“My cat immediately bonded to Amber during our "meet and greet.". Amber did such a great job with him, brushing him, playing with him and giving him the love and attention he needed in my absence. She's a great communicator and sent details of the visit. She's a great choice as a pet sitter, don't hesitate in hiring her!”

“Jana has been great with communication, early meet and greet and most important, she is reliable. I needed someone to give my pup his medicine at very specific times and Jana sent updates at the exact time. My pup warmed up to Jana instantly and it is apparent she is comfortable and has a connection with animals. As long as Jana is offering her dog services I will continue to trust her with my pup and would recommend to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.”

“Eric is seriously incredible. He took the best care of our dogs ? you can tell he genuinely cares about them and makes them as comfortable as possible. He followed eating and going out routines perfectly, as well as leaving super detailed notes and the cutest pictures of our doggos. We highly recommend Eric for any pet needs!”

About: I have had a real passion for taking care of pets, especially dogs and cats, since as long as I can remember! Having one dog and cat at home my entire life has allowed me to learn about what it takes to ensure animals are feeling taken care of as well as loved! I have done tasks from walking, feeding, bathing and some grooming (brushing teeth, brushing hair, etc). I have one part time job during the week and am currently on the hunt for a second job. Due to this my schedule is pretty flexible and I can cater to your availability! I don't have any animals with me in Silverthorne currently, so I able to give all my attention to your animals! I do not have a fenced in yard to play with your animal.

About: I've cared for pets almost my entire life, from helping my friends and family to now raising my own dog, Nougat. I can provide a warm, comfortable environment where your dog is welcome to snuggle on the couch, or I can drop in or take your pup on a fun walk. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but I am available most evenings as well as all day on the weekends. I'm happy to watch your pups or cats any day. I live in a quiet apartment, and my dog Nougat is happy to provide company to both dogs and cats. He is a calm 3 year-old who gets along with everyone. While I don't have a fenced-in yard, I am able to take your dog outside as much as needed for walks and potty breaks. I have also been trusted by multiple friends to drop in to their homes to check on pets.
“Benjamin did a great job with the drop-ins for our two small dogs. He was always on time and our dogs seemed very happy to see him each time he came over to check on them.”

“Sue was great! Awesome updates and let me kitties take their time to come out to get to know her. They seemed very relaxed and well taken care of in all the updates. Will be booking again!”

“Bethany exceeded all our expectations, with our big boy Cooper.Cooper tragically succumbed to a ruptured disc(IVDD) approximately two years ago.His surgery and ten months of therapy was unsuccessful.Cooper remains paralyzed and incontinent of both.Leaving Cooper to be cared by anyone but family is extremely difficult. In addition to Coopers paralysis he is a very big handsome boy weighing 110 pounds.Bethany followed all my directions perfectly.Coopers care was impeccable.Bethany is your go to gal with your special needs pup.Her ability as a pet sitter ,we are able to leave home knowing that Cooper is with a loving caregiver.”

About: *Convenient location* I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and reptiles since I was 11 years old. The majority has been spent with dogs and cats but I love all types of animals. Some of my favorite breeds I’ve looked after are doodles, boxers, and labs! I have a very flexible work from home job as an Executive Assistant where I have plenty of time to play, go for walks, and spend time outside in the yard or at nearby parks and hiking trails. I like to keep animals close to me inside the home so they are monitored. When we are outside, I always like to use a leash and avoid contact with other animals unless you recommend taking your dog to the dog park for social interaction. Part of my yard is fenced in where dogs can play and enjoy time outside off leash. I also have no roommates or pets so my home is a very relaxed and safe environment.
“Tracy took great care of our sweet Chloe. We appreciated her taking the time to come by to meet Chloe beforehand. She was very accommodating and friendly. We loved the real-time updates and photos. We will reach out to Tracy for all future drop ins.”

About: Hi! My name is Bailey, and I’ve been dog sitting for over 15 years. I grew up surrounded by animals and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I truly love what I do and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m reliable, trustworthy, and always make sure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just good company, your dog will be in great hands with me! I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule. Outside of work, I like to stay active and include pet care in my daily routine. When caring for pets in my clients home, I am extremely respectful of their house rules and follow all requirements when it comes to their pet requests.
“Haley did an amazing job! She was early for the drop in visit and sent pics of our crew which made me feel so relaxed about being gone for the day. She is amazing and I highly recommend and appreciate her!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Keystone. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
