She was flexible, reliable and friendly, and even more importantly, she really took the time to connect with Bear. This was my first time leaving Bear since adopting him, and since I work from home, he is not used to spending time alone. After one drop in visit, he began howling after Natalia left; she heard him, went back inside to calm him down, left her sweatshirt for him to cuddle with, and stayed until he settled. “I can’t recommend Katherine enough! She took wonderful care of my one-year-old cat, Koda, while I was away. He was dealing with pink eye in both eyes and needed complicated medication. Katherine not only managed to give him his medicine reliably, but she also went above and beyond: taking him to the vet when he had a bad reaction, communicating closely with the clinic, noticing when he started scratching, and even finding a collar to keep him safe and comfortable. From day one, Koda absolutely adored her which instantly put me at ease (since I am a bit of a nervous pet parent and it was my first time leaving Koda with someone else). He was rolling onto his back, showing his belly, and rubbing against her legs from the moment he met her. That kind of immediate trust says everything honestly. On top of her amazing care for him, I trusted her completely with my home. She house-sat for me as well, and I came back to a clean, lovely space. Katherine is caring, attentive, responsible, and clearly has a special gift with animals. I would 100% hire her again (and honestly plan to every time I am out of town) and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate sitter. Like, honestly. As to experience with dogs, I have brought all three of our family dogs home- my chihuahua Blueberry, my Maltipoo Teddy who I taught how to do obstacle courses such as jump through hoops, run through poles, go through tunnels, ect. And lastly, I got my very own miniature Aussiedoodle puppy this past year named Kova who’s about 11 months old now. I have 4 years of experience dog sitting my family, friends, and people on Nextdoor throughout all 4 years of high school from tiny to large dogs. I can also help teach them tricks! I live in an apartment close to University of Miami campus where I live with a few other girls and we have my puppy & my roomates Pomeranian living with us. I’m looking to pet sit, do walks, and check in’s since I love animals and have a bit more free time this year! I also have a car so I am able to drive to pickup and drop off! I promise I will treat your furry friends like my own with the utmost care & love! I’m currently a Junior at the University of Miami. I walk my dogs for long periods of time since we don't have a yard. I have cameras in my home to monitor everyone. I give the animal their time to be comfortable with me.
About: "I love animals—I really do! I have had dogs my entire adult life. I am very outgoing and friendly, and the messy parts of pet ownership (dirt, smells, etc.) don't bother me at all. I am also very patient and understanding; being a single mother to two teens since they were young has certainly prepared me for anything! I graduated from UW and spent over 20 years in corporate America, but now I am excited to find a new path working with animals. I am always available by phone or text, and I am happy to highly attentive 'helicopter' hoomans, I'm here to help! I'm currently wide open to care for your pup. I am in a career transition and what better way than to hang out with fluffy cute animals? I live in a very dog friendly building. I have a fence courtyard where Ollie (my dog) hands out and we also have a dog park right outside. I also have a crate in my apt that Ollie laughs when I tell him he needs to go in there.
About: I am a cat mother of 3! Allora, who is 9 years old and has asthma, Koda, who is 8 years old and has idiopathic cystitis, and Sonic who is 4 years old and completely healthy. Having owned my cats for almost a decade, I am experienced with embracing different personalities to make sure every pet is as happy and healthy as possible. I am able to administer medication as necessary, and attend to any other needs. Growing up, I was also lucky enough to grow up with 2 Portugese Water Dogs (Medley and Mocha), and a family cat (Musette) as well. I played a large role in training and taking care of them for many years while living with my parents and also assisting neighbors and family friends with their pets whenever I could. I️ hope I️ am able to help support you and your pets, and promise I️ will love and care for them as if they’re my own! I work from home and am my schedule is very flexible. I will work with you to ensure I am available and ready to help you with all of your pets needs! I can certainly say that my pets are my utmost priority, and I extend that feeling to yours as well! About: I have always been a dog owner and I have experience being a dog foster where I have helped many dogs with their previous trauma, such as anxiety and PTSD that was caused by being on the streets and even being mistreated by their previous owners. I offered them love, care and extra attention. I also have experience house training dogs and even getting them to do the simple “sit”, “stay” commands. Overall, I love animals and I am committed to give them the best care possible. I work remotely so I am available for boarding on weekdays and weekends from AM to PM.
