“Shayla went above and beyond for our 12 week potty training puppy. Between the numerous potty breaks he needed as a puppy, to lots of puppy playtime…she did it all! He was happy as could be when we got home from our trip. She also sent us the cutest pictures and the best updates. We couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Amazing kind, friendly soul who loved my large shepherds up so I could get away. Diana is responsible, thoughtful and professional/ we will def use her again soon!”

“So grateful for Jose and Elizabeth house sitting and taking such good care of our SUPER needy and high maintenance dog, Kaya. She is always so anxious when we leave even for just an errand so we were worried about how she would do for five days. We received updates every day with pictures of Kaya having a great time! On walks, lounging in her bed and cuddling with our new favorite pet sitter. Coming home, everything was in its place and clean, even better than I expected. There was a bad storm while we were gone with high winds and they checked everything to make sure there wasn't damage, letting us know all was well with our home before we even knew there was a storm. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this experience. Even after our first meeting, there were good vibes and after just one day of being away with the updates and pictures, we never worried again. Highly recommend and am very happy with the service.”

“Hannah did a great job with our animals while we were away over the weekend. We get very worried about our pets while we are away and she sent us updates and pictures on how they were doing. A couple of our pets have nervous behaviors and she was very flexible and understanding with their care. Thank you!”
“Ivanna filled in for us in a last minute care situation. She was accomodating of our schedules and found the time to meet with us. My dogs were very well taken care of. The pictures and videos she sent showed me how much they liked her. She was on time and responsible with our home. It shows from the dog's reactions how experienced she is with animals. We will definitely be working with her again.”

“Salome is amazing! She agreed to take care of my cat last weekend and it was great. This was not the first time I hire her because she always does a good job and leaves the place cleaner than how she found it.”

“absolutely amazing from start to finish Ariana was so attentive and so loving with my old girl. I really truly appreciated it. She was also very patient with her and very communicative every day, which I really did appreciate.”

“My husband and I used Marie to house sit and watch our 3 dogs and 4 cats while we were away on our honeymoon (definitely no easy task)! She was very communicative and passed along tons of photos each day, and followed the instructions we left for how often to water plants, scoop litter, and pick up dog poo in the yard. It gave us such a relief to have someone watching over our babies while we were gone for so long. We even threw her a curve ball by taking in a stray cat a couple of weeks before our trip and we're still integrating him in with the rest of the pets and she did great at keeping an eye on them and giving updates about how they were getting along. We also have one cat that is ridiculously shy and his the whole time so Marie unfortunately didn't get to meet her, but a few days into the trip she helped set up one of our motion sensor cameras so I could verify the kitty was still sneaking out to eat! (She was) Definitely recommend Marie as she is someone who clearly loves animals and will take great care of them while you are away!”

“Lindsey has sat for my pup twice now and has been wonderful all around. She has no problem staying over night at my house and my dog just adores her. She sends friendly updates and is quick to respond. I will continue to book her as long as she is willing!”

“Laura is fantastic, she is the exact type of person you need to care for Pets. She is very sweet, reliable, and trust worthy. She took care of all 3 of our fur babies in our home as if they were her own. Highly recommend! We love Laura and definitely will be using her in the future.”

“Dasia was great with our pups ! She was extremely organized and never missed a beat. We loved all the updates she gave us while we were away. It left us reassured that our babies and house were in great hands. Will definitely book with her again :)”

“Danielle was wonderful! great communication and photo updates! my pup was very comfortable with her instantly and had such a good time with her. can’t wait to book her again!”

“Alyssa is a wonderful dog & house sitter. She took care of our elderly dog Hailey, who recently lost her sister, for a week while we were out of the country. This was our first time ever leaving our precious dog and we had a wonderful experience. Alyssa kept Hailey on her regular schedule and was very aware of Hailey's needs. Alyssa asked lots of important questions before her visit and wanted to make sure us & Hailey were comfortable. Alyssa also took wonderful care of our home, keeping it clean & safe. I would highly recommend Alyssa for any of your pet needs. She has alot of clients for a reason :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hebron
Roni was very punctual and kept in great contact throughout the weekend. He stayed at our house for two nights and walked our dog and kept great care of her as well as our home. Really nice, conscientious guy who is a seminary graduate with a real love and kindness for animals.

I am so reluctant to say good things on here because my animals need Ryan to be available. Ryan you give me such peace of mind when I am away. You always leave the space better than you found it. Thank you so much for accommodating my crazy and for loving them while I’m away.

Haley is the best sitter we have had! She takes the time to meet and understand your dogs’ needs first. I really appreciate all the updates she provides-videos, photos and messages so you know what is going on with your babies. She is extremely kind to my dogs and communicates very well. Highly recommend!

Ivanna was so sweet and beyond helpful staying with our dog and cat!! They are literally our babies and we were nervous to use someone to watch them over night but she totally made all of our worries go away and stayed in touch with us and sent us a ton of picture and texts updating us and it was literally the best experience and will be using her again for sure!!

Vanessa was a wonderful companion for my baby Livy while I was out of town. She stayed in my home with my girl & provided the love, safety & security we needed. Livy absolutely loved her. Livy even slept in bed with her the first night while I was still home! I'd never left Livy with anyone but family previously. I didn't worry about my baby or my house. I won't hesitate to ask Vanessa again to watch my girl. I will happily recommend Vanessa for anyone needing her services.

Hannah was friendly and very professional. She stayed at our house and cared for our two dogs for a week while we were on vacation. She took great care of them and gave us daily updates. Hannah even took one of our pups to the vet for us! We will definitely use Hannah again. The process of finding her and booking her on Rover was also easy and efficient.

Amy was very responsive to our three dogs and did a great job caring for them the week we were gone. She was neat and kept our place tidy although it rained most of the week and the dogs usually bring in tracks (but none to see when we got home). She was very good with all three dogs, including our older fluff puff that required medication, and left detailed documentation of the details of their walks and bathroom breaks. We would call on Amy again when we travel.
Julia is absolutely amazing! I am an anxious dog mom and she was so responsive and provided frequent updates that made me feel better while I was away. I also have a pretty difficult dog, so I really appreciate her being so kind and patient. Will definitely be rebooking with her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hebron walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hebron maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hebron choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
