About: I love pets!! My kids make fun of me because I would likely have a zoo if I had enough time and resources. So, since I can’t love on all them as my own, let me temporarily love on yours while you are away. I currently own 2 Shiba Inus named Murray and Mira, who are extremely friendly with other dogs, and 2 cats who think they are dogs. I am constantly pet sitting for my friends and neighbors. From my girlfriend and her diabetic cat to my buddy with a rambunctious Aussie to the rescue foster who is scared of her own shadow. These are just some examples of my experiences caring for pets. I have a nice, fenced yard in a safe neighborhood and a welcoming home to accommodate pet sitting as needed. Help me fund my own time away and/or building a fund for my next furry family member. ;) I currently work from home and have flexible schedule. I prefer in home boarding during weekdays, but could do in home care if within 10 minutes driving or on weekends. I am open minded to your care needs. I typically walk 3 miles a day, so I’m happy to go on a nice walk with your best friend.
“Colleen had been a diligent, flexible walker who we depend on! She’s kind and descriptive in her messages and has a true soft spot for the animals she works with. We would highly recommend her.”

About: Growing up we had a dog and a cat, then as an adult, I was a hoomin owned by three cats. I've since chosen a hoomin partner who is very allergic to animals, so I get my animal lovies and playtime in with other folks' animals. I excel at being able to bond with animals and meet them where they are (not where I want them to be). I look forward to being a partner with you, in the care, maintenance, and love of your favorite fur-kid(s)!! Additional note: I am insured via Pet Care Insurance for pet care, pet walking, and home services. I am a non-traditional/contract worker with a lot of flexibility. I prefer to work within a ten mile radius of the Mill Run area of Hilliard, but willing to travel to help out with your fur-kids and homes. Fresh air and sunshine is ideal for all creatures, especially our furry friends and I love to explore the out of doors with happy animals and friends. That said, I also love to have some playtime with fur kids to expand their horizons and provide active brain time for them.

About: I've taken care of pets of all kinds for as long as I can remember. I've seen them through all stages of life, from my childhood dog delivering puppies in our basement, training young puppies, to end-of-life care for dogs of family and friends and everything in between. I've cared for dogs, cats, ferrets, lizards, fish, and horses. I can't wait to meet your furry (or scaled) friends! I'm a busy boy mom but I always have time for pets! Whether you need a morning walk, lunch time potty break, or a dinner time check-in, I'm happy to help. I will come to your home and care for your pet where they are most comfortable. We will follow your instructions, get some exercise, and maybe sneak in a few snuggles.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats, parrots, hamsters, fish during all my life. Not only mine, also my friends’ pets. Now I feed squirrels on my backyard (nobody in the house should know about it) I’m available to see my fluffy friends on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - before 6 p.m. and after 9 p.m. , any other day - full-time. I create such atmosphere so that pets can have the time of their life: play hide-and-seek, pat their bellies as much as needed. I don’t give bones to them (if only it’s a toy-bone or kind of snack you bring)!
“If Tonee is available, just go ahead and book her already! She did the best job walking my super energetic dog! I don’t think it could have gone better. She is super responsive, very personable, and is very detail-oriented and remembers everything discussed during the meet and greet on how to take care of your pup. She will also leave amazing rover cards with how the visit went with lots of pictures which is so appreciated. Tonee is fantastic and honestly deserves more than 5 stars!”

“Jamie is so awesome with our pup! She’s always there and available when we need her! Her responses are always very quick, and she always gives a great description with pictures of what happened with our pup while in her care! So happy we found someone like her to help take care of our boy!”
About: I have owned a variety of animals my entire life, such as dogs, cats, and exotics. I am also a Veterinary Assistant so I have medical knowledge. I also went to a career school for Pre-Veterinary and am going to college for Animal sciences on a pre-vet track! I’m currently working part time at a Vet Clinic, so I have plenty of time for your pets! I am free most days during the week with morning/afternoon availability. Some night availability on given days. I am no stranger to caring for pets, or for homes. I am willing to do even the dirtiest of work (yes, even litter boxes), to ensure you and your pet have a clean environment.
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life! I’ve had Oliver (frenchie) since he was a puppy, so I’m used to everything from training to daily routines. He requires allergy medication, which means I’m comfortable giving meds and paying close attention to a dog’s needs. I also frequently care for my family’s three dogs (two Frenchies and an English bulldog), so I’m great at handling multiple pups and making sure each one gets the attention they deserve. I’m currently working 3rd shift, so if you’re needing someone in the morning to let out your furry pet I can! Or if you want someone home all day with your pet, that works perfect for me as well! I can do walks during the days (after a little nap). I would say I’m pretty flexible if told ahead of time! I live in an apartment and do have a dog named Oliver. Oliver pretty much gets along with other dogs! If you’d rather your dog not be around another, I’d be more than willing to stay with your pets! My cousin would love watching my dog. I love meeting new fur babies and would love to help whenever I can with whatever you need!

About: I have been taking care of dogs for a long time. While babysitting when I was 10 I also dog sat for the summer. I also let out my neighbors dog on holidays when they are out of town with family as well as feed on a schedule. I am a current college student who attends the University of Cincinnati and home for the summer and I work part time as a Home Health Aide. Outside of being the Home Health Aide I have plenty of time to assist families who may be unable to provide care amongst vacations and work schedule. I am also eager to walk dogs for a long period of time and take part in some enrichment activities. I can easily crate your dog if needed and am willing to play with any dogs for a long period of time. Providing enrichment filled activities to keep animals entertained. As well as long walks around the neighborhood if comfortable to do so.
About: I grew up with dogs all my life, and currently have two of my own. All of my family and friends say that if they ever need help with an issue on dogs that they know to come to me first. I also know how to work with working breeds well, especially since the two I have are a herder and bird dog! I also know how to perform CPR on dogs. I also am willing to work with any particular routine a dog has since I know that is extremely important for both the owner and the dog. At the moment I'm a full-time student so I'm quite busy during the week but have a few days off from classes. I'm willing to walk however much is needed for a dog's needs, and willing to play with them with enrichment toys or regular if that's what they prefer. I'm willing to crate a dog as well if that's what is normal for the dog. Whatever routine is set up, I will follow as closely as I can!
“Jeff is fantastic. He’s so genuinely kind, reliable, and my dog absolutely loves him (and my dog is picky and scared of many). Highly recommend Jeff!”

About: Being around dogs is something that comes naturally, and making them feel comfortable is always the priority. Time is taken to understand each dog’s personality, whether that means helping a puppy learn or giving a senior dog a slower relaxed walk. Every walk is filled with patience, attention, and a little extra love (and probably a few happy tail wags along the way). The goal is always a safe, fun, and stress free experience for every pup 🐾 I’m in my second year of college and working part time job on weekends, so afternoons on weekdays are when I’m most free. Every pet is cared for based on what they’re used to and what makes them feel most comfortable. In a client’s home, routines are followed closely to keep things familiar like feeding times, walks, or play. At home, pets are in a safe calm environment with lots of attention and care. Whether they’re energetic or more relaxed, they’re always treated with patience and love.
“Jessica was absolutely amazing! She watched our dogs for a week while we were out of town for our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She kept us at ease with great communication throughout the entire stay, sending regular updates and photos. She was extremely accommodating with our schedules and made sure our pups were well taken care of. We came home to two happy dogs, and we will definitely be booking with Jessica again in the future. Highly recommend”

Kyra was a lifesaver helping me walk my two loving but reactive dogs on short notice the last few days while my partner was away. Her communication was great and she was so sweet with my pups- she even brought snacks to help ease their anxiety. Kyra did an awesome job handling the dogs when they reacted to people, dogs, and bunnies. We all felt very comfortable and will absolutely be booking with Kyra again when needed :)

Amber always does a really good job taking care of our girls!! (Harley-dog & Scarlet-cat) Harley had a little potty accident and Amber did an amazing cleaning it up and switching out her bed with another one in her crate. She let us know immediately about what was going on and made sure Harley was safe!!

Claire was so fantastic! We needed her last minute and she made the extra effort to do a quick meet and greet with us and our golden loved her. She was able to give her some much needed love and exercise. I would 100% recommend her and will use her again if the opportunity arises.

- 94% of walkers can help with special care needs

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
