About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs since I was a kid. I have also worked at a veterinary practice for many years as an assistant. I am currently available weekdays and weekends, early morning to late night. I can help if you need one visit or recurring visits so I am easily able to accommodate your times and needs. I have plenty of space in my home for your pet to be safe and cared for. I also have a large fenced in yard if your pet needs to be taken care of at my home. I make their safety a priority when coming to your home to take care of or walking your pet

“We met Maria and she made us feel very comfortable. We left our dog JoJo with her for five nights for the first time with someone we did not know. She is a very caring person and you can tell she loves dogs. JoJo was a little apprehensive at first, but Maria made her feel comfortable and treated her well. Maria sent us pictures and videos and kept in touch every day .”

“Donna was so great with Gretl. She constantly updated me with pictures and videos and it made me feel at peace knowing my puppy was in good hands. I will certainly use her again.”
“My pup had another great stay with Lisa and Mike! We are repeat boarding clients, and they really are the best sitters we’ve had. Lots of photos and updates-you can tell they truly care about the pets. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you Jennifer for taking such good care of Dolly. She obviously felt safe and content in your home with loving attention by both you and your husband Jim. This was the longest time she has ever been away from us and we felt assured she was in good hands. Looking forward to having you take care of Dolly in the future.”

“"I cannot recommend our pet sitter enough! They provided exceptional care for our puppy while we attended a wedding Our pet “gigi” was happy, Marcela went above and beyond, sending us regular updates and photos to give us peace of mind. Their love and dedication to animals truly shines through in their work. We will definitely be using their services again in the future!"”

“My puppies came home from their overnight stay happy & healthy! Emily is a professional vet tech and obviously a dog lover… so I would definitely recommend Emily as a good overnight caregiver.”

“Shannon did such a great job! We will definitely hire her in the future and feel very comfortable recommending her to friends! Shannon has great communication skills; she asked a lot of questions before meeting our pup and sent us pictures and text during our dogs stay. Our dog came home with none of the stress or anxiety she sometimes develops at the kennel. So glad we found this service and especially Shannon!”

About: For 15 years, I have loved and cared for my animals. I was lucky enough to receive excellent training for my shepherd/husky and incorporate the methods during interactions with other animals as well as my new puppy. I completely understand needing reliable care when away. Patience, exercise and attention work wonders!! I'm currently working remote on Thursdays and am able to fit walks in throughout the day as well as during weekends. A varied schedule is fine!! Ensuring the animal's environment is the same when I leave as when I arrive is necessary to prevent injury or any accident. My yard is completely fenced in and equipped to play and run!
“Gerald did a great job with my senior foster, Pam. She deals with significant anxiety and back-leg pain, so I was nervous about leaving her in a new space with a stranger, but I had nothing to worry about. She settled in quickly and even felt comfortable enough to trick Gerald into getting off the couch so she could steal his spot. Although she’s usually reluctant to be active, she went on several walks with him. Gerald was also great about sending regular photos and updates, and very flexible when I ran late for pickup. Highly recommended for anyone with a senior or high-needs dog.”

“Very kind family who took their time to abide the schedule I had provided for my dog, as well as updated me constantly on his well being. Very kind, extroverted children who love dogs as well. Thank you greatly.”

“This was our first time booking with Brenda, and she did an excellent job of making my pup feel at home and putting my mind at ease. She really treated Gracie as if she was her own, with lots of affection, play, and exercise. She did a great job of communicating with me also, sending updates, pictures, and videos. I would definitely book with Brenda again.”

“Coco had a great first stay with Cindy and her sweet family and dog Pepper. Cindy kept us up-to-date with how the stay was going by sending many photos during Coco’s stay. She was also very accommodating in terms of last-minute changes to the drop off and pick up times.”

“Delmy and her family took wonderful care of my 2 dogs. They were walked every day, played with, and came home clean and happy. We could not be happier with their stay.”

“Daniel did a great job of taking care of our dog Rocky while we were away. I was a little anxious about leaving him but felt much better after our Meet and Greet. He was gentle and patient with my shy guy and it put us at ease. He sent videos of Rocky daily and accommodated our apprehension about having Rocky around other dogs. I definitely recommend Daniel for your pet sitting needs.”

“Denise is the only reason I will travel. I would not leave my little Fur Baby with anybody else. She is so loving and fun, I feel like it's a vacation for my pup too, and know he is having a great time and is loved so much!XoXoXO”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blue Point
Christina was an amazing sitter! I utilized her boarding service for Valentines Day date night and I would definitely book again. Christina communicated with me the whole time, sent lots of photos and videos and most of all my dogs had an amazing time. Her home is clean and many area are gated off, providing the dogs with safety.

Nora was absolutely amazing! Her communication was excellent when it came to booking with her and she was always updating me with pictures of my cat while I was away. This was my first time ever leaving a pet alone for a couple of days with someone I’ve never met and I’m really glad that I found Nora. Highly recommended and I will use her in a heartbeat for the next time I go away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
