“Sarah was great with our dogs! She was very patient getting them to warm up to her and took one for an extra long walk to give more time for them to do their business. Highly recommend, would book her again”

About: I got my first pet when I was six years old. Since then, I have been taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and fish for over 15 years. My friends, family, and neighbors rely on me to feed their pets, take them on walks, bathe them and even trim their nails, if needed. I love all pets and enjoy taking care of them as if they were my own. I can fit your schedule anytime with a week’s notice. For walks, mornings are more favorable due to weather conditions. For emergency care, one day advance would be preferred. I have a fenced yard where your dogs can play outside on the grass or they can enjoy indoor play with cool A/C. They’ll have their own room or they can be crated if needed.
“Kyla has been great with our two dogs for walks during the week while we are at work. She is friendly and the dogs love her. She always gives notice if she has to change the schedule and has been understanding when we have a change.”

About: Lover of all animals. 20 years experience with our own dogs and others both HUGE and Small. Recently said goodbye to our old boy (a Large Great Weimar) and looking to spend some time with new doggy friends until we get our next. Extensive history with senior dogs and all of the care that goes along with that (assisted bathroom walks, pill schedules, dog bed changing, pee pads, etc), especially patience and love. Also happy with long walks or hikes for the adventurous tail waggers out there! My husband works from home full time, and I currently am available to give my full attention to our pet friends. So walks and attention at any time are not a problem. We have a large fenced in yard with additional barriers that can be added if needed. Lots of grass and play areas for fetch available. We also live in a gated golf community, with many paths and trails for any length of walks and play.
“The best! Shayna knows how to listen to my instruction & cautions then cares for my Frenchie genuinely-she communicates along the way to keep my worry & anxiety down. I feel so lucky to have her! She is a sweet, kind person & I highly recommend her”

About: Vet assistant in training aspiring to be a vet technician! Here to help keep your mind at ease of who’s taking care of your pets. Since I’m in training right now I’ll be free after 5:20 and that gives me the rest of the evening off. I should be done mid December and from there my schedule should be more open. I can only care for cats in my home, dogs will have to be at owners home. All cats will have to be up to date with their vaccinations as well.
“Sophia saved us last minute (day of) when we were in a pinch and needed care for our dogs. She sent really great report cards and pictures of the dogs and followed our instructions exactly. She was reliable and communicative and we know that our dogs really loved playing with her. Thank you Sophia!!!”

“Fantastic experience with Mara getting our pupster back into the routine of her daily walk! Rarely have I seen our girl so happy about going for her walk; she literally glows her special smile when walking with Mara! Mara also takes the most interesting, artistic photos of our pupster and shares with us.”

About: I have taken care of pets ever since I was 7 years old. I had pet sat dogs and cats; puppies and kittens. I pay attention to your pets body language and cues to make sure they are well and happy. I am a university student currently with lots of free time! I am currently unemployed, focusing on school, so whenever you need it, I am there I have a large fenced yard. I have pets at home that stay separated to keep everyone safe. I check on what your pet usually touches like food bowls, potty pads, etc., and refill and maintain as needed.
About: I can address the unique requirements of large and small breed dogs. I provide specialized care for senior and advanced senior dogs, ensuring their golden years are comfortable and healthy. I work full-time but seasonally at a large local hotel and my hours vary. I have a very flexible schedule and can work around calendar based obstacles. I find that most animals actually like to stay in their own yard, but if need be, I do have decent sized back yard and it is secured by brick walls / concrete barriers.
About: I grew up on a farm in England with working dogs, which gave me a love for animals and led me to a life working professionally with them. After 32 years of running my own pet care business in Los Angeles, I relocated to the Coachella Valley where I continue to walk, exercise, and socialize dogs, while also working as a dog trainer. I'm available Monday thru Friday from 7am until 5pm, so we can work out walks and visits depending on your schedule and your dog's needs. Your dog will always be walked on leash, with the exception of fenced dog parks. Dogs can be crated during transport, if that makes them more comfortable. With my many years of experience, I know exactly how to work with dogs with a focus on the safety, calm, and happiness of the animal.

About: We cater to small dogs only and will not accept dogs that are aggressive or have anxiety problems or problems with other dogs. We love dogs and will accept your dog as part of our family and incorporate them into our daily lives. Your dog will be treated with love and affection. We offer a safe, secure environment and will love your dog just like you do. We have several outside secured areas/patios for dogs, one of which has direct access for potty. You will receive photos of your dog several times daily. We will take your dog with us on our daily errands, shopping, and walks. About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with 10 years of experience caring for family pets. I've grown up with dogs & cats and have always been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family. I love getting to know each dog's unique personality and understand that some pups need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. ❤️ I also have a senior dog with a heart condition (my soul pup), so I'm experienced with medications, special care instructions, and keeping pets on a consistent schedule. 💊⏰ Whether your pet needs a potty break, meal, playtime, medication, or just some companionship, I'll treat them like one of my own. 🐶🐱 I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet with someone new, so I prioritize communication and send detailed updates with photos after every visit! 📸 I work from home full-time, which gives me flexibility to accommodate many scheduling needs throughout the day. I'm typically available before work, during my lunch hour, after work in the evenings, some weekends and holidays. If your pet needs a quick check-in during the day, I can often adjust my schedule to help. I primarily serve pets within a 15–25 minute drive of my area so I can provide reliable and timely care. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Since I provide care in clients' homes, I make every effort to maintain your pet's normal routine and follow your instructions closely. I'm experienced with puppies, senior dogs, feeding schedules, oral medications, and eye/ear medications. I understand how important consistency is, especially for pets with special care needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
