About: I have taken care of animals my entire life, primarily cats but dogs and fish as well. Most other animals I put extensive research into the care of when considering owning them, and I would be more than happy to use that knowledge to give your animals the best care possible. I am currently working on continuing my education, so having a way to cover my bills that allows me a flexible schedule doing something I love seemed the perfect fit. Raising my own cat, Tabitha, from a kitten to be a very social, outgoing, sweet girl who loves going for harness walks has left me with a healthy appreciation of how well it works if you treat an animal with respect and expect the same. That being said, house rules come first, and I will make sure to enforce them in your absence.

“I can't say enough about Christine and her willingness to help and care for my animals. I was so very worried to leave Caesar, my 15 y.o. dog who has hearing and sight issues, at home without me. Christine did her best to make my guys feel comfortable and loved!! My cat, Mahzick feel in love with her .<3 She was very timely each day, with her check-ins, which I noted on the app. and sent me many photos ( which eased my mind) every time she dropped in. My pets looked happy and I know they were!! When I arrived home, I noticed that she left me a "Welcome Back Mommy" note from the pets, on the door. :) She even washed some dishes that I had left in the sink!! SO sweet!! I couldn't be more appreciative of Christine and how she took all of my anxiety away. I had no worries at all. I would definitely have Christine help me again with Caesar and Mahzick. About: Hi! I'm Melissa! A little bit about me. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats. Since the moment I was born, I was raised alongside dogs and cats and at one point in my childhood we had three large breed dogs and 2 cats at once, so fun and crazy! This always nurtured my deep appreciation for animals from an early age. One of our family dogs even had three litters of puppies during my teenage years, giving me hands on experience caring for dogs and puppies of all ages and sizes. Today, I have my own dog in my own family home, a 76 pound English Coonhound rescue from Arkansas. Despite his high energy levels, strength and tendency to pull on the leash, I handle him confidently and independently. I adopted him through Philly Rescue Angels Inc., where I am also an approved foster. Family and friends have relied on me for years from a young age to let out, walk, feed, and play with their dogs whether it be when they need help on short notice or go on an extended vacation. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve had cats throughout my life and have fostered them as well. One of my cats even needed daily insulin injections for diabetes and I always handled that myself. My background has given me a well rounded understanding of animal care, and I take pride in my ability to provide attentive, compassionate, and responsible care for all of your pets! Since I am a nurse, I also understand most medical conditions and medication administration and precautions for pets as well, they're more similar to us than we realize! I am a registered nurse whom only works 3 days per week. I am quite flexible in my schedule and can move around my days easily if requested! I have a fenced in yard. I have a friendly dog to play with your pup! And an extra large crate if you need your pet crated at all. Pets are allowed on furniture in my house as well!

I have 3 border collies, my daily routine is dogs. Training, playing, and adventuring is what we do. Every day has basics that need to be met, but also beyond that.
