“Karen was amazing! She was very attentive and a great communicator. She kept us informed about the pups regularly and provided photos. Our little pack welcomed her with open paws. She took great care of our fur babies and our home. We will definitely have her take care of our pups next time we are out of town.”

“Sarah did an amazing job caring for our two dogs, Kizzy and Odin! She sent us lots of updates and pictures, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Sarah also picked up our packages and took wonderful care of our house. We truly appreciated her thoughtfulness and reliability, and we would definitely book her again!”

“Naturally I was so nervous leaving Harlow with someone new but Staycee made me feel so at ease. She was flexible and accommodating. She sent daily updates with pictures. The house was left exactly how I left it. She’s amazing, would definitely recommend!”

“Tiffany was awesome. She stayed with my two rambunctious Boston Terrier puppies for a long weekend. We recieved many pictures and updates during our time away giving us comfort that our babies were being well taken care of. Our babies are spoiled and sleep in bed with us. Tiffany didn't bat an eye in sharing the bed. Best yet the house was clean and dog poop all picked up. We definately would use her again. Highly recommended!”

“Nick was the absolute perfect sitter for our pup. This was our first time using Rover and we were a little worried about the process and he put our mind at ease. Now that we are home, our pup keeps going into our guest room to look for Nick, so our pup must have had a great time! Will definitely use again for our next trip!”
“Cynthia was incredible! Very communicative and sent lots of pictures and videos of our girl. This was the first time we have left our baby girl since the death of our other fur baby, Dexter, in December, so we were really nervous leaving her. Cynthia eased all of our nerves by spoiling our girl rotten, which I personally believe every dog deserves. Thank you, Cynthia, for loving on our fur baby so well. Will definitely be using Cynthia on a regular basis for doggy sitting.”

About: Hands on experience caring for animals I provide dependable, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s unique needs. I’m comfortable with a wide variety of animals from large to small. I am retired and I do Uber on the side. I have very flexible hours and I’m available from dog walking, spending time with your animals to staying with them in your home to house sitting. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand that every animal is different, and I will take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special needs that they may have. Whether your pet needs lots of playtime, quiet, companionship, medication or extra patience, I provide loving a attentive care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pets is to feel completely comfortable, knowing they’re in experienced, caring and trustworthy hands.
“Shelley was very communicative during her stay. After a rough start for not having the code to our door (completely my fault) things went very smoothly. Daisy and the house were well cared for.”

“Kaley was so good to my Murphy boy! Updated me throughout the day constantly with pictures, I love how I didn’t even have to ask for that. She stayed in my home with Murphy and had everything the way I left it when I got back home. Kaley will be my preferred pet sitter from now on!”

“Devona was amazing. We needed someone who could stay with our two cone headed dogs after a recent dog attack. She took great care of them and sent many photo updates. Will definitely use her again!”

About: We have had over 20 years of experience with big dogs of all ages. We had to put our last dog down almost 2 years ago and we have been missing the stimulation and energy. We sincerely hope you choose us to take care of your dog! Se habla Espanol. Мы говорим на русском языке. We do go to school and work from 8:30 to somewhere between 2:30 and 4:00 on weekdays but my mom can usually stop by around 10:30 or 2:00 to walk them. Over the weekend we usually go out Saturday morning for a few hours or Sunday afternoon but we are not out the whole day. We have an unfenced yard with plenty of room to run around in and sidewalks to take walks in front of the house. We do not allow pets on beds or couches however if they are potty trained, we will leave rugs on the floor so it's not too hard. If they are not fully potty trained, we can leave pee pads on the floor for them to use. If we go to your house to walk them we will take them out on a walk and then bring them back home and feed them maybe play a little, and leave.
“Emily is a consistently phenomenal sitter. As always, she kept us updated on what was going on with Kova (and sent super cute photos), and she was also willing to help receive a grocery order and even put something in the oven for us that could be ready when we were home. She is amazing!”

“Danielle was available to help us out last minute when our Sitter cancelled. She was fabulous. Very professional from the initial booking interaction to the excellent care provided for our pups. Nate and Oki loved their day with her and we could not have been happier with Dani’s Service. Thanks!!!… you helped to really make our day a fantastic one.”

“Mariah is amazing and so attentive to detail! My pup can be nervous and shy with unfamiliar people, but Mariah did a great job helping her warm up to her. She is very responsive and great to work with 💜”

“Jennifer did a great job the past 9 days house sitting and caring for our Cory. Cory was in great spirits when we returned home and our house was clean & orderly. We would definitely recommend her for future needs. Thanks Jen!”

“Mia did an amazing job with our high energy puppies. This was our first time leaving them with a non-family member and we were a bit apprehensive. Mia did an amazing job of calming our anxiety. She was prompt. She asked a lot of great questions before the booking and made sure our emergency contact information was available. Mia sent photos and kept us updated throughout the night. We highly recommend Mia and will be booking her again.”

About: I adore animals of all size and shapes! I am experienced with animals of all ages and conditions. I grew up with cats, dogs, birds, chickens, fish and more. I have experience with all ages, from fostering and raising kittens from 4 weeks old to looking after senior dogs over the age of 15. I have an American Hairless Terrier and a calico tabby that I will not stop talking about! I have 2 pets myself at the moment, so I understand how much a schedule is needed to keep them happy and healthy. I have open availability so I am able to work around your plans as needed. Every animal has different exercises and attention needs, and I aim to meet all of them. For dogs, I am a big fan of supervised outdoor time, whether that is a walk around the neighborhood or a good game of fetch in the back yard. While my cat may also enjoy a good game of fetch I know that not every cat does. I aim to make sure everyone is healthy, comfortable, and most importantly: safe!

Sarah did an amazing job caring for our two dogs, Kizzy and Odin! She sent us lots of updates and pictures, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Sarah also picked up our packages and took wonderful care of our house. We truly appreciated her thoughtfulness and reliability, and we would definitely book her again!

Kristina is awesome!! I have used her several times and my dogs love her. I can leave them knowing they are in great hands. They are never stressed when I return. Kristina sends several pictures a day saying everything is good. She is great at communicating. Highly recommend her services.

Stephanie was amazing!! She watched our 3 dogs while my husband and I went overseas for our wedding. We were gone for over a week, and we got multiple pictures and updates daily. She is extremely communicative and responsible. We were nervous to leave our babies that long but Stephanie put our minds at ease so we could relax while we were away. She left our house even cleaner than before we left. I would definitely recommend Stephanie and plan on booking her again! 10/10 stars! Thank you Stephanie!!

Kii was an absolutely amazing pet sitter, and we couldn’t have asked for better care for our two large-breed dogs while we were out of the country. Traveling during the holidays can be stressful, but Kii went above and beyond — even offering to stay longer in case our return flight was delayed, which gave us incredible peace of mind. She checked in twice daily with the sweetest photo updates, and it was clear our dogs were happy, relaxed, and completely in love with her. They quickly appointed themselves her furry “secretaries,” happily keeping her company while she worked from our home. We came back to two very content pups and felt completely confident they were safe, loved, and well cared for the entire time. We would 100% trust Kii again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely wonderful pet sitter.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 3,058 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Williamsburg. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Williamsburg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Williamsburg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Williamsburg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Williamsburg. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
