About: For 15 years, I have loved and cared for my animals. I was lucky enough to receive excellent training for my shepherd/husky and incorporate the methods during interactions with other animals as well as my new puppy. I completely understand needing reliable care when away. Patience, exercise and attention work wonders!! I'm currently working remote on Thursdays and am able to fit walks in throughout the day as well as during weekends. A varied schedule is fine!! Ensuring the animal's environment is the same when I leave as when I arrive is necessary to prevent injury or any accident. My yard is completely fenced in and equipped to play and run!

About: I’ve cared for family dogs my whole life and I’m usually the person family and friends call when they need a reliable pet sitter. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m comfortable with dogs of all personalities and also have experience administering medication to my own dog, Milo, so I understand the importance of consistency, routines, and paying close attention to a pet’s needs. With Milo, I handle everything from bathing and daily care to teaching basic tricks and maintaining a structured routine. I truly enjoy building trust with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I give my own. What makes me stand out from other sitters is the amount of time and attention I can dedicate to your pet. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time during the weekdays and available for drop-ins and house sitting, allowing me to provide flexible scheduling, frequent potty breaks, companionship, and attentive care throughout the day. For walks, I focus on making them both fun and mentally stimulating — not just a quick walk around the block. Depending on your dog’s personality and energy level, walks can include sniff breaks, exploring new routes, light training reinforcement, and engaging activities to keep them mentally enriched as well as physically active. My drop-in visits can include: * Potty breaks * Feeding and fresh water * Playtime and exercise * Snuggles and companionship * Basic routine care and attention For house sitting, I provide overnight stays along with attentive daytime care every 0–2 hours depending on your dog’s needs. This includes potty time, walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, medication if needed, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for in their own home environment. Pet care is already a huge part of my daily routine, so caring for animals comes very naturally to me. My own dog, Milo, has a structured schedule that includes walks, playtime, feeding, grooming, training reinforcement, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m very used to planning my routine around a dog’s needs and making sure they feel comfortable, stimulated, and cared for consistently. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time during the weekdays, which allows me to give pets much more attention and companionship than sitters who may be balancing another full-time job. Because of this, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, consistent supervision, and flexible scheduling for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I especially love building routines that help dogs feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I don’t believe pet care should feel rushed or transactional. I genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals and paying attention to their individual personalities and comfort levels. Some dogs want long walks and active play, while others prefer slower walks, cuddles, or calm companionship. I adjust my care to fit each pet specifically. Mental stimulation is also something I prioritize because I know it’s just as important as physical exercise. During walks and visits, I like incorporating sniff time, interactive play, and enrichment activities to help keep dogs mentally engaged and happy. For puppies, I’m patient with routines, potty training consistency, and energy management, and for senior dogs, I understand the importance of slower pacing, medication schedules, comfort, and gentle care. One thing that makes me stand out is the level of attention and presence I provide. I’m not someone who simply stops in for the minimum amount of time and leaves. I truly enjoy bonding with pets and making sure they feel loved and comfortable while their owners are away. I also know how important communication is for pet parents, so I make an effort to send updates, photos, and details about how their pet is doing so they can feel reassured and connected. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, I aim to make pets feel like they’re spending time with someone they know and trust rather than just being “checked on.” I currently do not host pets in my own home, but I’m happy to care for them in the comfort of your home where they feel safest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible while giving them plenty of attention, companionship, and care. For drop-ins, I provide potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, walks if needed, playtime, mental stimulation, and lots of cuddles and attention. For house sitting, I stay overnight with your pet and provide attentive daytime care including potty breaks every 0–2 hours depending on their needs, walks, feeding, medication administration if needed, playtime, and companionship. “Couldn't be more thrilled ...our 1 year old Shih Tzu who is still learning and is an overactive puppy can be a bit much to watch all day; so we were very concerned about leaving her with strangers overnight. However Theresa was fantastic not only did she allow us to bring all Peanut's stuff (pack and play crib/playpen and tons of toys, pillow, blanket, doggy dishes etc.) but she understood the fact that because this was all new to our young dog she especially took pains to know what Peanut's needs were. At first Peanut did not even want to enter the home and shied away from Theresa but Theresa took the time to win over Peanut and by the time we left her she was playing with her toys. Theresa sent us pictures of Peanut playing and having fun. We were especially happy knowing Theresa only takes one dog at a time in her home because our dog is small and young and doesn't know how to socialize with other pets (our vet wouldn't allow this until all her shots were completed) and Peanut is from a home with only adults and no small children we worried that other sitters who take in more than one dog or had their own pet might become a problem. However Theresa's policy of only one dog at a time who also doesn't have her own pet, and doesn't have numerous children which might be a concern for pets unused to active kids. Theresa's dog sitting arrangement was an ideal win win for us and Peanut. She will become our dogs sitter from now on as Peanut loved her and her family and now we can relax whenever we need to go out of town or just need a sitter for a day.
