About: I’ve had many pets from dogs and cats to a bird, turtle, and hedgehog. I’ve been determined to play with all of them, even the fish! I also have experience with elderly dogs. Mine actually passed recently of cancer so spoon feeding and an abundance of cuddles is normal to me. Im currently doing school online while at home caring from my grandparents so my schedule is pretty open and any excuse to be outside is a plus! I have two cats and a big backyard!! One cat is really sweet and friendly and the other is scared of everything but completely harmless. In a clients home, I promise i’m a good guest:)

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I truly enjoy caring for pets and treating each one as if they were my own. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I love giving pets the attention, affection, and comfort they need to feel at home. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I take that responsibility to heart. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I provide in-home care in a calm, comfortable environment, always centered around your pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs. Because some pups do best with one-on-one attention, single-client care is available by request, depending on my schedule. This option allows me to focus exclusively on your pet, with no shared stays and truly dedicated attention. If single-client care sounds like a good fit for your pet, feel free to mention it in your booking request and I’m happy to share availability and details. I’m always happy to answer questions and make sure we’re a great fit. I work from home with flexibility in my schedule, which makes it easy to support frequent potty breaks, long walks, and plenty of cuddles—whatever your pet needs to feel comfortable and loved. I have a large screened-in back patio and a fully fenced backyard. Our patio includes a doggy door, so pets can safely move between indoor and outdoor spaces at their leisure.

About: My expertise is cats but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to take care of a dog across all of the basic needs; I just don’t have deep dog knowledge. I currently only am employed door dashing so I’m always out and about in the city. If you think you’re too far from me, you’re not. It’s important to me that your pet gets attention while you are away, so I will make sure to stay and play or cuddle or whatever your baby needs for at least 15 minutes per visit.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs of different ages and personalities. I currently have two spayed female cats, ages 5 and 10 both are good with other animals, and previously cared for our family Morkie for many years who has since passed. I’ve also helped care for my dad’s Golden Retriever with walks, feeding, playtime, and daily routines. Being around animals has always been a meaningful part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. ✨ I work from home and have a flexible schedule through my small business, which makes it easy for me to provide attentive and reliable pet care throughout the day. 🐾 I focus on creating a calm, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel safe and relaxed. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any specific routines their pet is used to. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the pet’s routine to help minimize stress while their owner is away. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured and connected throughout the stay. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I always approach them with patience, attention, and gentle care.

About: Hi! I’m a dog lover who enjoys spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. Although I don’t have a dog of my own, I’ve cared for friends and family dogs on multiple occasions and have experience helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and giving them lots of attention and affection. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so I’m happy to follow your instructions to make sure your pup feels as comfortable as possible. Whether your dog is energetic and loves to play or prefers a quiet day with plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they get the care and attention they deserve. I’m dependable, patient, and committed to providing a safe, loving environment for your pet. I know how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I’ll care for your dog with kindness, respect, and plenty of love. I look forward to meeting you and your furry best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my schedule. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available for evening walks and drop-in visits after work. On weekends, I have much more flexibility, which allows me to dedicate my full attention to pet sitting and making sure your dog gets plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and companionship. I’ll always do my best to follow your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I live in a dog-friendly apartment community with access to a fenced dog park and plenty of areas for walks. I also have two other roommates who are comfortable around dogs and help create a welcoming environment. When caring for dogs in my home, I focus on providing a safe, calm, and loving space where they can stick to their normal routine as much as possible. I’ll make sure they get regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, fresh water, meals according to your instructions, and lots of attention and affection. My goal is to help every dog feel comfortable, happy, and at home during their stay.

About: Besides taking care of my own precious miniature schnauzer growing up, I have looked over dogs for several families for the past 10+ years with services including boarding, walks, visits and doggy day care for all kinds of breeds. I had to be inactive on rover for a couple of years due to moving but happy to be back! I have also worked as a receptionist/assistant at a Veterinary clinic where I interacted and looked over many different breeds that passed through or stayed over night. During this time I also learned a lot about how to assist dogs with medical issues and important signs of needing urgent care. I have a deep love for all kinds of animals, dogs (& cats!) especially, and would be more than happy to take care of your furry friends just as I would my own! I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have and will always make sure your dog is happy, comfortable, and well looked after :) I can adjust my schedule to their wake up/meal times as well. On the weekends, I can take them out to dog friendly spaces if that is something they enjoy 😊 Before any stay, I make sure everything is set up for your pup’s arrival and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a dog gate to prevent them from getting out or from going anywhere I can’t keep an eye on them. For stays or visits, I don’t take any dog out off leash for walks and I make sure to put on their leash securely before opening the door. If they will be left alone for any reason, I will generally place them in their crate for their safety unless you are comfortable with them being out. I currently work part time and am usually home all day on Mondays and Fridays, and most of the day on weekends. I'm able to adjust my schedule to accommodate your pets routine better and would also be able to take them with me sometimes! If they will be left alone for any reason, I will generally place them in their crate for their safety unless you are comfortable with them being out. As a note, I live in a second floor apartment with my boyfriend (also a huge dog lover that has grown up with dogs). There are stairs and elevator if it is hard for your pup to get up the stairs. We also have a patio that has a pretty high railing, so it is safe, but if I bring your pup out there then they would be leashed and accompanied at all times to ensure their safety.

About: I grew up in a house with both cats and dogs where everyone got along great! Once I moved out of the house I adopted my first rescue dog and have had dogs as pets ever since. Currently fostering dogs for Orange County Animal Services and have helped them get several dogs adopted into forever homes. I have regularly helped friends with dogsitting and housesitting while they are away from home, and have taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages. Currently working part time, from home, so my schedule is very flexible on both weekdays and weekends. Mornings or afternoons I'm available for pet play dates or walking. Trusting our pets with someone else is a big step, so I take their safety and security very seriously. When walking a dog I'm always cautious about traffic, strangers, or other pets that have been let off leash. Building trust with your pet is the best way to keep them safe so they can see you again soon!

I cannot thank Naya enough for always taking care of my dog, Lucy. More than that, she is also very aware of her surroundings and attentive to what’s going on. The last time she visited my house, she had noticed my indoor cats broke through a screen and were outside wondering around. She spent her own time finding my cats and then making sure they were safe inside. Again- I cannot thank her enough. She is the absolute best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
