About: I’ve owned and taken care of a diverse group of animals since the age of 12. Dogs, cats, birds, rodents, & reptiles. I am skilled in basic animal behavior and animal first aid. I’ve taken care of animals with strict diets as well as animals that require medical necessities. I am also a NYS certified first responder (EMS) that can provide basic care that is suitable for larger animals. Walking, bathing, feeding, training, medicine administering; I do it all. I am currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur, feathered, reptilian babies. Fridays & Saturdays I work my EMS job so I am typically unavailable during those days but I can provide overnight care when needed. I live in an apartment building so there are no outside influences that can possibly disrupt your pets routine. I adhere to all pet owners preferences, i.e. crate training. I will not double book my care time to insure safety to all pets.
“Shelley was absolutely great! She came in exactly when she said she would and went above and beyond caring for my cat. She took the time to give my cat attention, made sure the food and water bowls were full, and stayed in constant communication with me throughout. I especially appreciated the photo updates—it gave me such peace of mind. I highly recommend Shelley to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“I cannot stress enough how incredible Guinevere is as a catsitter. She will go above and beyond far past expectations to make sure your little ones are properly cared for while you are gone. The proof that she truly loves your animals in how much your animals will love her. (I almost think my cat was partly disappointed it was me and not his bestie when I came home today)”

About: I've always had pets in my life, and caring for them has never felt like a job—it's something I truly love. Whether it's going on walks, giving belly rubs, or just spending quiet time together, I enjoy every moment. I believe animals have a special way of showing love, and it's incredibly rewarding to give that love right back. Your pets will be treated like family, with all the care, attention, and affection they deserve. I Pet care fits naturally into my routine—I love getting outside after work and on weekends, and I’d be happy to bring your pet along for walks or runs. Whether it’s a relaxing stroll or some high-energy playtime, I enjoy spending that time outdoors and making sure your pet gets the fresh air, exercise, and attention they need. I believe caring for pets is about more than just feeding and walking—it's about building a trusting relationship with both the pet and their owner. I take the time to get to know each animal’s personality and needs, always prioritizing their safety, comfort, and well-being. You can count on me to treat your pet like my own, with dependable care and plenty of love every step of the way.
About: I’ve had the joy of being around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with both small and large breeds since I was a little girl. Caring for them is a lifelong passion for me. I love not only spending time with dogs but also training them, learning about their unique personalities, and making sure they feel happy, healthy, and understood. My goal as a sitter is to give each dog the same level of love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is thriving while you’re away. As a freelance artist, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to tailor my day around the needs of the pets I care for. My work in the arts gives me the freedom to be present for regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. Because I can easily adjust my routine, I’m able to give each pet consistent attention and love. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my own home or in a client’s home, safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are in a secure environment that they are free from hazards, with access to fresh water, comfortable resting areas, and plenty of safe play space. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, from feeding routines to exercise schedules, and keep a watchful eye on the pet’s behavior and well-being. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and ensure it’s kept tidy and secure. My goal is to provide both the pet and their owner with peace of mind, knowing they’re in a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment.
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for both cats and dogs since childhood. I have a 4 year old cat of my own who is truly my baby, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ve also been a foster parent, which has given me experience with different personalities, routines, and needs. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or keeping your pet’s schedule just right, I treat every animal like family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m a private school substitute teacher and an actor, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be present and attentive when caring for pets. Because my work often varies day to day, I’m able to adapt to each pet’s needs. Whether that’s regular check-ins, longer visits, or maintaining a consistent routine. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my top priority is always their comfort and emotional well-being. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel secure and relaxed, especially when they’re away from their people. I follow each pet’s routine closely (feeding schedules, litter box or potty habits, playtime, and quiet time) so their day feels familiar and stress-free. I take time to build trust, move at the pet’s pace, and give them the level of attention they’re comfortable with, whether that means active play, gentle companionship, or simply sharing space.
“This was my first Rover experience and I couldn't land on a better person! Not only Angelique explained throughly everything to me but also made sure I am well aware of what's going on with my cat! She kept me updated and most importantly my Buba was happy and had good care. Definitely recommend Angelique and will use her assistance in the future”

About: Hey! My name is Nikki, I am new to rover but I have been dog walking for a few years now. I started my business on the UES/East Harlem but now that I have moved into the neighborhood I am hoping to meet more furry friends and families through here. My schedule is flexible so it allows me to work around your schedule. If something comes up last minute, short notice work trips, or maybe you just need some time for yourself. I completely understand, I got you covered ! Please feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions I allow them to roam as if they were at their own home, I want them to feel comfortable in the space that they are going to be staying at for a few nights or even for the day.I provide updates and pictures while you’re away so that you can feel at ease.
“Isabella was great! Very communicative and reliable. She came a few days before we left to pick up the keys and meet the cats. She also gave one of our cats his pill daily. We will definitely hope to book her again!”

“Great pet sitter. My cat was always very happy to see him. He was great with communication and willing to go above and beyond to make sure he was well taken care of. Will definitely use again when needed.”

About: 2026 Update: Dear pet parents! I’m a full-time dog trainer (please take a look at my Trainer Profile on Rover for more info!). After the loss of my own baby boy, I’m not ready to adopt a pup just yet, and I’m here on Rover to provide loving, attentive care for your fur baby while you’re away. For boarding in my apartment, I’m looking to build a long-lasting relationship with your pup and create a safe and nurturing environment for their staycation. I provide exclusive, individualized one-on-one care, and I’m happy to incorporate training upon request. I’m only interested in working with responsible pet parents who support positive reinforcement–based training. Thank you, and Happy New Year! ___ Hello, 🐾 I’m Shar! — a movement educator, yoga instructor, running coach, certified dog trainer, and above all, a lifelong animal lover. With over 17 years of experience as a dedicated pet caregiver, I’m here to offer your beloved companion the highest level of care, whether it's daily walks, playtime, or just some cozy cuddle time. Your pet will be treated like family — with love, patience, and compassion. I joined Rover as a way to navigate the grief of losing my best friend of 14 years — my sweet boy, Bear. While I’m not ready to adopt again, I deeply miss the companionship of animals. Becoming a pet sitter through Rover has added a new layer of joy and healing to my life. While I’ve been pet sitting on and off for years, this more consistent connection with animals inspired me to take things further and become a full-time dog trainer. I’ve always connected with animals more easily than with people. I have extensive experience with both dogs and cats, including administering medication and working with reactive or senior pets who need a little extra TLC. I’m comfortable with unique pet personalities and always tailor my care to their individual needs. As an avid outdoors enthusiast, your pet will enjoy plenty of fresh air, happy walks, and exciting sniffing adventures. I provide one-on-one, individualized care — never walking or caring for multiple pets at once unless pre-approved by you. You'll receive daily photo and video updates, and I'm always happy to hop on a FaceTime call if you’d like to check in and see your fur baby while you're away. Please note: I’m selective when it comes to boarding pets in my home. I’m looking to connect with responsible, respectful pet parents who truly value their animal’s well-being. While your pet is with me, they’ll be treated as part of the family — with full access to cozy furniture, plenty of snuggles, and a calm, loving environment. If your pet isn't allowed on furniture, I’m likely not the right sitter for you. I also do not accept pets wearing prong collars or other training/control devices designed to cause pain, as my care philosophy is rooted in compassion and positive reinforcement. For any boarding requests longer than two nights, I require an overnight trial first — just to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable in my space, and to make sure we’re the right fit for each other. I am self-employed and work from home in the wellness and fitness industry, which gives me the flexibility to adapt to both your and your pet's needs. My schedule is flexible and can easily be adjusted to ensure your pet receives the best care possible, including frequent walks, human companionship, and plenty of attention. FYI: At the moment, I’m not accepting regular dog-walking clients, but I’m happy to take your fur baby out occasionally! I offer exclusive, individualized walks and/or hikes tailored to your dog’s needs. I’m experienced with reactive dogs. Some pet parents ask me to take their more energetic dogs on 2-3 hour hikes in the woods. I call it a "Doggie Spa Day in the Forest," and the pups absolutely love it! I have easy access to several spacious parks and scenic tree-lined areas right outside my door, perfect for adventurous walks or playtime. I also have a car.
About: I love all kinds of animals, and I've found that spending time with them boosts my mood and theirs. I grew up with two small dogs, and most of my extended family members have had dogs as well. My friends and I joke that when I go to their houses I spend more time with their pets than I do with them! I'm happy to play with your pets if they want to play, or just sit with them and pet them and give them all the love they could ever need. I understand that it can be scary to leave your pet in the care of a person you may not know well, because they truly do become a family member, but I promise to do everything in my power to provide a comfortable and safe experience for both you and your pet. I’m currently working from home, so I am happy to walk your pets between meetings, or to come work at your place during the day so I can keep your pets company/they can keep ME company! I am an attentive caretaker for all animals, and will follow any instructions left for me very carefully. I don’t just do the bare minimum— I spend quality time with pets and make sure they feel safe and loved.
“Lili took care of our cat, Mishmish, while we were on vacation. She followed instructions to the T, and our elderly cat, who is usually pretty lethargic and not overly friendly, warmed up to her. We came back to clean litter box, swept floors, and our cat having fresh water and food. We will absolutely work with Lili again when we travel for extended period of time, and highly recommend her to any pet owner.”

About: Hi! I’m [Your Name], a passionate dog lover and dedicated pet care professional. With years of hands-on experience walking and caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I treat every pup like they’re my own. Whether it’s a quick potty break, a long adventure walk, or just some extra love and attention, I’m here to make sure your furry friend is happy, healthy, and safe. Reliability, communication, and genuine care are at the heart of everything I do. Let me give your dog the love and exercise they deserve — tails will wag, I promise! On an average I run 4-6 miles daily. As a digital artist who works from home I tend to find myself with a lot of energy left and lots of times I would rather spend with animals and being active at that. As a husky owner and a dog that needs lots of attention and walks, my dog is my best friend. He runs with me a lot, and I care for my dog as well as my other pets very attentive, extremely nurturing (it’s a habit), and with so much play time.
About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and have experience providing dog walking, pet sitting, and boarding for both dogs and cats. I specialize in senior pet care, anxious animals, special-needs pets, and animals with past trauma who require patient, gentle handling. I offer professional dog walking services that combine exercise, exploration, and care. My understanding of canine behavior ensures each dog enjoys a walk that’s both stimulating and comforting. Walking dogs is a passion of mine, and I take pride in keeping them active, happy, and well-behaved during every outing. My experience allows me to adapt to different breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. My services include dog walking, house sitting, in-home pet sitting, boarding in my home, and extended stays. I am comfortable administering oral and topical medications as directed, monitoring eating and drinking habits, assisting with vet visits, and providing calm, comfort-focused care for pets experiencing pain, anxiety, or age-related challenges. I build trusting relationships with pets by following established routines, paying close attention to behavior and body language, and adapting care to each animal’s needs. I value clear, consistent communication with pet parents and always provide thoughtful updates to ensure peace of mind while they’re away. Working with Rover allows me to continue doing what I love most, caring for animals and supporting pet parents. I currently work part time and from home, which allows me ample time and flexibility to give pets focused, attentive care. I live directly across the street from a large park (1 minute walk) and I am a 10 minute walk from a park with hiking trails for extended walks and exercise. This makes it easy to provide calm, consistent walks and outdoor time when appropriate. I am available for walks and visits in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I am also available for pet sitting, boarding and extended stays when needed. Holiday and last-minute bookings are accepted based on availability. I recommend reaching out as early as possible for holidays to ensure availability, but I’m happy to accommodate short-notice requests whenever possible. I live in a clean and quiet apartment with easy access to a nearby park and dog park. I do not have other pets or children, which allows me to provide a calm, predictable environment without added distractions or unpredictability. My home is designed to be a peaceful “home away from home,” especially well-suited for senior, anxious, or special-needs pets. When caring for pets in my home, I follow each pet’s established routines, including feeding schedules, walks and any needed medication. I prioritize safety, comfort, and close supervision. In my home, I ensure pets have ample time for rest, play, and attention based on their individual needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely. I focus on maintaining familiar routines, keeping the environment clean and secure, and offering clear updates to pet parents.
“Nicole is reliable, considerate and a great communicator. We have worked with her a few times now and we don’t have to worry about our cats because we know she’ll take such good care of them!”

Spuyten Duyvil pet parents share their Rover experiences
My cats felt comfortable the moment they met Gwinevere, which immediately put me at ease. It was clear she is very experienced with cats and understood how to follow their care plan perfectly. She kept me consistently updated throughout their stay and went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and happy. When my flight was cancelled multiple times, she kindly took care of them for additional days until we were able to return home safely. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

I found Jessica's profile to be warm and engaging with her "clients" so I decided to reach out as I needed last minute childcare for my furbabies. She reached out to me immediately and we were able to connect and do a visit. Im a worry wort as this would be the first time I was doing drop-ins vs. Overnight care. Jessica assured me that my babies were in great hands. She took excellent care of my furchildren. She kept me updated, took photos, and provided information on why one of my cat's was behaving aggressively (i found him abandoned in a small crate in my building two weeks before I had to leave town. Hence why I needed someone). He's soon to be snip snipped. She also played with them too which was awesome because they love that. She was a trooper and cared for my babies for 15 days. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again for her services.

Marin is beyond words amazing with our pup! We are so grateful to her for her genuine compassion, care and attention to detail. We feel so safe with her in our home. She is incredibly accommodating, has an expert level of understanding of animals’ needs, behaviors and communication style. It’s been only a short time working with Marin and our entire family and our pup is obsessed with her! Thank you Marin for not just what you do, but also who you are.

Brianna has watched my kitties a few times now and I have nothing but positive things to say! My picky queen is always excited to see Brianna and even my avoidant, mildly feral boy started to approach her. Brianna keeps in constant communication about my kitties and takes excellent care of them!
Emmanuel is awesome. The buzzer at my building was broken so he stood there until someone let him in- every day during the holidays- while he had five or six other dogs to watch. Above and beyond, and my animals were fed, clean and happy when I got home. I won’t go to anybody else from here on out
