Hi! My name is Esmeralda, and I'm a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. From Chihuahuas and Golden Retrievers to Pit Bulls and everything in between, I've had the privilege of raising and caring for dogs throughout every stage of life. Every dog is different, and I love getting to know their unique personality and needs. Before joining Rover, I regularly provided dog sitting and drop-in visits for family members and members of my church community while living in Puerto Rico. Those and my personal experiences taught me the importance of being dependable, attentive, and treating every pet with the same love and respect I'd want for my own. What sets me apart is that I don't believe in "just watching" your pet—I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you're away. I take the time to learn their routine, respect their personality, and give them the attention they deserve, whether that's playtime, cuddles, walks, or simply keeping them company. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. As a dog mom myself, I understand the peace of mind that comes from knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. My goal is for both you and your pet to have a stress-free experience, with regular updates and plenty of love every step of the way. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend!

In my client's home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including their feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special instructions from their owner. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels comfortable staying in their familiar environment. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while keeping owners updated,whether thats through videos or pictures, so they have peace of mind and show how their ppets well being. Every pet is treated like family and cared for with the same love and patience I give my own.

Schedule
Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work a part-time remote job, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable drop-in visits, walks, and plenty of one-on-one attention. As a dog owner myself, I'm already used to feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets receive lots of love and care throughout the day. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make it a priority to keep them happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine. Daily Pet Care Schedule 8:00 AM – Morning Routine Morning potty break/walk Fresh water refill Breakfast feeding Morning playtime and attention 12:00 PM – Midday Check-In Potty break Short walk or play session Fresh water check Extra attention and companionship 4:00 PM – Afternoon Activity Walk or outdoor time Playtime and enrichment activities Check on comfort and needs 6:00 PM – Dinner Time Evening meal Fresh water refill Relaxation and affection 8:00–9:00 PM – Evening Routine Final potty break/walk Calm playtime or cuddles Ensure pets are comfortable before bedtime I understand every pet has their own routine, so I’m always happy to adjust feeding, walking, and care schedules based on each owner’s instructions and their pet’s individual needs.
