About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, though many of my fosters have been puppy mill survivors who needed extra patience, understanding, and support as they adjusted to life in a home. I've fostered with several wonderful rescue organizations, including Underdog Rescue, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, Minneapolis Animal Control, and Coco's Heart. Through fostering, I've gained experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs. I've also fostered blind and deaf dogs. I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops and topicals. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I live in a first-floor duplex in South Minneapolis with a fully fenced yard. I share my home with two friendly dogs: a senior blind Boston Terrier and a playful 3-year-old who loves having the right playmate. Because we've welcomed so many foster dogs into our home over the years, both of my dogs are comfortable meeting new canine friends and are adaptable to different personalities and energy levels. My younger dog is a swimmer, so during the summer we love visiting the dog park at Minnehaha Falls. If your dog enjoys adventures, has reliable recall, and you'd be comfortable with it, I'd be happy to bring them along! I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, and I'm flexible when it comes to crating, sleeping arrangements, and daily routines. If your dog normally sleeps in bed with their people, they're welcome to sleep with me too. While I do take my dogs on walks several times a week, daily walks are not part of our regular routine. If your dog requires daily walks, please let me know at the time of booking so we can discuss their needs and make sure we're a good fit. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and having a great time. A few things to know before booking: • While I am home most of the time, there are occasional events or commitments that may keep me away for 4+ hours. I will do my best to communicate this ahead of time, but please let me know if your dog cannot be left alone for that length of time so I can confirm my schedule before accepting a booking. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. About: As a community oriented dog-lover, I strive to provide excellent service to both you and your furry friends! I have taken care of dogs or all kinds since I was young from Duck Tolling Retrievers, Cavaliers, Terriers, and plenty of our rescue mixes. I am an avid walker and love taking dogs out on their own personalized strolls. I have raised several puppies into confident dogs, been patient with the shy and the elderly, and am ready to play with rough housers. I am in a unique situation of flexible working hours to be available for your pets and you. Need sitting for a small mammal or reptile? Reach out! I have experience in all sorts of small friends! I am a full time real estate agent which means my hours are flexible. Most of my work is done right from home and my days are neatly scheduled to make sure when I need to be out of the house, I will be able to return within a few hours. My schedule will only be open so long as I have the time to care for your pet in my home without too many hours away. If you are boarding your dog, rest assured, they will be comfortable and safe with me. I live in a secure condominium that has been pet-proofed since day one with a live-in Cavalier who is gentle as a lamb. Dogs will never be taken out without a leash and will never interact with anything outside of the home without my supervision. With my schedule, they will be taken out many times throughout the day and can be kept on any feeding schedule you require.

About: I’ve had different breeds of both cats and dogs throughout my entire childhood so I understand the responsibilities needed to properly take care of a variety of pets. My parents have also been on Rover for a couple of years and I alway love helping them out! This also means I understand the apps processes and how to navigate it. I’m a college student at Macalester college, so right now I’m on summer break. I am flexible with owners schedules and willing to driving all around the metro for visits or at home stays! I can do whatever the owner feels is necessary for their pet. Whether it’s putting pets into crates, or active play, or if meals need to be more hands on, I feel comfortable caring for them in pretty much any situation. I don’t have much experience caring for dogs with special needs, so some animals who need that type of assistance might be out of the realm of care I can provide.

About: I've had 22 years of experience living with and loving black labs in south Minneapolis. I can accommodate dogs of any age. I love to be outdoors and enjoy walking. My work week is full; however, I am fully available on the weekends to dote on your pup. I am a teacher. From mid-August to mid-June my weeks are full. My weekends are open. I'm available over holidays. I am also available throughout the summer. I have a small home with a fenced-in yard and a park within blocks. For the past twelve years, I had a dog, and we walked every day. I greatly miss my companion and would love to shower your dog with lots of love and care.

About: (Rover requires legal names, but please call me Rowan!) I’ve been around dogs constantly since birth. There have only been a few years of my life without any dogs in the house! I work at a dog daycare full time over the summer, so I'm accustomed to both puppies and seniors of all sizes. Over the summers I work full time at Dog Days in St. Paul, and I’m a student at St. Olaf over the school year. My work schedule isn’t the most predictable, but I’m generally available mornings and evenings after 6:30. Dogs are basically furry children. They can’t communicate directly, so they resort to barking, growling, or even biting. I’m experienced in figuring out why a dog is acting out and calming them down before things get out of hand. What looks like “being annoying” is usually boredom, need for water, or anxiety!

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life, from Great Danes to labs to French bulldogs. Seeing and spending time with dogs genuinely makes me a happier person. I do currently have my own fur baby (Molly, 8yrs old, Lab-Chihuahua mix, she basically looks like a 40lb black lab with brindling and the attitude of a chihuahua). Choosing me as your dog walker will ensure that your dog is taken care of while you are away. About: I have always had dogs in my life and became the extended family pet-sitter in my early teen years. My care ranges from puppies to senior dogs. I am not a certified trainer but I follow any rules, skills or tricks your dog has developed or is working on. I have had 8 dogs in my lifetime. My oldest dog lived to be 15.5 years old. I've cared for dogs with medical needs - kidney disease, seizures, hip dysplasia, depression and anxiety. I have administered medication in all forms. I work remotely from home on a flexible schedule. My availability is not restricted. I am available at all times during the day and night for bathroom breaks, walks or any other care that is needed. At my home, I have a 6-foot privacy fence. Your dog will be safe in my space. Besides being able to roam in the backyard, I enjoy any type of walk - snifari, gentle stroll, get the heart rate going or a pee and poo mission. Rain, snow or full sun - I am willing to get moving. Furniture is available for lounging plus multiple dog beds throughout the house. A dog-bed right next to my desk at home, absolutely! If your dog is crate trained, I have a quiet space for set up. In your home, I will abide my your rules and schedule. In my home, I have two cats. Your dog must get along with cats.

I love animals, and as a pet owner myself, I do my best to communicate with owners so i can give them the peace of mind that their pets and home are well cared for while they’re away. My flexible schedule allows me to cater to almost every request, making it even easier to ensure that your pets are getting the care you prefer and they deserve. Booking a house sitting with me means I will be at your home with your pet the entire time, unless otherwise specified/requested by you. Since I don’t board in my home, there’s no need to worry about the safety level of a new environment. Any instructions will be carefully followed, and your fur baby will be safe and comfy in their home environment.
