About: I truly enjoy the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages and of all types. It’s not just a source of income, but something I enjoy. I frequently dog and house sit for family and friends, and look forward to doing the same for you. I treat your dogs as if they’re my own. I may be available outside my service area for long term contracts, especially with multiple dogs. I currently have open availability to dedicate to taking care of your pups. I am happy to check in on them, take them for walks, make sure they are fed, provide overnight pet sitting (at your home). I had a pup of my own for fourteen years, but don’t have one at the moment. I look forward to the opportunity! I am available to walk, feed, and pet sit at your home. Long walks for exercise, spending time to be sure they are comfortable, whatever is required. I unfortunately do not have boarding at my home as the building I’ve lived in for nearly twenty years is designated a “historical landmark” and pets are prohibited.

Katie is a beautiful soul and my shyest chonky boy warmed up to her in no time. Katie is compassionate and took care of our diabetic 14 yr of girl with a cone and cleaned her and pampered her with such care and love (crying as I write with gratitude). She managed the rambunctious boy without trouble. It’s not just about being fed and cleaned but about that feeling of reassurance that someone there loves them like we do that helped us enjoy our vacation. She provided emotional safety around that and I love her for that. 10/10. Highly recommend! Thank you Katie! 💕

If you need a pet sitter in Stowe, hire Sarah! She watched our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel for a night while we were on vacation, and she was fantastic. Sarah is so warm and friendly. She truly treated our pup like gold, making sure he got his walks and plenty of cuddle time while we were away. It made our night out completely stress-free knowing he was in such loving hands.

Tess is always amazing. She saved us with a last minute booking (on a holiday!) and took amazing care of our elderly special needs cats with lots of medications, and lots of love. We love when we can get Tess to take care of our girls, it’s total peace of mind every time.

About: S A R A H F. ★★★★★ Hey there! I have been living in VT for about 12 years now. I am an active person & love a reason to get out for an adventure. My family has owned dogs my entire life, so 4 legged friends have always been considered a part of the family! I also started watching the neighborhood dogs at a young age which has given me plenty of experience loving dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and ages. I’ve owned or frequently cared for: Labs, Golden Doodles, Terriers, Great Pyrenees, Dachshunds, Pitbulls, Mutts - and many more! 🐶 I am totally fine with other animals in the house - with a small added fee. I have watched homes with cats, birds, bunnies, etc! I am happy to accommodate in any way I can! Feel free to contact me for details about my schedule or with any questions. 🐾 Sarah I currently work full-time on a hybrid schedule, splitting my time between home and local high schools Monday–Friday. My job has me driving around different parts of the county, which actually makes me flexible and available to support families in each area. I’m used to managing a busy schedule responsibly, and I’ll always make sure your pup’s needs are a top priority. I have a spacious yard surrounded by nature, perfect for fresh air and exploring. While my yard is not fenced, I always keep safety first—dogs are supervised at all times and leashed when needed.

About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember, from family dogs to dog sitting for friends in high school, to now owning my own two little creatures. I am knowledgeable and comfortable with high-anxiety dogs and leash-reactive dogs (one of mine is both of these and more!) and am comfortable and confident with all sizes, breeds, and ages. There's nothing better than plugging into a good podcast and taking a nice, long walk with a furry friend. I have experience with all types of dogs, especially bully breed dogs (pit bulls, boxers, etc) and everything from high anxiety dogs to puppies to elder care dogs. I can administer oral medication, and have given humans shots before so with some owner coaching, would definitely be comfortable administering injected medication if needed. I'm currently working part time, so I have lots of time to take your pup on a walk during the day or hang with them while you’re out of town. I live in Burlington, VT, but I'm willing to travel. I am happy to come to your home where your dog is already comfortable and familiar. Having two dogs who have utilized Rover for this reason, I believe it is the best option for some high-anxiety dogs not to be put into an unfamiliar situation when their parents are gone. I am also available for drop in visits and/or neighborhood walks during the weekday! There’s nothing better than plugging in a podcast and taking a long walk with a pup!

About: I have experience working with dogs of all ages, l’m comfortable administering medications—I definitely have a soft spot for dogs with special needs! I have three dogs of my own and always travel with my smallest one, Meera, a 9lb chi mix who is very quiet and well behaved. I work at a doggie daycare four days a week so Friday through Sunday I’d be out of the house for about 8 hours a day. I am the lucky mama of three sweet rescue dogs named Jelly Bean, Frankie, and Meera. They are highly socialized due to the nature of my work and they join me for house sitting and pet care. A typical day includes frequent potty breaks/play sessions outside followed by low-energy training and relaxation, inside or out (weather dependent).

About: I have actively been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, and in doing so I have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and dog of different ages. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. I'm very active and thus great with dogs who are looking to get in shape or have high energy levels. I have experience working with dogs who have been abused or neglected and re-socialising them. My home is large enough for multiple dogs of many sizes to be comfortable in as well as a short walk away from multiple parks. Both mornings as well nights are currently available Monday-Sunday.

About: Please contact for pricing based on location. Rates will increase based on mileage outside of Richmond. Dog lover, Cat Mom. Big, small, stubborn, loud, quiet, shy, young, old, hyper, chill - all animals deserve to be loved. Grew up in suburbs near trails with dogs on and off leash. Flexible schedule. I have a large car to bring 1 or multiple dogs out for adventures. With permission, I may spoil them. Worked as a vet tech assistant for 3 years. Rasied many dogs from puppies and am familiar with positive reinforcement training, crate training, and clicker training. Experienced with dogs that are people and/or dog shy and know how to handle the situation. I do not believe in such a thing as naturally aggressive dogs. Everyone has their own personality and experiences, so do animals. I'm currently working full time 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Friday in Burlington near Redrocks. I can do walks or check-in's before and after work for locations near my home or office. I'm available on the weekends for longer periods. I am happy to come to your home or office. I am available to care for your dog or cat in your home and can stay for extended periods within a 1-hour driving distance of Burlington. I love being active so am happy to take them hiking, running, or out for a gentle walk. I am unable to care for pets at my home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Bolton stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bolton. On Rover:

  • 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
