“Katharine took wonderful care of our cat and dog while we were away! She was very attentive to our detailed instructions, particularly with our cat who has a somewhat involved food and medicine routine. She also went above and beyond in ensuring our pets felt well loved while we were gone. Thank you again, Katharine!”

“Sandy was amazing! We had never used Rover before and had a great first experience. She met with us (and our cat) beforehand to discuss our needs. She gave us daily updates and was very responsive. Our cat had a great time with her! Can’t recommend enough.”

“Ericka was wonderful! Our cat got sick during the visit and she kept us updated with such care and concern, even offering to take him to the vet if needed. We appreciate her and will request her again!”

“Jamey visited my newly adopted senior cat three times a day for three days. She fed her, gave her medications, cleaned her litter box and kept her company. It’s so comforting to know that I can enjoy my little vacations while my cat is well cared for back at home.”

“Fantastic care for unusual animals. Amanda was so diligent with the feeding needs of my turtle. She even volunteered a lettuce leaf as a snack. She took great care of the fish without overfeeding and provided medical care for one of them. Then she very kindly agreed to water my plants. Pictures and videos everyday. Lots of communication. I will absolutely use her again and you should too. If she does this well with a turtle, imagine how great you'll be with your cats and dogs.”

“Marianna was incredible! Loki was so well taken care of, and she sent tons of pictures and updates. I will 100% be booking with her again and would recommend her in a heartbeat.”

About: For 15 years, I have loved and cared for my animals. I was lucky enough to receive excellent training for my shepherd/husky and incorporate the methods during interactions with other animals as well as my new puppy. I completely understand needing reliable care when away. Patience, exercise and attention work wonders!! I'm currently working remote on Thursdays and am able to fit walks in throughout the day as well as during weekends. A varied schedule is fine!! Ensuring the animal's environment is the same when I leave as when I arrive is necessary to prevent injury or any accident. My yard is completely fenced in and equipped to play and run!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and other pets since I was little. Pets of my own, family and friends. I’ve always been dependable and so loving of animals. I’m here to give them the little bit of extra love throughout the day while the parents are away. I am available throughout most of the day! I have my own car, no problem there. I can do multiple potty breaks throughout the day if necessary! I provide pets with a happy environment. I do live in an apartments so I don’t usually care for pets in my home but I can if needed.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 5 years old. That includes dogs, cats, lizards, snakes. I love them all. They love me. unfortunately, my apartment complex does not allow Pitbulls sorry I can cover most days and evening needs. I have the needed transportation to meet your needs. I am ready to help you any way I can. I can care for your pets needs in your home or my apartment. I am flexible in doing whatever is required to meet your needs
“Highly recommend!! Samantha was professional, experienced and kind. She took extra loving care of our kitty Layla for an entire week while administering oral medications twice daily. I am forever grateful! Thank you!!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I was a baby! I’ve had at least one pet at all times my whole life, 2 dogs and 1 bird total. I love all sizes and breeds of both dogs and cats, and I promise to treat your babies like they’re my own. I’m currently out of school for the summer so I am available all day every day to hang out with your pups! I love being outside and active myself so I’m super excited to play and walk with your babies! I have a completely fenced in yard with a pool but also plenty of running around room for your pups to play! I have a little shih-tzu also who is so friendly and always looking to make new friends

“Joanne was such a wonderful person and very professional and Akai loved her!! She was super helpful with his daily shots of insulin and his eye drops. I will always use her in the future for sure and my pup misses her already! Thank you so much for everything!!”
“We needed a dog sitter for our two golden retrievers while our daughter was getting married. We chose Jess. Jess listened to all our requirements and assured us that Gracie and Remy would be cared for, played with and would be exhausted that day. She was right. We loved the pictures she sent us of them having a good time. In fact, although I came home early from the wedding, Jess pulled in right after me and the dogs went to her. We will definitely use Jess next time.”

“"Absolutely incredible experience! Hannah was everything we could have hoped for and more. Our 100-pound Newfoundland, Arto, absolutely adored them. They were reliable, professional, and managed Arto’s size and energy with ease. It’s not always easy to find someone who can handle such a large dog, but Hannah made it look effortless. They kept us updated with pictures and notes, and we could tell Arto was happy, well cared for, and having a great time. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Hannah again—highly recommend!"”

“Brandi took care of my three pups for the day recently. She was very thorough and conscientious. My oldest dog had just had surgery so there was extra concern there about trying to keep them from playing too rough. It also involves keeping them I. Separate sleeping areas so that the other two wouldn’t lick his sutures. She handled all of this extra work very well.”

I have a mini poodle who would never hurt a fly, he’s getting old but still a puppy at heart. He is very friendly and will keep your dog company! Once again, Steff provided great care to our two mischiefs while we were on vacation. Communication was great and the cats love their play time. One accident with the cat not finding the litter robot was dealt with right away and we came back to a spotless house and content cats. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
