About: I’ve been doing doggie sitting for approximately a decade and officially on Rover since 2021. Our teens love dogs but at this stage in our life I (mom) is not willing to get us a pet- we have lots of love to give but we want to maintain our flexibility for travel. This is what makes Rover and excellent fit for us! I am a nurse who works until approximately 3p and I alternate hospital/home work environment. Our high school aged kiddos love nothing more than coming home to play and show your doggie lots of love! We exercise every afternoon- we are a triathlete family and love staying active, thus walking and playing outdoors with your pup would be an utter joy for us. We have a single family home with fenced in spacious back yard for your pup to explore. Front yard as well and healthy and active gated community with a park/playground near by which we frequently walk to and play in. We can and will implement any needs for your pet to make him feel right at home. We have old-ish laminate flooring and we certainly dont mind the occasional accidents that come with pets exploring and adjusting to new environments. We can adjust to almost any per routine due to our flexible work schedules. We want this time apart to be as seamless as possible for your pup and his/her family. I do not currently have any pets in our home and thus our attention and care will be fully on your pup. Siblings are always welcomed together of course!

“Azucena (Zu) took such great care of Titi over the weekend! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing Titi was in good hands. She followed all instructions perfectly, kept us updated with pictures and videos, and showed so much love and attention to Titi, especially important since she’s a senior dog. We could tell Titi was comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. Zu went above and beyond, and we truly appreciated her communication and kindness. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring. Thank you so much, Zu! ❤️”

“Communicative and curious. Asks questions when things aren’t clear which I thoroughly appreciated. Puppies were comfortable and well cared for. I felt like I could be at peace while traveling”

“Sam sent a note that she would be early to our place which demonstrated a facet of her exceptional communication skills. She is an excellent listener as my wife and I provided an overview and asked the right questions to get the right answers. Sam bonded extremely sell with Athena, playing on the terrace, taking her out for breaks and relaxing on the couch! Sam will be supporting overnights for us during an upcoming trip. Highly recommend Sam to help take excellent care of your dog!”

“Sharon was a god send! She took such good care of my kitties while I was away. Her maturity and professionalism was easy to sense during our meet and greet, and I felt completely confident leaving my babies in her care. All instructions were followed carefully, and she took initiative to go above and beyond. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I currently have two cats, two dogs, and a parrot, so I truly understand how much love and attention pets need every day. From feeding, walking, and playtime to keeping them comfortable and happy, I enjoy every part of taking care of animals. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a shy cat, I’m patient, gentle, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry (or feathered!) family members, and I always aim to give them the same love and care they get at home. I’ve cared for pets my whole life! I’m free most of the week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday anytime; Tuesday and Thursday after late afternoon (5pm); weekends all day, perfect for walks, visits, or boarding. I love keeping pets happy, healthy, and comfortable, and I treat every animal like family. I have two friendly dogs and a large, fully fenced yard with plenty of space for pets to run and play safely. I can adapt to any routine, provide fresh food and water, and maintain a clean, comfortable space. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize safety, supervision, and creating a calm, loving environment so every pet feels happy, secure, and well cared for.
About: I love animals, so much, in fact, that I try to volunteer in shelters as much as possible as well as try to find homes for stray dogs and bring them to no kill shelters to find love or help stay in a foster home while we find their forever family . There've been several instances where I've helped my boyfriend safely rescue a dog from a dangerous situation and managed to get them to a shelter, or to someone whom we know would love and care for them. Animals are just magical creatures that we are often times are too lucky to have. :-) "Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." I hope you let me help take care of your furry baby I am Only available Mon-Thurs after 5pm, but I am available Friday-Sunday at any time. I love being able to fill my spare time with beautiful moments spent with animals and help people who need it I'm able to follow clear instructions from all pet owners in their houses as to how they wish to have their animals taken care of. At the end of the day I'm taking care of an animal that is not mine and it's best to know how the owner likes certain things done, especially in their own environment.
About: I just moved here from Chicago to start a position at UM! I’ve been an animal, especially dog and cat, person my entire life. Since leaving home, I’ve had to leave my puppies with my family during this transition. I miss them so dearly - I hope to find some families who have pets in need of some help. It will help me fulfill my need and love for animals, and I love to help others too. I worked at a dog kennel for 2+ years previously. Training, feeding, walking, and (my fav) playing with the pups! I feel confident in my ability to take care of any dog - big or small, energetic or sleepy. I have learned the skills to create a safe, trustworthy, and stable environment for you and your pets. I’m currently working full-time and the University of Miami - but my job allows for a lot of flexibility as a lot of my work is online. I’m completely free every afternoon after 5pm and open every weekend, but throughout the day I have the flexibility for potty breaks and walks. I have a lovely dog park right next to my apartment building complex, as well as ample space in my 650sq ft apartment to escape the heat and still play. I could play and pet with dogs/dogs all day . The most important part about your pets experience is their safety, and you, the owner having peace of mind that you will pick them up happy and healthy! Before any visit, I would like to prioritize discussing your dog needs, and your needs to ensure that you know your pets is in good hands.

“Alana was wonderful with our baby Kaya. She sent photos, updates and was quick to answer any questions we had. She was able to give our dog her medicine, and took her for her regular walks. We came home to a spotless home, and a happy dog. We look forward to having Alana come back soon, without hesitation. Thank you Alana!”

About: Hi there! I've been an animal lover since I was very young, and that passion led me to study 3 years of veterinary medicine and complete a veterinary assistant course. I'm currently building my own pet care business, and I'd love to be part of the trusted team of people who look after your furry friend while you're away. I know every pet has their own personality and energy level, so I offer a personalized experience tailored to what each furry companion needs to feel safe, comfortable, and happy in my care. Trust and safety are at the core of everything I do. With my background in veterinary medicine and a veterinary assistant course, I know how to recognize signs of stress or discomfort and respond calmly and responsibly. I'm committed to ongoing learning so I can always provide the best care possible, giving you peace of mind that your furry friend is safe and in good hands.
About: As an RN with over 11 years of experience, I understand the importance of being dependable, attentive, and compassionate. Those same qualities guide the care I provide for every dog and cat. I’m also a devoted dog mom to a senior Min Pin named Canela. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s care. I have firsthand experience caring for dogs with complex medical needs, administering oral and topical medications, monitoring recovery after surgery, and recognizing subtle changes in a dog’s condition or behavior. Whether it’s a neighborhood walk, a drop-in visit for potty breaks, playtime, meals, fresh water, or medication, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and loved. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your companion is well cared for. At this time, I primarily offer dog walking and drop-in visits so I can continue caring for Canela. I also offer limited boarding for one guest dog at a time in a calm home environment. Pet care is already part of my daily routine as a devoted dog mom to my senior Min Pin, Canela. I structure my schedule around caring for her first each day, which allows me to provide dependable dog walking and drop-in visits Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and weekends from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This routine helps me give every pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. During drop-in visits, I’ll follow your pet’s routine, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, walks, medication (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I’ll also make sure your home is respected and secure by following any instructions you provide, such as locking doors, bringing in packages, or adjusting lights if requested. My goal is to keep your pet safe, comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away, giving you peace of mind every step of the way.

Liz is absolutely wonderful! Reliable, kind and truly loving to your fur babies. She sends photos and updates and you will feel truly at ease with her watching your littles at home. I highly recommend booking Liz and will seek her again for our next pet sitting.

I would recommend Maddie to anyone looking for someone who gives their pet lots of attention when you leave them with her. She gave me lots of updates and had great communication. My pup is also a special needs dog and she did really great with tending to his emotional and physical needs. He needs a lot of patience to trust and when I returned to pick him up he was very comfortable with her ❤️❤️❤️

Amanda was amazing once again. She accepted a last-minute weekend request and took such great care of our two dogs. She kept us updated with photos and messages, and since this was her second time staying with them, they were clearly excited to see her again. What made this stay extra special was the personal touch—she left us a handwritten note and even an embroidered patch featuring both dogs. It was such a thoughtful surprise. We truly feel at ease knowing Amanda is with them, and we can’t wait to have her back again. Highly recommend!

I can’t even tell you how lucky we are that we found Selena to watch our sweet dolly dog! She took care of our girl for a week at our apartment and I swear dolly is going through withdrawals from missing her! She was so communicative and dolly clearly had the time of her life! Don’t hesitate booking Selena if you want an amazing caretaker for your pet!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Kendall on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 3,343 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kendall. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kendall walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kendall maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kendall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kendall. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
