“Ella was a kind and compassionate caregiver, and made us feel confident that our cat Walter was in good hands while we were away on vacation. She provided plenty of quality and detailed updates, along with some great and hilarious pictures of Walter. She also went above and beyond, cleaning up after a few messes Walter had made in the apartment and stopping in during a day that she wasn't even scheduled to, just to spend some additional time with Walter. We really appreciated that! I would not hesitate to hire Ella again in the future.”

“i was a very nervous dog mom and a first time rover user who requested a drop in from allison while we were out of town. she was patient, kind, and prompt for her visit with our two big (and loud) dogs. thank you allison!”

“Marissa was very professional and did a wonderful job caring for my cat Eddie. Eddie is skeptical of strangers and hasn't felt comfortable approaching everyone who's watched him, which means he can be pretty stressed by the time I return. Within the first visit Eddie was comfortable approaching Marissa for treats/scratches, and his stress was very low when I returned!”

“This is my second time using Nicole, and I can’t say enough good things about her taking care of my dog. She is so reliable, and I can tell my dog had the best time. I highly recommend her for pet care!”

“Mildred did drop-in visits for our cantankerous cat, Little Blue. Blue loved Mildred! If Mildred can satisfy Blue, she can satisfy any other cat. We’ll definitely ask Mildred to help us with cat care in the future.”

“Holly fed our two cats twice a day for a few days and was amazing! She spent extra time ensuring they were well loved and sent update pictures each visit. She was easy to communicate with and we highly recommend her!”

“Bailey was kind enough to come on Christmas as a pretty last minute request! Did a drop-in and everything went smoothly! Looking forward to having Bailey help out again.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born. Whether it was the family dog or one of my own, they've always been a part of my world. Numerous friends have asked me to dog sit for them, or even provide kitty playtime when they are out of town. I have experience with senior dogs and animals that require medication or special needs. Every pet is different, and I am committed to making sure they each receive the specific love and care they deserve. I currently work full time as an assistant manager of a local hotel, but will be providing pet care on my days off which are Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as after work which usually ends around 6pm. Safety is a high priority when it comes to our loved ones. When I am around dogs and cats, I am always reading body language and taking my cues from them. I believe in making sure every adventure we go on together is safe and controlled. I am attentive, professional, and flexible if the situation calls for it.

About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets have always been a part of my family, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

“Lou was great! We had a nice meeting to show him around before we left, then he visited our cats and chickens as scheduled while we were gone. I really liked getting text updates after each visit. Will definitely use him again when we travel.”

“Once again Alisha has done an amazing job looking after our two cats! She follows directions to a T and is always super communicative. Our cats seem to love her as well. Will definitely be booking again.”

About: I've had dogs of my own all my life. Currently, I am a owner of two dogs Finnegan and Cammy. In addition to owning my own, I have had experience fostering and volunteering in shelters. Due to personal experience with my own dog Cam, I have plenty of experience administering meds orally. I have had experience with all kinds of breed as well from putty mixes, high energy dogs like Viszlas and huskies to big breeds like Great Danes. I'm a full-time educator, so currently my schedule would be from 5 am-6:30 am and then from 4-any time. I am available for both boarding and occasional stay at your home to take care of your fur babies. I do not have a yard but live in a great area to take your pup on long walks. My dog is fully crate trained and an older guy, so he may spend some time in his crate to make your dog comfortable. I give lots of cuddles, walks, and playtime so your pup will feel nurtured at all times.

“Nico is the best pet sitter you could ever hope for!!! We are so attached to our two cats and leaving them always makes me feel worried. Nico watched them for over a week, and went above and beyond with our kittens, sending us pictures at every visit of them playing and snuggling. We couldn’t be more thankful for the time and care they received :)”

About: I've taken care of dogs as long as I can remember, but have been doing it as a side job since I was about 12. I love all dogs, whether they are big, small, old, or young. I am currently working in the morning and early afternoons, so evening and night (walks, check-ins, etc.) would be ideal for my schedule at the moment! I have a large unfenced yard and a jittery, but friendly pup that would love to get to know yours! I also have access to yards that are fenced in!:)

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs and enjoy figuring out how each dog thinks, why they do what they do, and what they need to be happy! I've boarded single dogs, and I've done overnight stays in-house with 18 dogs at once! I also have experience with all types of medicine administration. Sadly at this time I can only watch female dogs! I have an allergy to the dog allergen Can F 5 which is only found in male dogs. Hope to start allergy shots soon! I'm also a fan of training for those who are trying to train their pups, or don't mind me doing so. Our corgi now knows the following commands: Clean up your toys (she puts them into her toy box), Wipe your paws, Speak, Go to bed, Do yoga (stretch), Spin, Belly (roll over), Snout (put your collar on), Down, Stay, and more! I am completely available for your dog- I work from home as a writer and have very few meetings or obligations throughout the day, which means I get to spend all day with my own Corgi and your dog will be well-cared for! I have a fenced yard, a great neighborhood for twice daily walks, and a very large crate for sleeping if they prefer crate sleeping. We have one spayed 1-year-old dog and one 12 year old male cat who ignores dogs unless he's cuddling with ours.

“I'm delighted to recommend Alex for inclusion in Rover.com. She is an exceptional caregiver whose love for animals shines through in every interaction. Over the years, Alex has provided attentive and compassionate care for cats and dogs, including her own, her housemate's, and those of her friends. Whether the pet is a playful puppy, a shy senior cat, or a high-energy dog, Alex adapts with patience, empathy, and skill. She is comfortable with animals of all temperaments and sizes, from the most outgoing to the most skittish. Alex is committed to the well-being of the animals in her care. She is experienced in administering oral medications, and we all know that can be especially tricky. Whether the pet wants to engage in active play, prefers quiet companionship, or needs space and time to warm up, Alex always puts the pet's needs first.
