“Always such a great caretaker for our animals. They have provided so much help with last minute assistance with our animals. TreDerica is incredibly communicative and has always shared so many pictures with us while we are away. Will happily book multiple times !”

“Dana is wonderful. We have two pups, one who is older. Dana treated both with love and care, and when we returned they were both sad to see him leave. It was a pleasure having Dana care for our pups.”
“Paige was awesome! We highly recommend her for any pet that you may have that needs to have a sitter. She is very kind generous and loving. Our dog continues to look for her in our house after she has been gone. We will be using Paige in the future if she is available when we need a sitter. Thank you Paige”

“Christina was lovely. Did a nice job with my dog Lexi who has never been left before and my cat. She was very responsible. We communicated often, updates and pictures provided. Would highly recommend”

“Alexys did a great job with our kitten and puppy. She kept us updated on how they were doing. Our puppy is skittish around new people and things and she was able to win him over. She was also very professional and our home was as we left it. We will be using her again in a few days after having her here for the past week.”

“Kristen was absolutely amazing caring for my diabetic, blind dog. She went above and beyond to meet every one of her unique needs, and her communication throughout was exceptional. I always felt informed and at ease. I couldn’t have asked for a more attentive, compassionate caregiver. Highly recommend!”

“Amelia has watched our pup twice now for a few days. She always takes great care of our senior pup, communicates well, and treats our house with respect. We love getting pictures and videos of our girl playing and getting time outside! Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and caring dog sitter.”

“Sarah was amazing. She is helpful, kind, and creative. My newly adopted dog is struggling with separation anxiety; knowing I could trust Sarah to keep him engaged and happy while I was out of the house was such a relief.”

“Bill was great with the boys. We can tell that they were very happy from the photos he sent. He took good care of the house. We will be booking him again.”

“Jasmine was INCREDIBLE. She was so attentive and kind, and sent many photos and videos. Mazie looked like she had the time of her life, she definitely misses Jasmine! This is the happiest Mazie has ever been with a pet sitter. 100% Recommend Jasmine and will definitely book her in the future :)”

“Lauren did a great job bonding with and caring for our 2 greyhounds and whippet as well as our home while we were away. She was attentive to our dog’s individual needs and sent cute photos and updates. Would book again!”

“Shannon saved us this weekend taking care of our cat and dog! Due to some unforeseen circumstances we needed Shannon at a moments notice and she so graciously cared for our animals and home all weekend. She was very communicative and both our animals loved her. Pretty sure my dog had the time of her life this past weekend. Would definitely recommend!”

“Nikki is the epitome of professional - my 3 month old puppy absolutely loved her and she maintained all of his training while we were away!! Nikki was incredibly attentive to his schedule and gave us real time updates and pictures. I would rebook with Nikki any time as my first choice.”

“Mochi loves her and appeared very comfortable in the photos while she was petsitting him. She was also really respectful of my apartment and left it really nice. I will definitely book her again!”

“This was the first time we used Rover.com. Marian was great in taking care of our brood. 2 dogs and 3 cats. She sent us daily pics and updates. If felt good having someone we could rely on. She stayed in our home. When we returned, it was like she was never there. She cleaned up and remade the bed in the guest room. I would gladly refer her to anyone. Her demeanor with the dogs was kind and respectful of their feelings. She wound up giving and getting love with lots of cuddles. The cats were a little standoffish but started to come around, but that’s the nature of cats. If you are looking for a pet sitter in the Abington area, definitely seek out Marian.”

“20/10 recommend! Ari gave us constant updates and photos which really put us at ease. He came for a meet and greet at our home before the stay and was very reassuring. Our babies so obviously loved him and our apartment was exactly how we left it. Will definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kennedy House
This was our first sit with Nikki and she was great! When she arrived for our meet and greet, Nala took to her within seconds (literally sitting on her lap) and I could tell she'd be in capable hands. Nikki spent hours with us doing a really thorough intake (notes by hand) on both pet care and home care, a nice lengthy walk in our neighborhood- which felt really nice as not only was this our first sit with her, but we were also going out of the country for two weeks. Nikki sent awesome photos, daily updates and even went out of her way to do so during our time zone difference. Nikki also was incredibly respectful of the fact that I have Celiac's disease and was super careful in our kitchen which really meant a lot! House was just as we left it, if not tidier. And most importantly we could tell Nala had an awesome time and was really well taken care of. We'd love to have Nikki for future visits/drop ins. Thank you so much for your time and care (:

I trust Ally to take care of my baby because she reads his behavior and needs the same way I do. For example, when it’s super hot out she keeps his walks short and utilizes the pool and indoor activities to make sure my dog gets the exercise he needs! She’s naturally an amazing dog sitter!

We found Lauren to be exceptional in every way. She touch based well before our booked dog sitting, asked all the right questions and took loving kind care of our 10 year old dog. She updated us daily and we felt happy when we returned that we had found our new pet sitter. She even helped out with a few house items (plants, mail and pool) for us too!

We always look forward to when Dana stays over! The babies (2 dogs, 1 cat) get all the TLC, play time, snuggles, snacks and relaxation time and we come back to a spotless house and very happy fur babies. Dana is our go-to in-house pet sitter for over a year and we're looking forward to his next visit in a few weeks!

Kacie is wonderful! This is my 2nd booking with her sitting for my dog Ollie in my house, and I couldn’t be more happy with the care she gives both Ollie and my home. Thanks Kacie, for giving me comfort in knowing that Ollie is in such good hands. Would absolutely recommend Kacie.

Kristen is a seriously dreamy A++ Rover sitter. I would love to hire her again! Communication was super smooth and easy. She took excellent care of our dog and was game to take a different dog that I normally care for on her usual walk. Turns out that wasn’t needed but I so appreciate her willingness to help me out in that way. The doggie photos she sent were so good as well. Book her now before her calendar is full.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 5,729 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kennedy House. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kennedy House walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kennedy House maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kennedy House choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
