“Sue exercised our two dogs and made sure they got out a lot of their energy! I was impressed with her quick study of the dogs and her ability to make sure they got what they needed.”

“We could not be more grateful for Eric. He has taken such good care of our HUGE (and relatively high maintenance) boys three times now. He’s super communicative, the boys love him, and we breathe easy knowing they’re safe!”

“Benjamin was very responsive and was able to help us out last minute. He was also very flexible and helped us work with our little guy through a bit of a fear-period. Would recommend him again!”

“Tracy has been the most amazing with our dog. She’s caring about him and his needs. She sends pictures and updates every day. I feel totally comfortable with her in our house and I couldn’t be more thankful to have come across her here. We will be using her M-F When ever she is available. We are so thankful for her.”

About: My entire life I've had pets. I am experienced with Seniors and pets going through or recovering from heart worm. I am able to administer medicine. I will walk, play, or just let them out in the yard. There is isn’t a dog or cat that I don’t love. I currently work from home and can give many walks and lots of attention. Weekends are an option also. I can come to your home and sometimes spend the night. I have a dog park in my neighborhood and love to go for long walks. I have a 7 year old dog and 12 year old cat.
About: Love borrowing my friends dogs for hikes! I do a lot of hiking alone, so it makes me feel a little bit safer to take a pup on a hike with me. Hikes are about an hour long. I have several long time clients throughout the county, that I help while out of town or walk dogs weekly. I have watched cats, Small dogs, all the way up to an Alaskan Malamutes, she just passed away so I am looking for a new dog bff. I have taken care of dogs my whole life and have dog sat for different families for years so I am used to a variety of dogs and their different needs. I have a small, unfenced in patio/yard and a park across the street from home. I’m a busy bartender and server on the weekends, so weekdays I’m more available to help out more full time. Over nights are doable more full time! I have several long time clients throughout the county, that I help while out of town or walk dogs weekly. About: The happiness and safety of a furbaby is always my top priority. I have fostered, owned, and cared for many unique dogs and cats. I have a great work ethic, I will follow your exact requests, and leave the home or job better than before! It is currently summer, I have one online summer class- so I am home majority of the time! I occasionally work at a local preschool from 3-5, and then am back home with the fur babies! I have minimal restrictions, if any, to what i’m able to do for you. I can feed as many times a day as needed, I can crate and I can help train. I will keep them off furniture if that’s what you prefer, and can help with special feeding instructions. Anything you need, that isn’t too un reasonable, of course.
About: I'm a caring and experienced pet caregiver who genuinely loves animals. I’ve also been a dedicated nurse for 10 years. I know how important it is to care for each unique pet and give them the love and attention they need. I've taken care of dogs with different needs, including health issues like seizures and anxiety, so I’m comfortable handling special situations and making sure your pet feels safe and cared for. The dates I list as available are days when I or my spouse are off from work and home 100%. As I work part-time as a nurse (2 days/week), I have plenty of time to play with your pups and give them the attention they need during our available days. My husband, Paul, and I are in our 30s and have lived in Silverthorne for the past 6 years. I’m a nurse, while he’s an environmental scientist. We love the outdoors and enjoy exploring the beautiful trails around our home. Although I am newer to Rover, I bring years of hands-on experience caring for dogs with various needs. My husband and I have both cared for pups in every stage of life. We are fully dedicated to providing your pet with the love and care they deserve. We live in a clean, pet-friendly, spacious 3-bedroom duplex (no roommates). Our shared yard is smaller, but the surrounding walkable areas have plenty of trails for outdoor adventures and exercise year-round — summer or winter! I currently have one dog of my own, who is older and very good with other pups. He’s a calm, friendly guy and will make your dogs feel at home with us. I am experienced in managing multiple pets and ensuring everyone feels safe and loved. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and compassionate. I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. If you think I might be the right fit for your furry friend, I’d love to chat or set up a meet-and-greet!
About: An animal lover from the start. I’ve been a house sitter and dog walker for many friends over the years. One of my favorite experiences was Christmas week & the owners left goodies for Santa, me and the doggos. Of course I sent pictures of the cookies that were snacked on for the young family members away from home. Cuddles, kisses, & tail wags are all acceptable forms of tips - thank you in advance. Currently bartending/serving part time so I have some free mornings and evening to take special good care of your pets. Love going on local hikes around the county. I’ve lived in Summit for 11 years so I may have been around your block once or twice. 😃 My favorite little scenic hike is up to the old Dillon reservoir. I also enjoy listening to the meandering creek along Straight Creek Trail. If your dog prefers your neighborhood route or the paved bike path I’m good with that as well! Whatever makes your life Pawsitive, I’m a cool cat. 😸

About: Dogs have been part of my life for over 25 years, and caring for animals comes naturally to me. I have experience supporting dogs with medical conditions, including diabetes and medication schedules, and I understand how important consistency, patience, and attentiveness are for pets with extra needs. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers a calm, relaxed environment, I adapt to their personality and routine. My goal is always to create a safe, comfortable space where your furry family member feels happy, cared for, and at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’ve had dogs for most of my life and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I make time for walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and giving pets attention throughout the day so they feel comfortable and cared for. I also enjoy staying active, so regular walks and exercise are something I naturally incorporate into my routine. Whether a pet needs energy and engagement or a calm, relaxed environment, I’m able to adapt to their needs and maintain a consistent routine for them. I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where pets can stick to their normal routines as much as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure pets receive consistent care through feeding schedules, walks, playtime, exercise, medication if needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also respect each pet’s personality and energy level, whether they enjoy being active or prefer a quieter environment. I pay close attention to safety, cleanliness, and communication, and I always aim to make pets feel secure and cared for while their owners are away. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel relaxed and confident knowing they’re in good hands.
About: I recently lost my puppy of 14 years, who was my world, so I decided to sign up to love on other dogs. I have volunteered at numerous shelters; taken training classes and first aid courses. I work from home part time, and am used to having a pup in-tow. I am almost always home and available, or outside carrying a leash. I am flexible and able to house sit and drop in. 5 min drive off I70 Exit 205 silverthorne. I know I just signed up, but am experienced and have plenty of time and space for your dog! You'll see 😁 I work from home, a few hrs per day. So that gives me a lot of flexibility and time for your pet. I am also available to house sit and do drop ins. I will provide a safe and caring home for your pup by offering daily exercise and playtime (and love), ensuring fresh food and water are always available, maintaining a clean and secure living environment, and seeking any veterinary care. I will also make sure your pet is comfortable and well loved, with plenty of attention and affection! 😊 I can send daily photos on request.
“Great experience! Bethany went above and beyond with our dog Kai (even let her pick out a bone at the local pet store!). She was quick to pick up on all the information we gave her and was great at communicating with us on how the walks went! It was a smooth process and we’d definitely book again!”

About: I have previously worked in a dog and cat daycare, boarding, and grooming center for three years, and have watched pets of family friends since 2018. I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, snakes, birds, and more, and my family regularly fosters kittens! I am comfortable with feeding, giving medication (not injections), walking, and providing care for all types of pets. My schedule is completely available for overnight care at your home, daily drop-ins, single visits, or walks. Please ask me about any accommodations you may need and I will see if I can provide them. In your house, I am happy to follow any instructions about leashed or unleashed time on walks or in your backyard, will feed on your schedule, and can spend time with your pet as much as you need. I am happy to try and accommodate any changes you may need to make, give updates with photos, and tell you any behavioral or medical changes as soon as possible.
“Estelle has been great with our puppy! She's been coming over for a few weeks now and is reliable and great at following instructions. She keeps me updated on his walks and sends lots of cute pictures.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats in the house. I have a dog and cat of my own and have used rover to take care of my animals for the past year. I am a teacher looking to spend some time outside taking care of sweet animals. I am currently a teacher in the DPS district looking to stay busy this summer and meet some furry friends. I am free most days during the summer and can pick up some Bookings during the school year. I have used rover for my dog. When I am not home she is created and is inside. My cat is an indoor cat and loves to sleep and hid around the house.

About: I’m the kind of person who always goes above and beyond. I love dogs because they’re always excited to greet new and old friends alike, and they’re the most loving creatures in the world. When it comes to pup-sitting, I always take the extra step. I really connect with them, so you’ll know you and your dog are getting the best service possible. Each and every dog is unique, and deserves to be treated as such! Taking care of dogs comes naturally to me. I have three big dogs of my own now. I grew up with dogs and have always had them in my life. I’m dependable and friendly, and I love getting outdoors with dogs in tow--I usually go hiking two or three times a week. Meeting new furry friends and doing something I love is the perfect combo. My doggos like Jack Carter Dog Park, and we spend lots of time there. I love to run around with them and make sure they're loving every moment of playtime! We also take plenty of long walks...and sneak in playtime whenever and wherever we get a chance. As a conscientious carer, I'll be in regular contact with you to let you know how things are going and get your input regarding any potential concerns. The last thing you want is surprises, so I'm always a step ahead, reading your dog’s body language and energy to keep them safe and happy. I also have experience caring for cats. I have two cats of my own, and love everything about them. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and meeting your furball!

Loryn walked my 9 month puppy while I was doing a MTB race. She sent multiple pics and made sure she had plenty of potty breaks. When I got home she was not nearly as hyper as she usually is coming out of the crate, so it must have been a great walk! Since I was exhausted I was very grateful 🤣

Cassandra took our dog Aspen on multiple walks during our vacation in Dillon. She provided walk summaries and pictures which we appreciated. Our dog can be nervous at times and Cassandra was able to handle that too. We would not hesitate to book Cassandra again if we vacation up this way again.

Our large pup has loved her visits and walks with Eric! He’s been dependable, thoughtful, and incredibly caring throughout the ski season while taking care of our dog. We’ve had a wonderful experience with him and would highly recommend Eric to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog walker.

- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
