“We dropped Zuni off for a test run day care & we couldn’t be happier with how it went! Jay knows her stuff and we felt comfortable knowing that Zuni was in the care of a true dog person.”

“Thank you Sheena for offering outstanding daycare to Nala my 8 year old golden retriever. Sheena went above and beyond, syncing clearly with me to make sure I understood how her care could best support Nala, being flexible for drop/pickup time when my schedule changed last notice, and of course taking a ton of fun and amazingly photographed pictures of Nala throughout the day to keep me updated! I’d love to take Nala back to see Sheena again, she is a very down-to-earth and kind person :)”
“Gordon & Allison watched our senior dog Doodle Bug for a few days. They were very understanding of his special needs as a 14 year old dog with joint problems, and we received regular updates on how Doodle Bug was doing with cute photos attached. We would happily trust Gordon and Allison with our beloved Doodle Bug again in the future.”

“Stephanie was reliable and communicative, providing regular updates and photos. Our Poppy had a wonderful time and was so well cared for. We’d definitely book with her again! Highly recommended!”

“Vivian is by far the best sitter we’ve had. Jasper absolutely loves her! I really appreciate how she took the time to get to know his personality and asked questions prior to drop off. She sent lots of photos and videos which made me feel more at ease while being away. He had lots of fun & came home so tired. Vivian will 100% be our go to sitter moving forward =)”

About: We’re Alvin & Ashley, devoted dog parents and partners in life and pet care. We have 25+ years of combined experience. Growing up with dogs and caring for friends’ pups sparked our passion for small‑dog care. Since then we’ve raised our own Cavapoo, Sterling, from puppyhood into adulthood and have hosted dozens of small breeds through Rover. Our experience spans puppies, seniors, anxious rescues and pups with special dietary needs. We are comfortable administering oral medication, supporting post‑surgical dogs and accommodating senior quirks like limited mobility or hearing loss. Your pet receives loving, family-style care, not just a boarding spot. As a husband‑and‑wife team working from home, we devote our days to keeping tiny tails wagging. From morning potty breaks to bedtime cuddles, one of us is always there. If Alvin steps out for an errand, Ashley is here with your pup. If Ashley is busy, Alvin has it covered. We share all care duties, follow your feeding and medication instructions to the letter, and welcome written schedules. Your dog’s safety and comfort are non‑negotiable. We live in a quiet, dog‑friendly housing complex with two on‑site playgrounds designed for small breeds. We also cap groups at one to two small dogs, meaning your pup never has to compete with large breeds. Our home features puppy gates, soft beds, a small metal crate available if needed and multiple living areas so pups can be separated or have private nap time. We’re a non‑smoking household with no children. Dogs are welcome on our furniture and bed if that’s what they’re used to. You’re welcome to bring your dog’s own crate or bedding to help them feel at home. We also provide daily photo and video updates throughout each stay, keeping you connected to your pup’s adventures.
“Great experience with doggy day care. I appreciated how Ronnie managed the handoff and walked him immediately to get him comfortable with her and her dog, and also sent pictures of the afternoon.”

“This was our first time leaving our pup with someone through Rover and we’re so glad it was with Peter! He is super responsive and sent pictures throughout the day. We would recommend him to everyone!”

“Bob and his wife are amazing guardians for the dogs in their care. I feel like my dog is seen and catered to based on his unique personality. It’s a wonderful gift to know that my dog is playing at the beach, going on walks, hanging out with other dogs, and getting snuggles all day while I’m at work and school.”

“Irene was good with Mamba. It was Mambas first time and he was very anxious. Irene was very mindful and made sure to want she can to make sure Mamba was less anxious. She took him on a walk and gave him lots of attention.”

“Julley is very caring with my dogs. She kept us updated with all their activities. Thank you for accommodating Piper and Luna for such a short notice! Looking forward to booking with you again.”

About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 40 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. Growing up surrounded by pets, I've always had a deep connection with animals — they've always been part of my family. Over the years, I’ve rescued many animals, worked as a cat socializer at the SPCA, and have continued to dedicate my time and heart to making pets feel loved, safe, and happy. I've had the joy of caring for many dogs in my home, giving each one lots of love, attention, and a safe, comfortable place to stay—both inside and outside in my private, fully fenced backyard with a spacious real grass lawn for supervised play. I book only 1 dog per day for Daycare and Boarding to ensure your loved ones gets the space and attention they need and deserve in a calm environment. I'm located in the beautiful Outer Sunset, where there are plenty of dog-friendly trails, parks, and beach spots to explore. I love spending time walking and playing with dogs. I always give my companion my fullest attention and ensure they are getting the exercise and enrichment they need. Whether your dog loves a brisk walk or prefers a slow, sniff-filled stroll, I always cater the pace and route to match their unique personality. I know how important it is to trust someone with your beloved pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether it's daily walks, boarding, or drop-ins, I provide the same love and care as I would my own furry family members. If you're looking for someone experienced, responsible, and genuinely passionate about animals — I’d love to meet you and your pet! I am very flexible both during the week and on weekends. I would love to hear about your specific needs so please reach out to me. I have a large, private, and fully-fenced in backyard for supervised play. My backyard yard features a real grass lawn, trees with a shaded area, and a large deck with plenty of sun for relaxing. I also have multiple indoor spaces for lounging and comfort. My home is smoke-free. If your pet is looking for a comfortable and safe environment full of love and attention - this is it!

I’m available for most services and can work around whatever routine works best for you and your pet I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel comfortable and at ease. I have a cat at home so I’m experienced with pets in a home setting. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. “This was Rupert’s second time with Adrian (although it was for daycare, instead of boarding). Rupert was exhausted by the time I picked him up. He usually loves to look outside of the window during car rides; but on the ride home, he napped the entire way. Adrian was extremely communicative throughout the day. I’ll definitely book with him again!”

Lakeshore dog parents share their Rover experiences
Oh, where do I start with how much my dog Kony loved being with Jill and her family? First, he walked right up to her door without even noticing I was still there! When I picked him up, he did NOT want to come home with me because he wanted to stay with Jill. I literally had to drag and carry my 50 lb dog out of the house and into the car because he was treated so well at Jill’s. I can now fully trust her to watch Kony weekly and for overnight boarding. I’ll definitely be telling all my dog-parent friends to book her fast — she’s popular for a reason! Thank you, Jill. I truly can’t thank you enough. See you soon!

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Renee and Christopher for Chewy’s daycare. They’re easy to work with, send frequent updates, and are clearly very thoughtful dog lovers — our senior dog Chewy seems so happy and comfortable in their home. Chewy often takes a while to warm up to new people, but they were quick to get a read on his personality and have made him feel at ease. When we go to drop him off he usually runs right in without looking back!

After the meet and greet, I felt comfortable with Christopher caring for Beau for the day. He answered any questions I had and I would recommend him. Beau seemed in good spirits when I picked him up and I feel confident asking Christopher to care for Beau in the future.

My pup stayed with Jayern for the first time and had the best time! Jayern is responsive, transparent, friendly, and knows A LOT about dogs and how to read them. A huge bonus is a set of high-quality adorable photos of the dogs at the end of the visit. We look forward to bringing our pup to Jayern again.
