âKaren was the perfect dog sitter for Otis! She was so playful and spoiled him with long walks and play time. Her updates made me comfortable on my trip and allowed me to truly enjoy my time knowing Otis was happy and cared for. HIGHLY recommend!â

âElizabeth was great with my three very different personality dogs. They are little with big personalities! She managed them all so well, no accidents in the house, and gave them love as if they were her own. Iâm happy to have found someone reliable and patient to be with our pups when we go out of town:)â

âTaylor was amazing! We are new to pet-sitting and have pups that have only ever been watched by friends and family. She was very professional in all interactions from first text to first meeting with us and our dogs, to being able to do a second meet and greet right before our planned vacation to get some alone time with our grumpy older dog. She sent us photos, videos and daily updates. And everything went awesome! House was taken care of, she even watered our plants. I would 100% recommend her and she will be our go-to pet-sitter for future trips.â

âShelley was very communicative during her stay. After a rough start for not having the code to our door (completely my fault) things went very smoothly. Daisy and the house were well cared for.â

About: My first sitting job was at 14 for the neighbors across the street, during a month long trip. I have been sitting for friends on and off for the last 4 years, dogs and cats. I have a lot of experience with senior cats and cats who are on medication. I am currently an independent contractor, working as a performer. When in a show, weekends would be difficult, and at most a show run lasts 5 weeks. I also bartend at a theater, those shifts are only 4 hours, and are also only during the run of a show. My schedule always remains very flexible. Growing up I was the designated dog walker in the family, he was a very excitable and friendly dog so I have a lot of experience with dogs who pull on their leashes. I also was responsible for baths. I also have some experience with multiple dogs at a time, of all sorts of personalities. I have owned at least one cat since I was 6, I'm the girl who seeks out the cat at the party to hang out.
âNick was so amazing. Our dogs were well looked after, our home well taken care of, and we loved his updates. Our dogs canât wait to have him stay again!â

âTiffany was able to help us out last minute when other pet sitting plans fell through and weâre so happy to have found her! She was great with our two pups and sent us pics throughout her stay. She was great at communicating with us before and during and we came home to a clean home and happy pups. We will definitely use her again! Thank you Tiffany for your professionalism and for taking such good care of our pups!â

âNathan is great as always! He takes such good care of our babies while we are gone! We never have to worry! Lots of updates and pictures so I always know they are well taken care of! Highly recommend! We will continue to use him as our wonderful sitter!!â

âUnder unexpected and difficult circumstances during her stay, Yelena cared for my dogs in an extraordinarily special mannerâŚan effort I wonât forget and remain thankful forâ

âJonathan did an incredible job again! He has become our âgo-toâ sitter for our cat and dog. Our animals are so excited to see him and I suspect a little let down when they see us return. Lol. Jonathan provides such wonderful care and attention, sends updates and pics regularly, and it makes taking a family trip so much more relaxing knowing our fur babies are in great care. Canât recommend him enough!â

âKaitlyn took great care of my dog when I was away. She made sure she had plenty of walks and playtime. My dog seemed very happy when I came home to a clean house. Will be using her again!â

About: Since I was born I've been around dogs of all kinds whether they were my own, a family members, my friends and even neighbours. If I was to young to dog sit I would go with my grandma instead. I'm in the midst of resigning from my current job and will be available all hours of the day on weekdays for the time being. A firm believer of gentle parenting. Whenever I let dogs out I always watch or stay outside with them just in case and I try my best to give all dogs the good life they deserve, filled with love and fun.

âOur doggy enjoyed another wonderful sitting with Liz! We are so pleased to have found such a loving and attentive caregiver that loves spoiling our doggy as much as we do!â

âThanya was a fantastic housesitter and we would be happy to have her back at any point in the future. Our large dog and two cats were well cared for and completely chilled out and happy when we got back home. Thanya kept us in the loop with plenty of updates and made sure to communicate with any questions/details we forgot in our initial meet and greet. I know our new kitten was a handful in particular so I really appreciate her patience and attention. Thanks so much Thanya!â

Lauren does an amazing job. This was our 2nd timw having her house sit. The animals were well cared for and the house was tidy when we got back. She is great at communicating and sends photos of the animals. Lauren can even administer one of my tricky catâs medications. I will gladly hire her again.

Shelley was amazing, she kept me updated all the time which I love, she was very respectful of the property and stuff, she left everything clean and organized when she left, and our dog really seemed to love her company and having her close, and Nala doesn't trust others easily but Shelley made it happen, we were very happy with her service and care and how responsible and thoughtful she was during her stay with Nala, she also followed our instructions extremely well and even helped us to clean Nala's ears due to an infection. Highly recommended!

Meredith was absolutely wonderful professional, attentive, and kind throughout the entire experience. She carefully listened to and followed all instructions regarding our elderly dogs, which gave us great peace of mind. We truly appreciated her care and attention to detail. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Nick was fantastic! He came over for a meet-and-greet beforehand and asked thoughtful, insightful questions, which immediately gave me confidence in him. While we were out of town, he took excellent care of my two pups and kept me regularly updated with plenty of photos, giving me great peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving both my dogs and our home in his care. I wouldn't hesitate to have him watch our pups again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Bay Hill on Rover is $44.96 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bay Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bay Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bay Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bay Hill. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
