“Maestro and Maggie Mae really enjoyed their time with Samantha. Of course, the first couple of walks they were a bit anxious with a new human, but by the third walk they were both waiting by the front door for her arrival. Samantha is a sweet young woman, who really seems to love her gig as a walker. We heartily recommend her, and most importantly, will reach out again for her services when required. Thanks Samantha”

“We moved back to Orlando and needed someone new to walk Jimmy and Sherry has helped tremendously. She’s very kind and communicates well. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her when I need help during the weeks.”

“Nancy was absolutely wonderful! She took excellent care of Coco, was attentive, patient, and made sure she was comfortable throughout the walk. She kept me updated and sent so many adorable photos that it almost felt like Coco had her own little photoshoot! It truly made my day. It's clear that Nancy genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. I felt completely at ease knowing Coco was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with Nancy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and thoughtful person”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 13 and have over 6 years of hands-on experience with dogs, and cats. I've worked n the veterinary field for the past 3 years, which has given me experience recognizing health concerns, following medication instructions, and handling animals safely and confidently. As an aspired veterinarian, I treat every animal with patience, compassion, and the same level of care I'd want for my own pets I’m a student with most of my classes online, which gives me a very flexible schedule. This allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine, whether that’s morning, midday, or evening visits. Because of my flexibility, I’m able to provide consistent care, spend quality time with pets, and adjust my schedule as needed to meet each pet’s specific needs. I provide care exclusively in my client’s home to ensure pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special care needs. I make it a priority to keep the home clean, secure, and exactly as I found it while giving pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I’m attentive to each pet’s behavior and needs, making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for at all times. I also provide regular updates, including messages and photos, so owners can feel confident and reassured while they’re away. My goal is to create an stress-free experience for both pets and their owners by being reliable, respectful, and attentive.
About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs. I’ve been around dogs since I was two years old and have spent years caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve personally owned both large and small breeds, trained all of my own dogs, and developed a strong understanding of canine behavior, body language, and individualized care. I’m also experienced with proper nutrition and feeding routines, including specialized diets and raw feeding, and I know how important it is to follow each dog’s routine exactly. I treat every dog as if they were my own, providing safe, reliable, and personalized care so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away. Currently I am not working so I have complete flexibility to fit your needs for your pup even if that is last minute. I provide quick responses and open communication. As of now I cannot offer daycare or boarding in my home but I always treat my clients home as I would treat my own with the upmost respect and care for their property. I will be as diligent and detailed as possible when entering your home and caring for your pet.

About: My connection with animals has been a constant throughout my life, but a true calling became clear through my journey with my current dog .. Theo .. 🐶 since getting him in 2021, Theo has faced a series of health challenges, including neurological symptoms and an 8 week period of strict, stay at home crate rest after an IVDD diagnosis .. caring for him through these health issues, along with my past experience with pet loss, reshaped my priorities. I realized that to heal and thrive, I need to spend as much time around dogs as humanly possible. With 20+ years as a professional in food & beverage, management, corporate recruiting, and HR, I bring high levels of responsibility, communication, and detail oriented care to every pet I look after. I understand deep down how precious our pets are and how important it is to find someone you trust completely. I promise to provide the same devoted love & care I share with my own family. ✨🐾 my schedule is completely flexible right now with open availability for drop ins and walks seven days a week, day or night. ✨☀️🌘✨ I am able to give your dog my full, undivided attention and stick strictly to the visit times that work best for your schedule. 🐾 I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and I treat that responsibility with genuine care. I cater directly to your pup's unique needs, whether that means following a strict routine, giving medication, or just taking things slow with a sensitive dog. 🩵 For safety, I focus on dogs under 40 lbs. while I’ve handled 70 to 90 lb dogs in the past, staying under 40 lbs fits my size best and ensures maximum control on walks. 🦮 I respect your home, strictly follow your instructions, and send quick photo 📸 updates so you always have total peace of mind. 🐾
“Tanisha was friendly and sweet to my dog. She was puntual and flexible with my schedule. I definitely recommend her, she followed all my instructions and took my dog for long walk. My dog quickly warmed up to her.”

I work part time but I would love to make time to meet ur furry friend and also help you out! I have too much time on my hands anyways. All of my animals are well behaved and healthy and mature. They have their own personalities that makes the smart. All of my animals are trained.
“Jennifer is a great pet sitter, she es very sweet, reliable and very good taking care of my dog Leela. When I come back from my vacations my dog is always happy and calm. I will definitely book her again to take care of my Leela.”

About: I’m a caring and responsible pet sitter who truly loves animals. I treat every pet like my own and always take the time to understand their routine, personality, and needs. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive—whether your pet is playful, shy, or just needs extra comfort. From walks and feeding to playtime and cuddles, I make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I make sure pets are never rushed and always receive the time, love, and supervision they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and carefully follow all care instructions. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in loving and reliable hands.
About: For over 10 years, caring for animals has been something I truly love. Whether it's raising playful puppies, helping them through their curious (and sometimes stubborn!) teenage phase, or providing gentle, loving care during their senior years, I've been fortunate to experience every stage of their lives. My experience comes from caring for my own babies, fostering, and pet sitting for family, friends, and other pet parents. I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. I'm patient, dependable, and happy to go at your pet's pace whether that means endless games of fetch, quiet cuddle time, or simply being a comforting presence while you're away. I also have experience administering medications and know how important it is to stick to feeding, walking, and medication schedules to help your pet feel secure and comfortable. I know how difficult it can be to leave your furry family member with someone else. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind by treating your pet with the same love, kindness, and attention I would give my own. To me, they aren't just pets they're family, and they deserve to feel safe, happy, and loved every step of the way. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work a flexible part time schedule and attend school online, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and get plenty of exercise under my supervision. My home is quiet, with only two adults and no children or other pets, creating a calm and low-stress environment for your furry family member. I recently lost my childhood dog to congestive heart failure, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and it would be an honor to provide your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I gave my own. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll follow their routine closely to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

About: While in college, I volunteered at a human society and have been caring for my family dogs since I was able to stay home alone, up until currently. Right now, I am trying to figure out my career after college and what I want to do with my degree so I figured in the meantime why not do something that I have a strong passion for! I am very young and active, so just about everytime your baby wants/needs to go outside I will take them for a walk. I also love to play with them, if that’s something they love. I am here to make your pet feel most comfortable while you are away!

About: I've had dogs all of my life. I previously had two Yorkies and now I have one Yorkie and a Beagle that I love deeply. I have experience of taking care of small dogs and bigger dogs. I am ready to try to take care of all type of dogs and to make sure they are taken care of and shown love. Right now I am employed as an Resident Assistant, but my shifts are scheduled for the whole semester so I know exactly when I’m available. Due to summer, my classes have ended and now I am free pretty much all day except when I’m working. I am somewhat flexible, but I would love a set time and date to make it easier on me. I have two dogs who have taught me so much about what it’s like to take care of dogs. Right now I live at a dorm so I won’t be able to have dogs over my place, but I would love to come over to the pets home where they’re most comfortable and give them company and love.
“Maddie did a wonderful job walking our pups while we were in town and out adventuring during the days. She was very quick with correspondence, right from booking and through the week, providing pics and details of each walk. The pups took to her quickly, and we had a great peace of mind knowing she'd swing by and take care of them. We will definitely look to use Maddie in the future when in the area.”

Sophia was absolutely amazing with my pet. You can genuinely tell how much she cares — she treats your pet like it’s her own. While I was away, she kept me constantly updated with messages and check-ins, which gave me so much peace of mind. It made such a difference knowing my pet was not only safe, but truly cared for. I would 100% recommend Sophia to anyone looking for someone reliable, attentive, and loving to watch their pet.

I contacted Laura very last minute needing a walk for Teddy, even though it was last minute she still replied right away and was nearby & was able to make it over within 25min. Very quick & friendly service, I will absolutely be using her again! Thanks for being amazing Laura

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
