About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was ten years old, and I absolutely love their company! I love caring for pets of all ages; our sweet rescue passed away a year ago, who we took in during her golden years, and now my wife and I have a 2.5 year old pup with an abundance of youthful energy. O she loves making new friends, and we would love to have some more dog time ourselves! We go on regular walks, play in the dog park at least once a day, and can handle any dietary, medical, or other type of need your little one has. I’m a paraprofessional; so I have summers off. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
