“Communication with Allison was great and I always knew my dogs were doing well. She took great care of the dogs and my house, and my dogs instantly liked her. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Our boys—our whippet Franky and our elderly cat Stieg—were in excellent hands with Anna for a 2nd time. Anna worked from home, from our home, so they had almost constant companionship. They both have idiosyncratic feeding needs, and Stieg gets a pill morning and night. None of this seems to be a challenge for Anna. And she also took great care of our home, leaving it at least as clean as we left it for her. We are very grateful for her services and care.”

“I am pretty sure my pets were disappointed when it was me walking thru the door at the end of my trip, and not Emily. She exercised them and sent lots of pictures of the fun they were having. She also took great care of my house.”

“It is clear that Georgia loves animals. Our dog was well cared for, the house was spotless on our return, and she kept in touch throughout our trip. Would have back in a heartbeat!!”

“Bindi had a great time hanging out with Marissa!!! They played fetch and Bindi got lots of belly rubs and snuggling!!! Its soooo nice to know your pup is having fun when you have to leave them behind!!!!”

“Abigail was a awesome house/pet sitter looking after my two older rescue pets. I would highly recommend her for entrusting her with your house and pets and will definitely be using her services in the future. Regards- Jarett Tighe”

“My babies are everything to me. We hardly travel without them because we haven’t found anyone yet who can or is willing to care for them in a way that I’m content with. Enter Laura. Laura proves her trustworthiness by her excellent care and communication before booking. She is very competent regarding what I feel to be more complex pup situations. Added bonus, she is active and is able to give my high energy pups a good amount of exercise. My partner and I were able to have a fantastic time away without any worries. I am thrilled with Laura, and hope she is interested in working with us again!”

About: Hi, I'm new to rover but have about 10 years of experience caring for various pets when my friends are out of town. I truly love all dogs and wish I could take in every dog that isn't in a a loving home, and I have been told that I have a very calming presence, even to the ones like yours who are in a loving home. I currently work part time, (about 30 -35 hours a week) and am looking to pet sit while I figure out long term plans and prepare to go back to college in the fall, but I have a fairly flexible schedule if given reasonable advance. Unfortunately my current living situation would likely be too stressful for your pets, (I live with a dog and a cat), but I am willing to either stay in your home or commute, and update you frequently if desired, as I understand the anxieties around leaving your pet with a relative stranger. I'm more than willing to meet ahead of time in order to develop trust and discuss any important details.

“Liz is amazing! My husband and I have never left our dogs with anyone but family so we were a bit nervous but she’s very communicative and treasuring. She also helped with our ducks which was of great help. So happy to have found someone in the neighborhood. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

About: I have grown up with up to four dogs in my home. I have experience watching dogs and cats for neighbors and family friends and love all animals! My classes are winding down so I will have plenty of time to play with your pets! I am happy to take them on walks often and play outside if they enjoy it. On days when I have work I am still able to go let out the pets when needed. I am happy to work with whatever routines you prefer for your pets in your home. I always watch pups whenever I let them out to make sure they are staying safe and out of trouble.

About: I desperately wanted a pet when I was a child so took every opportunity to care for the dogs, cats, and even birds of my neighbors and friends! When I finally got a dog of my own, there was no going back :) I currently have a Newfoundland and an Aussie, and am often caring for the pets of my family and friends as if they are my own. I have experiencing caring for puppies and older dogs, including feeding, walking, bathing, administering a variety of meds and otherwise loving on them. I hope you’ll let me hang out with your fur baby as well! I work remotely a few days a week and have a fairly flexible schedule which permits me to set aside time for dog walks and other pet care. I am an avid runner and hiker if that’s something your pup enjoys as well! We have a big yard and two friendly dogs of our own. The Aussie may want to play but can also entertain himself if you have shy pup, and the Newfie mostly lays about but will occasionally be up for a romp in the yard :) I also make sure to take them on at least 2 good walks per day and they love to have company on these adventures!

About: Being a doggie foster mom has been one of the greatest joys of my life! Most of my foster pups have found their forever homes within 48 hours—either I'm an exceptional matchmaker, or the pooches just enjoy their time with me!? I have experience in both short-term adventures and long-term stays, and I’d be thrilled to provide references. If your pup loves a brisk jog, I have been training for a race and would be delighted to have them as my furry running buddy! If they’re more of a "movie marathon" type, I’ve got the couch and popcorn (for me) ready. My own dog, Geoff, was my heart, and while I’m too much of a traveler in the summer to have another pup right now, I’d love to share all that dog-parenting energy with your pet. One added service I provide: no matter how well-behaved a pup is, I always put an AirTag on them for extra peace of mind. As a former foster mom, I know even the best trained dogs can get spooked or curious, and I never take chances when it comes to pooch's safety. I’m an early bird, so I can be up and out with pooch at sunrise, but that doesn't mean I don't love a nice evening walk as well. Plus, I’m super flexible on housesitting arrangements, whether it’s just a weekend or an extended stay. Here’s to belly rubs, tail wags, and all the joy our four-legged friends bring! I am working towards making animal care (dog/cat sitting and walking my full time job... hence I have a flexible schedule and am available to care for your animals... be it on short notice or for extended periods. As a sincere pet lover with years of experience, you can trust that your four-legged ones will be in safe, capable, and loving hands. As a former innkeeper and park ranger, I bring a commitment to care and responsibility to every dog/kitty-sitting experience. I understand and appreciate how important your animal's routine is and will honor it to keep them feeling secure and happy while you’re away. I believe in the "leave no trace" philosophy, so when you return, the only sign of my visit will be a content, well-cared-for furry friend. Just as I took pride in leaving each space better than I found it in my previous roles, I’ll treat your home with the same respect and attention to detail. You can trust that your doggo/kitty's safety, comfort, and daily routine are my top priorities

“Donna took wonderful care of our sweet but anxious older pup. Hoping to be able to work with Donna again in the future!”

About: I have dog-sat for multiple breeds of dogs over the past few years, including short stop ins for potty breaks and extended house stays. I love walking and playing with dogs, and have experience in administering medications. I work full-time from 7-5 on weekdays with Wednesdays off. I can care for pets mornings and evenings, as well as weekends, and depending on location can provide drop ins. I always discuss with clients how best to care for pets in their homes, including preferred walking routes, whether runs or fenced areas are available in yards, and what additional care each pet needs to be comfortable and happy.

“We are repeat clients of Lou. He always handles our dogs with such care and is a great communicator. He has certainly earned our trust and he is our “go-to” pet sitter.”

About: Hi! I’m Jen. My husband Jose and I share this profile (you’ll see it under his name), but I’m the one you’ll mostly be in touch with! He works full-time, and I’m a student with a flexible schedule—so I get to spend my days caring for your pets. We’re both huge animal lovers, and I’ll treat your fur babies like my own! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and currently have two of my own, so I know just how much love, patience, and care they need. I’ve even successfully trained a service dog, which gave me a deep understanding of obedience, socialization, and building trust. Every dog is unique, and I take the time to get to know their personality, routine, and needs. Whether it’s reinforcing training, keeping up with exercise, or providing a calm space for anxious pups, I make sure they feel safe and loved. I also have experience with behaviors like marking, excessive barking, and separation anxiety, so I’m happy to help dogs who need a little extra attention. Your pup will be treated like family with me—I can’t wait to meet them I have a very flexible schedule, so I can be available when you need me most—whether it’s for daily care, last-minute plans, or extended stays. In my home, they’ll have plenty of attention, a cozy space to relax, and two other dogs to keep them company. We live in a very rural area with lots of outdoor space and trails through the forest, perfect for dogs who love to explore and get fresh air. If I’m caring for them in their home, I stick to their usual schedule and routine to keep things as stress-free as possible. From walks and playtime, I tailor my care to each pet—treating them like family every step of the way!

“We have had Bev take care of our precious dog Clover a few times and all of those times have been uneventful and easy. Bev sends pictures while we are gone and we love that. Thanks Bev!!”

About: I have worked in a veterinary hospital for the past 6 years, and have been pet sitting for the past 2 years. I have two cats of my own and back home I have four dogs and six cats. I have a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to pet care and a passion for taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes. I am a full time pre-veterinary student at University of Vermont, I have limited availability, but am willing to be flexible. Thursdays are the only day on my schedule that are very limited. I take pet care extremely seriously and value a fear free environment for our furry friends. This involves reducing fear and anxiety in a home and outdoor environment by being conscientious of sounds and stressors.
