About: I recently said goodbye to my 18-year-old senior pup who was still as active and playful as when he was a puppy, even in his last weeks with us. I was his main caretaker since we adopted him when I was 10-years-old, so I have plenty of experience caring for dogs and prioritize keeping them safe and happy! We also had other dogs growing up, so I am used to caring for multiple dogs, dogs of various ages and sizes, and dogs of all energy levels. Specifically, as my doggo aged, I gained a lot of experience with medicine routines, slower walks, attention to health details, and all other requirements of caring for senior dogs. In college, I would housesit for families with all kinds of pets (including rabbits, geese and chickens!) and this helped me pay part of my school costs. However, I enjoyed caring for other's pets so much, I have continued to do so for years after college! I love getting to know new furry friends and making sure they are happy, exercised, well-fed, and enjoying themselves while their parents are away! I am currently working part-time, and often only for a few hours in the evening, so I have lots of time and flexibility to care for you pup, prioritizing being available for prime walking hours in the sunshine! I am willing to work around my part-time hours to meet your dog's routine needs. I am willing to care for the dogs in your home so they are comfortable in their own spaces and can generally keep their normal routines. I am flexible and willing to follow any instructions about your space that you provide.
“Alexandria is my go-to and most trusted cat sitter! She's communicative and she takes good care of my cat. I appreciate that she takes the time to play with her and get to know her. You won't go wrong with Alexandria!”

About: Hello!! I am an absolute dog lover, I’ve dog-sit for friends and family including feeding, walking, and playing with their animals! Im very attentive to detail and making sure feeding and walking stays consistent with their daily schedule. I have experience with very high energy dogs as I’ve primarily taken care of dogs from the range of 1-3 years old. I’m free all days of the week from early mornings to late evenings. I am also available to do multiple walks throughout the day if needed. While I am not providing care in my own home I would typically clean up, make sure there is nothing that is of danger to the dogs. I also will remove any food or drink off my counters, typically for the larger dogs that may be able to reach them.
“Binta was a wonderful sitter for my Cleo! I appreciate how she took the time to get to know Cleo and wrote meaningful updates. Cleo is a shy, reserved girl but Binta was able to get through to her! I hope to book with Binta again in the future. Thanks for everything, Binta!!”

“Neil C is a very nice person who quite evidently cares deeply about dogs. He was very communicative, punctual and honest. We have a big dog, who can be quite single minded, but Neil took her in his stride. Thank you Neil, for your patience and time.”

“Laudianny was absolutely fantastic! I was so anxious to leave my dogs for a few days but she made the experience seamless. Great communication, super kind and each pic I got the boys looked so happy. Would highly recommend.”

“⸻ Let me just say—after my first two dog sitters, I almost gave up on this app 🙂. But I’m so glad I found Victor. He is incredibly kind and truly cares. My dog absolutely loves him—he wags his tail and gets just as excited to see Victor as he does to see me, which says everything. Victor is also very reliable. He doesn’t just stick to the exact booked time or show up late like others. He often arrives a few minutes early and sometimes stays a little longer, which I really appreciate. It shows how genuine and dedicated he is. I also have a camera at home, since my dog can’t tell me about his day—and it’s clear that Victor treats him with care and attention. That gives me a lot of peace of mind. He will definitely be my to-go dog sitter moving forward!”

About: My experience caring for animals comes mainly from taking care of my own cat, with whom I have learned to truly understand animals’ body language and needs. I am used to paying attention to his nutrition, hydration, hygiene, behavior, energy level, and overall well-being, and I understand that every animal has a different personality and different needs. For example, mine gets stressed around strangers, which is why I understand that you have to be very patient when it comes to cats. There are all kinds: affectionate, little troublemakers, ones who ignore you and then come looking for you when they want to be fed 😂, ones who get angry, and others who are more sensitive, etc. I am very observant and caring; I like to earn their trust while respecting their space and paying attention to any small changes in their behavior. I also have experience with their basic care, such as deworming, proper nutrition, hygiene, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. To me, caring for an animal means treating them with the same love, patience, and responsibility that I would give my own. 🐾❤️ I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time, so pet care can easily fit into my daily routine. I can dedicate enough time to feeding, playing, walking, and giving each pet the attention and care they need. I would care for the pet as if they were my own, carefully following the owner’s instructions and routine. I’d provide fresh food and water, playtime, walks, comfort, and plenty of affection while keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable.
“Steve was so great with my dog! I had a last minute event to go to and didn’t want my dog to be alone all day. I needed someone to come within a few hours and Steve was incredibly quick and responsive. He had no issue coming right away and immediately made my dog feel at ease. He sent photos and updates so I knew everything was ok. Would for sure book him again!”

About: I grew up with dogs in my family, so I'm very comfortable and confident around them — from daily walks to feeding time to just knowing how to read their energy and moods. I'm new to professional dog walking but bring genuine experience and love for dogs to every visit. I'm punctual, communicative, and always send photo updates so you know your pup is happy and well cared for. I'm a Columbia student working part-time, so I have flexible time during the day to give your dog attention and exercise. My classes are in the evenings, so I'm typically free on weekday afternoons before class, plus weekends. I'm not currently offering overnight boarding, but I'm hoping to add that down the line as I gain more experience. Right now I offer walks, so most of our time together will be outdoors in your neighborhood on a secure leash, with regular water breaks and plenty of exercise. If I'm in your home to pick up or drop off your dog, I'll follow any house rules you set — locking up, keeping food and hazards out of reach, and sending photo updates so you always know how things are going.
“This was my first time being away from my kitten for an extended period of time, and Jessica made me feel comfortable knowing my girl was well taken care of. Loved all the photos and updates. Would definitely book again! I’m sure my Jael would love that :) Thanks Jessica!”

“I was nervous leaving my cat alone for an extended period of time but Selina took excellent care of my girl and helped me out with some things around the apartment as well. She is a pet smart person who knows animals. 10/10 would rebook.”

I thoroughly enjoy taking care of dogs on my free time as I work out with my own. There's a big park with a dog run right next to me so your baby will always be taken care of and I also keep an AC in the living room for the hotter days. In addition to that, I have worked with dogs with separation anxiety and am very aware of the struggles dealing with that so I always make sure when I take a Rover booking, that the dog is never alone in the house. “Loretta was wonderful with my cat Finn and really appreciated her making time to meet us before the visits. Looking forward to having her help during the next trip. Matt R”

“Brionna is AMAZING! I have a 2 year old cat that I recently adopted and was nervous as this was the first time I would ever be away from my kitty but Brionna’s calm and kind demeanor quickly put me at ease! She was so communicative leading up to the visit and throughout. Her daily photos and remarks let me know that Tortellini was safe, cared for and comfortable! Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be asking her to take care of Tortellini again :)”

About: For the past 10 years, I have devoted myself entirely to caring for my own cat, who is 16 and has health complications. Having left him with family after moving to the city, I'm delighted to share my love with other pets! My schedule is flexible, so I can accommodate you and your pet's needs! Feel free to contact me with your requirements, and I will do my best to satisfy you! There has never been a time in my life where I haven't come home to a cat waiting for me! However, my experience doesn't stop at my own pets! From watching 2 hyper chihuahuas to a sassy teacup Yorkie. Walking, feeding, and cherishing these animals have become second nature to me! Therefore, your pet will be in responsible and loving hands!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - High Bridge
Alex was wonderful with my cats, one of whom is asthmatic and the other who is super anxious. They warmed up to him right away. He was generous with his time and effort, and with the daily photos, which helps me feel much better about leaving my cats at home while I was away!

This is already strong! I’d just smooth out the repetition of “cat” and tighten it a little: Nicole went above and beyond taking care of my senior cat. He takes three different medications, and she was able to dispense them with no issues. She also sent a ton of pictures, including many of him being cuddly and sweet with her, which made me feel so at ease while I was away. I recommend Nicole 11/10!
