About: I’ve cared for family dogs my whole life and I’m usually the person family and friends call when they need a reliable pet sitter. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m comfortable with dogs of all personalities and also have experience administering medication to my own dog, Milo, so I understand the importance of consistency, routines, and paying close attention to a pet’s needs. With Milo, I handle everything from bathing and daily care to teaching basic tricks and maintaining a structured routine. I truly enjoy building trust with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I give my own. What makes me stand out from other sitters is the amount of time and attention I can dedicate to your pet. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time during the weekdays and available for drop-ins and house sitting, allowing me to provide flexible scheduling, frequent potty breaks, companionship, and attentive care throughout the day. For walks, I focus on making them both fun and mentally stimulating — not just a quick walk around the block. Depending on your dog’s personality and energy level, walks can include sniff breaks, exploring new routes, light training reinforcement, and engaging activities to keep them mentally enriched as well as physically active. My drop-in visits can include: * Potty breaks * Feeding and fresh water * Playtime and exercise * Snuggles and companionship * Basic routine care and attention For house sitting, I provide overnight stays along with attentive daytime care every 0–2 hours depending on your dog’s needs. This includes potty time, walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, medication if needed, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for in their own home environment. Pet care is already a huge part of my daily routine, so caring for animals comes very naturally to me. My own dog, Milo, has a structured schedule that includes walks, playtime, feeding, grooming, training reinforcement, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m very used to planning my routine around a dog’s needs and making sure they feel comfortable, stimulated, and cared for consistently. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time during the weekdays, which allows me to give pets much more attention and companionship than sitters who may be balancing another full-time job. Because of this, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, consistent supervision, and flexible scheduling for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I especially love building routines that help dogs feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I don’t believe pet care should feel rushed or transactional. I genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals and paying attention to their individual personalities and comfort levels. Some dogs want long walks and active play, while others prefer slower walks, cuddles, or calm companionship. I adjust my care to fit each pet specifically. Mental stimulation is also something I prioritize because I know it’s just as important as physical exercise. During walks and visits, I like incorporating sniff time, interactive play, and enrichment activities to help keep dogs mentally engaged and happy. For puppies, I’m patient with routines, potty training consistency, and energy management, and for senior dogs, I understand the importance of slower pacing, medication schedules, comfort, and gentle care. One thing that makes me stand out is the level of attention and presence I provide. I’m not someone who simply stops in for the minimum amount of time and leaves. I truly enjoy bonding with pets and making sure they feel loved and comfortable while their owners are away. I also know how important communication is for pet parents, so I make an effort to send updates, photos, and details about how their pet is doing so they can feel reassured and connected. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, I aim to make pets feel like they’re spending time with someone they know and trust rather than just being “checked on.” I currently do not host pets in my own home, but I’m happy to care for them in the comfort of your home where they feel safest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible while giving them plenty of attention, companionship, and care. For drop-ins, I provide potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, walks if needed, playtime, mental stimulation, and lots of cuddles and attention. For house sitting, I stay overnight with your pet and provide attentive daytime care including potty breaks every 0–2 hours depending on their needs, walks, feeding, medication administration if needed, playtime, and companionship. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and administering medication to my own dog, Milo, so I’m comfortable adjusting care to fit each pet’s personality and needs. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time on weekdays, allowing me to provide flexible scheduling, frequent check-ins, and more quality time with your pet than many sitters are able to offer.
“Amazing family home, Diana and Mike are perfect sitters and the peace of mind they provided with the constant pics and updates truly made my trip that much better. Highly recommend!”

“Pamela was amazing with our girl Keyshia! She was able to play outside and play with other dogs! She was so happy and we could see in the many pictures Pamela sent! We will certainly use Pamela again in the future!”

“Gabby G. Was absolutely the best! She was able to care for my dog at a last minute request. She was very patient with him as it was his first time away from home - but nonetheless, he loved it there with her ! Thank you once again Gabby - you are a life saver 😊”

“Cyndi and her sister Sonnie were terrific dog sitters. This was the first time away from home for my dog Lenny. They looked after him extremely well, gave me frequent updates (texts and photos) and made me feel very comfortable that my dog was in great hands. I highly recommend, and I will use them again!!”

“Jinay is absolutely amazing! She runs a family business that’s truly a home away from home for pets. Jinay and her beautiful family are kind and they really provide a safe, loving space. She’s very understanding and genuinely enjoys Rawyce’s energy and personality just as much as I do. Her communication and updates are consistent, timely, and professional, and she’s always attentive to his needs. She exercises him so well; he’s easygoing but very high energy, and that was never a problem for her. Every time I’d get an update, he looked chunkier, happier, and more at ease than I could have imagined, especially for an anxious puppy. Jinay’s home is truly a retreat for your pet. They couldn’t be safer or happier anywhere else. 10000/10, I’d recommend and support Jinay in all her endeavors!”

“Great experience with Jen from beginning to end! Our pup Blu stayed with her for 6 days and we felt very comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We received updates while away with pics showing our pup comfy cozy in her care. We'll definitely be booking with Jen next time we travel.”

About: I have always had dogs growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more.I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family and friends.I have experience with giving medication to senior dogs. I am available all summer long to give your pet the extra attention he or she needs while you go on vacation or away for the day.I am flexible with my schedule. I enjoy long walks and playtime together! If you decide to board with me, I have a large fenced in backyard with shade to keep them cool. I never leave them alone they are always by my side or being watched in my care. I had a 12 year old Lab/mix senior dog that passed away in 2025 that always received a lot of attention from me and would like to do the same for your pet too. I would be available any day of the week or weekend's to take care of your pets needs. Just let me know! They very happy to be part of our family while being cared for.I like to keep dogs on a routine schedule as well, enjoy some outdoor time in our backyard or with a cup of cold ice cream between there paws. I would take care of your furry friend like he/she is my own. When your away,I would keep you informed on how your pet is doing either in your home or mine and send pictures of your furry friend and let you know how they are doing everyday.
“Thomasina was amazing at caring for our dog Lila! From the moment Lila first entered her home, she was calm and at ease and we knew she'd have a wonderful stay. We got plenty of adorable pictures and updates! Thanks for taking such great care of our girl!”

“Already after the meet and greet I felt beyond comfortable leaving my dog with Lisamarie. Her 2 dogs and my dog got along great, I’m pretty sure my pup hasn’t been bored one minute, since he “crashed” when we picked him up. Thanks again Lisamarie and when needed will definitely ask you again”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay with Christine. We would rebook when we need and recommend to others. She provided daily pictures and provided great communication.”

“My Benji was in great hands! Maria took good care of him and treated him as if he were her own. She provided picture and video updates and she was very responsive. I would certainly book her again and would have no reservations recommending her to anyone who is looking for a sitter.”

“This was Zuzu’s first stay with any boarder, and boy did we get lucky with Catherine! Absolutely incredible experience! Catherine was so helpful in making the stay stress free for me, and fun for Zuzu! I received frequent update texts and photos and video during the week and Zuzu clearly had been enjoying herself - running and playing with other dogs in the large fenced yard, snuggling inside with the other dogs and Catherine too! The ultimate payoff - when Zuzu came home, she was happy to see us, but not stressed or upset - she was our same happy pup as before we went away. So not like it is when she goes anywhere else, like the groomer or something. Highly highly recommend Catherine and will use her services again whenever we have to travel!”

Sandy is amazing!! Provided pictures and updates during our pups week long stay! Our basenji could definitely be a handful which made us weary to leave her with someone we did not know, but after dropping our pooch off and seeing how Sandy was with dogs all our worries went away!

Eliana made my Velcro dog at ease. She was the only dog that night so she got to feel very special. Eliana made us feel very much at ease leaving her there. She sent us so many pictures throughout the evening to make us feel even more at ease. We live out of state but if we visit again, we would definitely let Snickelfritz stay there again.❤️

Freedom was a huge help when we had to book at the last minute due to a family emergency. They were very nice to Cleo and accommodated her food needs and energy level. They also made a very cute portrait of Cleo and gifted her a bandana, which she is still wearing and loving. I highly recommend Freedom to others looking for a sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
