“Jamie regularly watches and walks my pup for me while I’m at work, and she’s been so caring! She’s so attentive, and she communicates with me a lot. Very trustworthy sitter!”

“Maestro and Maggie Mae really enjoyed their time with Samantha. Of course, the first couple of walks they were a bit anxious with a new human, but by the third walk they were both waiting by the front door for her arrival. Samantha is a sweet young woman, who really seems to love her gig as a walker. We heartily recommend her, and most importantly, will reach out again for her services when required. Thanks Samantha”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for about three years, from daily walks and drop-in visits to staying overnight when families are on vacation. I’ve worked with pets of all ages puppies who need lots of play and guidance, and senior pets who just need a little extra patience and love. I’ve also cared for cats, so I understand how different their personalities can be and adjust to what makes them most comfortable. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I’m currently in school, which gives me a flexible schedule with plenty of spare time. That means I can easily fit in walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. I love spending that extra time with pets it’s a great balance to my school routine! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space and routines with the same respect I would want for my own. I follow any instructions closely to keep pets on their normal schedule, whether that’s feeding, walks, or playtime. I always make sure doors and gates are secure, and I take time to ensure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to give both pets and their people peace of mind.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Doctor Phillips
Taylor has to be one of the best people to take care of my Zoe. She walked Zoe everyday for two weeks and was always on time, made sure Zoe was well exercised and well fed.Taylors love for animals and her work is very evident and I️ will definitely be using her again.
Sarah was amazing. She cared for our dogs while we were at the park. It was nice to not have to come back to the campground to let them out. She showed up when she was supposed to and gave us a report to know how things went. She was also very understanding and compassionate when we had to cancel because our kids got sick. If we come back to Disney, we would definitely use her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
