About: For 15 years, I have loved and cared for my animals. I was lucky enough to receive excellent training for my shepherd/husky and incorporate the methods during interactions with other animals as well as my new puppy. I completely understand needing reliable care when away. Patience, exercise and attention work wonders!! I'm currently working remote on Thursdays and am able to fit walks in throughout the day as well as during weekends. A varied schedule is fine!! Ensuring the animal's environment is the same when I leave as when I arrive is necessary to prevent injury or any accident. My yard is completely fenced in and equipped to play and run!

“Joanne was such a wonderful person and very professional and Akai loved her!! She was super helpful with his daily shots of insulin and his eye drops. I will always use her in the future for sure and my pup misses her already! Thank you so much for everything!!”

They’re my kids. I have four of them she showed up every day that I asked her too. She took care of the kids so wonderfully. I can’t even begin to tell you it was awesome! I would recommend Madison as a pet sitter to anybody and I can’t wait till my next trip because I will be requesting if she is free for her to watch my kittens again! She took wonderful care of them. She bought in a box for me that was delivered. I didn’t even know it was going to come and she had no problem with that she showed up on time stayed as long as she was supposed to played with the cat. Send me pictures of playing with the cats and cats are your family. That’s really really important! I have no children. They are my children and she watched my children perfectly thank you Madison!”

Once again, Steff provided great care to our two mischiefs while we were on vacation. Communication was great and the cats love their play time. One accident with the cat not finding the litter robot was dealt with right away and we came back to a spotless house and content cats. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oakdale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
