“I highly recommend Taylor! She is reliable, professional, and clearly cares about the animals she works with. Communication is excellent, and I appreciate the updates and photos during walks. It's a relief knowing my dog is in good hands, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring individual to take care of their pets!”

“Elizabeth was absolutely amazing! I had a last minute request and needed help getting my dog home from daycare. She was so responsive and amazing to work with. She took great care of my pup getting her all settled in and included plenty of photos! Made my busy day so much smoother and lighter. Will definitely work with her again”

“Shelley took such good care of my two kitties and sent their mom pictures everyday. She went above and beyond when one of them barfed on the rug and cleaned it. She brought in a package that was at my door.”

“Taryn was GREAT! If I could leave 10 stars, I would. Taryn watched our 8 month old golden retriever puppy, Blitz. From the first time she met Blitz during our meet & greet, we could tell she had a true love for dogs. We were at total peace knowing Taryn was watching Blitz, and she sent lots of pictures and videos! We will certainly be booking with Taryn again, she was the best!”

“Gina was so kind and considerate to not only my dog but me as well! I have a lot of anxiety surrounding pet sitters and having strangers in my home and around my baby but she made me and Bruno feel so comfortable! She took her time with him which really made a difference, he is not the type of dog to immediately trust someone so i needed someone willing to go slow. I will definitely be contacting her for future use! I would recommend Gina to any pet parent!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Doctor Phillips
Taylor was always on time, provided excellent care to my cats. One has diabetes. So it requires an extra step. She was always communicating every visit how they pets where doing. She kept everything tidy and I can tell she loves doing this and takes great pride in her job. I will hire here every time I need help.

Lillian is THE BEST AND SHE GENUINELY CARES! I was out of town for a week, my girl had some issues and I was super worried to leave. I received great updates, and a call when there was some not normal circumstances. Lillian even offered to be “on call” if we needed more visits. Not really on call but you get it. She is so good with my cat and eased my anxiety while I was gone. She is my permanent Rover! Zero doubts with her!

I felt so much better leaving for a long trip knowing I was leaving my cat in great hands with Lindsay! From the meet & greet, Lindsay was very communicative and on time. She kept me informed while I was away and made sure to always send photos. She made it a point to not only check on my cat's food and litter but also spend time giving her love and playing with her each day. I would definitely recommend Lindsay for your pet sitting needs!

Lauren is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She always takes amazing care of our three cats—Polly, Tithi, and Gordito—and I could tell they were happy and comfortable while we were away this time. She’s very reliable, kind, and clearly great with animals. Thanks Lauren!🐾

Lasharae has been great dropping in on Ferb. We had great communication and even though my requests were last minute, her responses were always fast in letting me know her availability. She also provided detailed information on how the visit went and photos as well. I definitely recommend her for looking after your pet(s).
Estoy muy agradecido con Usted por tan excelente servicio y por el cuidado de mi mascota. Volvería a dejarle mi gato. Gracias Anghi.
When we had to leave town unexpectedly due to a family loss, Elizabeth stepped in to care for our cat, Inka, just as she did during our previous vacation. She took great care of her with the same love and attention. Updates kept us at ease, and her reliable, compassionate care makes her our go-to pet sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Doctor Phillips. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
