“Sarah was great with our dogs! She was very patient getting them to warm up to her and took one for an extra long walk to give more time for them to do their business. Highly recommend, would book her again”

About: My name is Elle and I have been around many different species of pets since before I can remember. I consider my self to be patient and skilled with being around rescue animals with all different temperaments and behaviors, as my dogs are rescues and I've had experience socializing both dogs and cats in local shelters. I've been walking and pet sitting since July of 2025 and have my own business and clientele now! I'm an aspiring dog daycare owner and am walking/pet sitting fulltime to achieve that goal. I am a full time dog walker and pet sitter, and aspiring dog daycare owner! I have clients that I walk for weekly and would love to accept more :) I can spend as long as needed and take your pet for as many walks or outings as they need. Just let me know what I can do during the stay to accommodate you and your pets needs and consider it done!
About: I’ve always loved animals since childhood, growing up with my parents always rescuing strays. Over the years, I’ve developed strong skills in dog care, focusing on comfort and trust. What sets me apart as a dog sitter is my ability to make pets feel at ease through a comforting touch, a unique scent I wear to ensure they recognize me, and creating a calming environment where they feel safe and cared for. I also always make sure to send pet owners picture updates of their pets to ensure they’re doing okay and to always ask questions if I am unsure about anything. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine! I’m always available because I’m passionate about making pet sitting my full-time career. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just hanging out with pets, I love spending time with them and making sure they’re happy and comfortable. Caring for pets feels natural to me, and I’m excited to make it a regular part of my life! In both my home and my clients’ homes, I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I stick to their usual routines, whether that’s feeding, walks, or playtime, and I provide plenty of attention and affection. I always stay with them every step of the way, showering them with pets and ensuring they’re comfortable with me and their surroundings. I create a calm, stress-free environment, and if needed, I bring familiar items like toys or blankets to help them feel at home. My goal is to make sure they feel completely relaxed, loved and cared for!
About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life, and dogs have always been a central part of my home and my heart. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, so I’m comfortable handling everything from daily routines to those moments when a pup isn’t feeling their best. I take pride in making sure every dog in my care gets plenty of walks, playtime, and the kind of attention that keeps their tail wagging. Whether your dog needs a calm companion or an enthusiastic play session, I’m here for all of it and will treat them like my own. I’m retired and home all day every day, so your dog will always have someone around. I’m around morning, afternoon, and evening love having a pup by my side throughout the day. I live in a condo with access to a fenced yard, so there’s a safe spot outside for fresh air and playtime whenever your pup needs it. I have a dog of my own at home, so your dog will have a buddy to hang out with as well.

“Lucy is great with Josh and Fiddler! She’s super sweet and attentive, follows all of our rules on feeding and water refresh; it was a terrific first visit and will definitely be booking more visits in weeks to come!”
“Marc is excellent. He’s prompt, well prepared and has a great attitude. My active dog had a strong workout and can’t wait for her next walk with him. I highly recommend Marc as a responsible, conscientious and motivated walker.”

About: I am a true animal lover. I grew up in the Midwest on a small farm, so I have been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I have had dogs my whole life and love having them around. My husband and I owned a Boxer mix named Roxie for 9 years. She was like family, however she passed away recently from a 3 year battle with Cushings Disease. We are not yet ready for another, however I miss the companionship with a dog. I am perfectly fit for this job, as I love and appreciate all the time I get with dogs/animals. I am comfortable with all breeds. Your pet will be treated like family, and I look forward to hosting all sorts of dogs!
“Fantastic experience with Mara getting our pupster back into the routine of her daily walk! Rarely have I seen our girl so happy about going for her walk; she literally glows her special smile when walking with Mara! Mara also takes the most interesting, artistic photos of our pupster and shares with us.”

“The best! Shayna knows how to listen to my instruction & cautions then cares for my Frenchie genuinely-she communicates along the way to keep my worry & anxiety down. I feel so lucky to have her! She is a sweet, kind person & I highly recommend her”

About: I grew up on a farm in England with working dogs, which gave me a love for animals and led me to a life working professionally with them. After 32 years of running my own pet care business in Los Angeles, I relocated to the Coachella Valley where I continue to walk, exercise, and socialize dogs, while also working as a dog trainer. I'm available Monday thru Friday from 7am until 5pm, so we can work out walks and visits depending on your schedule and your dog's needs. Your dog will always be walked on leash, with the exception of fenced dog parks. Dogs can be crated during transport, if that makes them more comfortable. With my many years of experience, I know exactly how to work with dogs with a focus on the safety, calm, and happiness of the animal.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for at least 10 years, mostly with having my own. I know they are a big part of our families and how much we love and care for them. I am great with playing and cuddling and walking and absolutely love it. I currently work from home and so I have plenty of time to schedule dog walks, care and dog sits according to what is needed. I have a large green belt, that is very private. It is not fenced, but I have the ability to take the dogs out as much as needed. I also live in a very nice area where I have many trails and beautiful areas to walk.
“Just started to work with Kristina and so far GREAT experience! On time, very respectful of property, my whippet (Fiddler) enjoys his time and is well cared for! Looking forward to many re-bookings!”

About: Vet assistant in training aspiring to be a vet technician! Here to help keep your mind at ease of who’s taking care of your pets. Since I’m in training right now I’ll be free after 5:20 and that gives me the rest of the evening off. I should be done mid December and from there my schedule should be more open. I can only care for cats in my home, dogs will have to be at owners home. All cats will have to be up to date with their vaccinations as well.
“Lea is the best dog walker /pet sitter we have ever found. She is smart, personable, and clearly knows a lot about pets and how to handle them effectively. Belle was so excited to meet her. She asked good questions about Belle, her temperament and health conditions. She immediately engaged with Belle. Belle can’t wait for the next visit. What a find! Book Lea before she is booked solid!”
About: I can address the unique requirements of large and small breed dogs. I provide specialized care for senior and advanced senior dogs, ensuring their golden years are comfortable and healthy. I work full-time but seasonally at a large local hotel and my hours vary. I have a very flexible schedule and can work around calendar based obstacles. Experienced in administrating prescriptions as needed wether it’s in pill form, eye drops or insulin injections I work from home and have a very flexible schedule so I have many hours available to devote to caring for your pet while they are in my home. I live in a condo in a gated community and will provide potty breaks and walks through out their visit and always on a leash.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
