About: I have experience caring for dogs (large and small) and have cats of my own. I also have experience caring for rodents, fish, and plants. I love animals, and as a pet owner myself, I do my best to communicate with owners so i can give them the peace of mind that their pets and home are well cared for while they’re away. My flexible schedule allows me to cater to almost every request, making it even easier to ensure that your pets are getting the care you prefer and they deserve. Booking a house sitting with me means I will be at your home with your pet the entire time, unless otherwise specified/requested by you. Since I don’t board in my home, there’s no need to worry about the safety level of a new environment. Any instructions will be carefully followed, and your fur baby will be safe and comfy in their home environment.
About: As a community oriented dog-lover, I strive to provide excellent service to both you and your furry friends! I have taken care of dogs or all kinds since I was young from Duck Tolling Retrievers, Cavaliers, Terriers, and plenty of our rescue mixes. I am an avid walker and love taking dogs out on their own personalized strolls. I have raised several puppies into confident dogs, been patient with the shy and the elderly, and am ready to play with rough housers. I am in a unique situation of flexible working hours to be available for your pets and you. Need sitting for a small mammal or reptile? Reach out! I have experience in all sorts of small friends! I am a full time real estate agent which means my hours are flexible. Most of my work is done right from home and my days are neatly scheduled to make sure when I need to be out of the house, I will be able to return within a few hours. My schedule will only be open so long as I have the time to care for your pet in my home without too many hours away. If you are boarding your dog, rest assured, they will be comfortable and safe with me. I live in a secure condominium that has been pet-proofed since day one with a live-in Cavalier who is gentle as a lamb. Dogs will never be taken out without a leash and will never interact with anything outside of the home without my supervision. With my schedule, they will be taken out many times throughout the day and can be kept on any feeding schedule you require.
“Lisa is awesome! Communicates so well and we felt so confident while we were gone that our dogs were well-cared for the whole time. She navigated our other instructions so well too. Our one dog is a recently adopted rescue, yet loved her and she understood him and was cool with him, we are so relieved, impressed and thankful!”

About: While I do not have a dog of my own, I love caring for and playing with my friend’s dogs and love learning their unique personalities. I’m currently unemployed and have an abundance of time on my hands to go for walks or play or stop in for a potty break. I have a fenced in back yard and two cats. I do not have access to a crate so if that is necessary, it would need to be provided.

“Madisen has been so wonderful with my dogs! I trust her completely to take great care of them. She keeps me updated and sends lots of adorable photos too. I’d recommend her to anyone!”

“Jackson was so great with Luna! He took her on a long walk and was great at communicating with us and including pictures. We’ll definitely book him again.”

About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, though many of my fosters have been puppy mill survivors who needed extra patience, understanding, and support as they adjusted to life in a home. I've fostered with several wonderful rescue organizations, including Underdog Rescue, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, Minneapolis Animal Control, and Coco's Heart. Through fostering, I've gained experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs. I've also fostered blind and deaf dogs. I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops and topicals. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I live in a first-floor duplex in South Minneapolis with a fully fenced yard. I share my home with two friendly dogs: a senior blind Boston Terrier and a playful 3-year-old who loves having the right playmate. Because we've welcomed so many foster dogs into our home over the years, both of my dogs are comfortable meeting new canine friends and are adaptable to different personalities and energy levels. My younger dog is a swimmer, so during the summer we love visiting the dog park at Minnehaha Falls. If your dog enjoys adventures, has reliable recall, and you'd be comfortable with it, I'd be happy to bring them along! I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, and I'm flexible when it comes to crating, sleeping arrangements, and daily routines. If your dog normally sleeps in bed with their people, they're welcome to sleep with me too. While I do take my dogs on walks several times a week, daily walks are not part of our regular routine. If your dog requires daily walks, please let me know at the time of booking so we can discuss their needs and make sure we're a good fit. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and having a great time. A few things to know before booking: • While I am home most of the time, there are occasional events or commitments that may keep me away for 4+ hours. I will do my best to communicate this ahead of time, but please let me know if your dog cannot be left alone for that length of time so I can confirm my schedule before accepting a booking. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. About: I grew up with dogs and cats so I am versatile, bringing the silly to the park or the calm to the rest time. Would love to get to know you and your furry family members! I'm currently at home with my baby so I'm fairly flexible with my schedule. As long as I'm not nursing, I can pop over to give your fur babies some love! Before I meet your little buds, I want to have a thorough conversation with you about your expectations, pet, and home. If possible, I'd like to stop by while you're home to be introduced to your pet and get a tour. Communication is key and I want you to trust that your pet is getting the best care!
About: I’ve had different breeds of both cats and dogs throughout my entire childhood so I understand the responsibilities needed to properly take care of a variety of pets. My parents have also been on Rover for a couple of years and I alway love helping them out! This also means I understand the apps processes and how to navigate it. I’m a college student at Macalester college, so right now I’m on summer break. I am flexible with owners schedules and willing to driving all around the metro for visits or at home stays! I can do whatever the owner feels is necessary for their pet. Whether it’s putting pets into crates, or active play, or if meals need to be more hands on, I feel comfortable caring for them in pretty much any situation. I don’t have much experience caring for dogs with special needs, so some animals who need that type of assistance might be out of the realm of care I can provide.
“Molly was such a joy to work with and went above and beyond to give our dog a much needed break and extra attention in the middle of the day. We will use her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I’m an Animal Science graduate and I train service dogs with Can Do Canines, so I have a lot of experience working with dogs in different environments and understanding their behavior and needs. I’ve worked with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m very attentive to body language and routines, and I always try to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I also grew up with dogs and have hands-on experience raising and training my own family pets—including a feisty dachshund puppy who I helped train into a gentle, well-behaved dog, along with two other dogs with strong obedience and great temperaments. My background means I naturally reinforce good habits, use positive reinforcement, and keep things consistent with what your pet already knows. I truly love spending time with animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra attention and cuddles. After graduating from UMN, I’ll be working part-time at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville (around 20 hours per week). My schedule varies slightly week to week, but this also gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care. Outside of my shifts, I have a wide availability and love filling my time caring for pets. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can often accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended stays. I currently provide care in clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable in their own environment and routine. I always take the time to learn your pet’s schedule, preferences, and any specific instructions so I can keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. Safety is my top priority. I’m very attentive to surroundings on walks and in the home, and always monitor pets closely. With my background training service dogs, I’m confident handling a variety of behaviors and situations calmly and responsibly. I also have experience administering medications, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions when needed. I respect your home as if it were my own, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and communicate as much as you’d like so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
About: I've taken care of cats for most of my life and volunteered at an animal shelter for a few years. I've taken care of two cats up into their old ages of 16 years and 19 years old each, both living healthy, happy, comfortable lives indoors. They were shorthaired cats, named Morris and Edward. Morris was a wild rez cat, he was very silly, small, buff black cat who grew just a little bit fat in his old age, and since he was young he's had a slightly shorter, stubbed tip tail and a frostbitten ear. Edward was a rescued wild barncat from the farmlands outside of Wrenshall, a big, lean, and smart gray cat. They both lived very happily together under my care and the care of my parents and grandparents for their entire lives. I have two cats, the oldest is 5 years old, her name is Charwee, and the youngest is 2 years old, his name is Riggsatoni. They are both longhaired cats, with Charwee being a near-black tortoiseshell with a golden ruff, left foot, and a series of golden freckles across her face like a galaxy, finishing with a "shooting star" out of her left ear. Riggs is an dusty orange and white mask-and-mantle, taller than his new friend, Charwee, but with just as much fur and sweetness as she has. He's still getting the hang of being part of our household, as he's been with me since November 2025. I've also managed to train my 5 year old cat a variety of tricks and help behaviors, such as: She reminds me to take my medications if I've not gotten to it yet. She can also do two variations of a "stand" trick, complete the "spin" trick in both directions, and understands her "left" and "right" sides after training her the "touch" and "high five" tricks, meaning you can ask her for a "left paw touch" and she'll give you one. She is also trained to walk on harness. I am in process of training my youngest 2 year old cat to get him used to his harness, and even considering training him with tricks as well, but I am also giving him time to get used to his new home with my boyfriend and I. I have lived with both shorthair and longhair cats, and I've managed to trim claws with little issue for most cats; granted, some cats are obviously not always going to be comfortable with claw trims, and therefore, in my experience, it has been better for their mental state to only do one claw every five to thirty minutes, and reassure them that they're okay with giving them pets, play, and treats, or even their personal space if they desire instead, with gentle speak to remind them they still need their "spaw" day, because no one wants their nails embedded into their pads. For very short times over the course of my 26 years, I have also taken care of dogs every now and again, and even managed to train them how to handle claw trims or do some tricks. I once even had a pair of two mixed shepherd pups, picked up from my reservation, and managed to train them to follow off-leash, accept claw trims, wear harnesses, do a few tricks, and even accept baths in the short time that I was taking care of them. I'm flexible as I'm currently unemployed and job-hunting. I'm often awake at 7am but I don't become more active until 8am, and from then I'm available until 9pm. I'm usually observing body language, often consciously listening to vocal cues, and being mindful while learning about other's pet's behaviors and preferences, paying attention to any possible wants or needs via observing body languages; a few examples I can provide is when my cats point their bodies towards their bowls and indicate to me that something isn't full enough and needs more food or water, or when they indicate they want to play with me and not the other cat, or when they use their paws to touch things that have something they want inside of them, like a bag of treats or a drawer that contains the treats.
About: I've had 22 years of experience living with and loving black labs in south Minneapolis. I can accommodate dogs of any age. I love to be outdoors and enjoy walking. My work week is full; however, I am fully available on the weekends to dote on your pup. I am a teacher. From mid-August to mid-June my weeks are full. My weekends are open. I'm available over holidays. I am also available throughout the summer. I have a small home with a fenced-in yard and a park within blocks. For the past twelve years, I had a dog, and we walked every day. I greatly miss my companion and would love to shower your dog with lots of love and care.

Howe dog parents share their Rover experiences
Dana has been walking our dog for about three years. She is fabulous! Very attentive and dependable. Today, our dog was reacting to the heat and couldn’t walk anymore. Dana carried her the last block home. All 45 pounds of her. We are so grateful for Dana and the care and love she has towards Charlotte.

Highly recommend Jennifer!! My XL dog Panda warmed up to her immediately, and she has been totally comfortable and confident walking him even though he can be dog reactive. She’s also been wonderful with my small dog Alfie, who is very fearful of people and was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. He’s been having a hard time adjusting to the medication, and Jennifer has been incredibly patient with him while truly going above and beyond to earn his trust. She was also very flexible and understanding when Alfie wouldn’t walk because of the medication side effects, happily pivoting to playing with him in the backyard instead. It’s such a relief knowing my dogs are in such caring, capable, and attentive hands.

Aichon is wonderful - remembers our dogs and their tics, communicates in a timely way, reliable and leaves us helpful notes about the walks if there’s anything she thinks we should be tracking. Highly recommend and will definitely be checking her calendar next time we have a need.

We love Danielle! She came by and did a meet and greet with the pups and asked questions to understand their personalities all before starting their weekly dog walks and drop in visits. She’s super great with communication and has the skills and knowledge to handle dogs of all sizes. Our 70-80 lbs Labradors love her and it has given us such a peace of mind knowing that they are in such good hands. I would highly recommend her if you’re looking for a communicative, caring, pet care experience.

Ellie was fantastic from start to finish. She was extremely responsive right after we booked, and she even showed up a little early for the walk. She was super amenable to the few requests we had and made everything feel easy and stress-free. Our pup, Woody, loved her right away and came home as happy and cheery as ever. We highly recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a reliable, enthusiastic dog person who clearly cares about the pups she works with.
