About: I've had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. Unfortunately, my family dog recently passed away, which only deepened my appreciation for the love and companionship pets bring into our lives. I recently graduated from Florida State University and regularly volunteered at Champs Chance Rescue in Tallahassee, where I helped care for dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also fostered a dog this past semester, which gave me valuable experience providing consistent care and helping a dog adjust to a new environment. I love spending time outdoors, going on walks, and making sure dogs get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. As a nursing student, I'm responsible, dependable, and attentive to each pet's individual needs, and I treat every dog like they're my own. I’m currently focused on studying for my NCLEX to become a Registered Nurse, so I spend the majority of my time studying from home. I also work part-time as a Pilates instructor, which is typically only a 6–10 hour commitment each week, and my schedule is very flexible. Because of this, I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, companionship, walks, and playtime for your pet throughout the day. My home is a safe and pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for your dog to feel comfortable. I have a pet ferret who stays in his cage, and I am able to crate your dog if needed. I also have a screened-in pool area and live in a gated neighborhood with lots of green space that's perfect for walks. Additionally, there is a local dog park just a short drive away for dogs who enjoy extra exercise and socialization.

About: I have taken care of animals my entire life and I would love to help take care of your fur babies! I have taken care of my own animals as well as friends/ family’s animals since 13 years old. I currently have 3 fur babies of my own as well as an entire colony of feral cats that I take care of. About: Hello! My name is Katie, and I am a highly educated, experienced caretaker of all types of animals. If it walks on four legs, more than likely I've taken care of them at some point haha! My journey with animals began when I was just 8 years old. Now at 23, my home is filled with love thanks to my wonderful pets: Elita, my loyal five-year-old German Shepherd 🐕, and Bumblebee, my overly adorable six-year-old calico cat🐈. I attended Auburn University (before I transferred to a cheaper school), where I majored in Animal Science and was an active member of the equestrian team (hunt seat). I was also a member of their Eventing team! My passion for animals isn't just limited to my own pets; I've dedicated countless hours to understanding and caring for them. I interned under many eventers, worked under several veterinarians, and gained many years of invaluable experience. I have lived in California, Colorado, Wisconsin, Florida, Alabama and Georgia, and each state I lived in gave me more and more experience with many different kinds of animals. Beyond my technical training, I have volunteered at a service dog training non-profit, which gave me a unique perspective on the incredible bond between animals and humans. My time working at numerous animal shelters has further fueled my dedication to providing the best care for all creatures. I also have a special fondness for birds, especially macaws (coolest birds I have ever been around for sure). My current job has a hybrid schedule, and I work from home most days, so my schedule is quite flexible. This allows me to provide consistent and attentive care to your pets. My house has nature trails, several ponds and paved walking trails. If your cat were to stay with me overnight, they'd stay in my large bathroom with a large bed, litter box, and water fountain. Dogs will be kept in my dog's crate overnight and let out for the last time at 10:30pm and again at 6am.

“Poliana was wonderful ? ??! I hired her to walk my 8 month 70 pound yellow lab twice daily for three consecutive days while his regular dog walker was out. We did a FaceTime meeting which allowed me to see her care of her current animals and allowed me to review the particulars of my home and dog. I was honest with Poliana in that my dog was very much still a puppy and that despite doing two months of one on one doggy training pulling on the leash was something his regular dog walker complained about still to the point I was actively reaching out to his dog trainer to help remediate. Poliana advised me she would be able to work with my dog and work with him she did ?. I advised her I walk him on the left usually with no criss crossing allowed unless he is given the cue to stop etc and that I usually shorten up the leash in my hand to do so. She did the exact same! She actually mentioned she didn’t find he pulled excessively with her which I believe is more of a kudos to her experience with dogs and command of the situation each time she walked him. I was actually cringing at the thought of another dog walker complaining about my puppy who despite two months of very expensive one on one obedience training with a behavioralist is still a puppy ?. A 70 lb one at that! She did amazing and always filled his water bowls with fresh water too. I was a little nervous allowing a stranger into my home alone but Poliana was very trustworthy and I am very grateful for that also. I am so thankful she did such a wonderful job walking my son (my puppy! ???) and putting me at ease he was in kind, competent and able hands ?. Thanks again Poliana!!! 5 stars!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ???.
