“Danielle was a huge relief after our regular sitter planned a last minute trip the same time they were supposed to watch the puppies. She was great. Communicated quickly. Super sweet with the puppies.”

“Samantha is the best. She is so caring to our babies and detail-oriented. Our family is so happy to have found her and plan on utilizing her drop in services as much as she allows us to!”

About: I have three dogs of myself and a rabbit! I’m previously from Arizona and I’ve had dogs for longer than I can remember. I have experience in taking care of elderly dogs (14+). Currently two of my dogs are with me in VA. I make sure to remove and sterilize shoes before entering the home. Just reach out and we can shot some time around and do a meet and great! Im a graduate student and my schedule is relatively free at the moment. Any type of changes to my schedule will be communicated. I can give more concrete times when given exact dates. I don't take pets in my home due to having two dogs myself. I make sure to sterilize shoes and hands before entering premises as a precaution for dogs with sensitive health.
About: I have raised and trained my own Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd mixed dog as a wonderful and unforgettable companion. I would love to share my experience and care with your furry companion as well. I work from home so I am glad to offer pet assistance and services often. I can also work from a laptop or my phone so I’m glad to travel and serve as I can. My Alaskan Malamute is an inside/outside dog. He enjoys his time on my front lawn via a simple shock collar and has free roam within my home.

About: I’ve been caring for cats my entire life, and I have great experience with dogs as well! I have been sitting for over 10 households in the Harrisonburg area, and i’ve had nothing but great reviews! My work in a research lab at JMU is flexible, so I can usually stop by wherever you need me! I don’t have a strict schedule! I have 2 amazing cats at home and I make sure to keep them as safe as possible. I do the same when caring for other peoples pets, and treat them as my own!

About: My experience includes caring for both cats and dogs, ensuring they are well-fed, exercised, and comfortable. My priority is creating an environment and relationship where your animals know they’re safe and loved even when you’re not there. I am a grad student with a part-time job, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule. I can easily adjust my availability to meet your pet care needs, whether it’s during the day, evenings, or weekends. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I take a gentle and patient approach, letting them get to know me on their own schedule to ensure they feel safe and comfortable. I prioritize their well-being by providing attentive, compassionate care and treating them as if they were my own. Your pets’ happiness and comfort are always my top priorities.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a couple of years and love to spend time with them. Making sure they have plenty of exercise, love and attention. I have a pretty flexible schedule that we can work out in order to accommodate you and your dogs needs. I’m willing to work with your schedule Making sure the dogs have the attention they need and keeping up with their diet is very important to me along with quality time outdoors.

About: I have a dog of my own that I take care of as well as various dogs from friends and family that I have dog sat for. I enjoy taking the dogs out for walks or just giving them some company for overnights or hours during the day. I cater to the dogs energy levels weather that means play or relax time! I am a nursing student at James Madison University, so am looking for early morning or evening walks and occasional pet sitting. At home in Maryland I have a boston terrier so I am always making sure his needs are met before I do any of my activities. He goes for 3 walks a day and loves to play outside and get his energy out. At home, I have a fenced yard and always ensure that it is closed before I let mine or anybody else’s dog outside. In a clients home I will do no different. Safety is a top priority for me and ensuring that all gates are closed and locked ensures dog safety. For in home services I will always double check that doors are locked and contact clients for any concerns.
“I recently had Sarah care for my two cats, while I was out of the country for 10 days, and she did a fantastic job. My cats are pretty easy to look after - just food, water, litter box, and a little playtime but she went above and beyond. When I returned, the cats were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Nothing in the house was disturbed, which shows they felt loved and secure. On top of that, Sarah was thoughtful enough to bring in my mail and even took the trash can in from the curb, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend her to friends and will definitely book her again in the future!”

“Carolyn was absolutely wonderful! My cat is very antisocial and she managed to befriend her by the end of the week, which is incredibly impressive! She sent me frequent updates on my pet, along with cute pictures that made my day when I received them. I would love to hire her again in the future. Thank you so much Carolyn! :)”

“Amy is wonderful. Our dog is slow to warm up to people and she was so patient, we felt completely comfortable leaving our pup in her care. We will definitely be requesting her every time we need pet care.”
About: Around my neighborhood, many have asked me to care for their dogs. I also cared for my 2 family dogs growing up. I have cared for many different animals and sizes as well. When it comes to scheduling, I am very flexible and understanding too. I love being the company to a furry friend! While I am working another job, I still have much free time to be able to play and walk your dog when needed. I'm very flexible and can always use a bit of experience myself for the dog and I to both stay strong and healthy! While I may not be able to take care of your dog inside of my house, we do have a park across my street as well as a safe neighborhood where many people walk their dogs and take strolls and runs on. While being over at someone's house I respect their privacy and only use what is needed for the dogs care.
“Alyssa is fantastic. My Oscar can be so shy, yet adored his time with her. I had such a great time away to see family because I knew he was engaged with and cared for by her. Thanks so very much!”

“I am so happy that I selected Abbey from all the potential candidates from Rover.com. 5 Star Rating. Abbey was well-liked by my cats from the moment she came to our home. She even successfully administered oral medication by syringe to my one cat at their first meeting. Additionally, she appropriately texted me and sent a picture before departing on her six nightly visits. Her visits lasted an hour and my house was clean and neat when I returned and most importantly the cats, hampster, and fish were all happy and healthy. She discarded the used food cans and kitty litter and must have swept as there wasn't a kitty litter trail on the floor! Thanks, Abbey! Hope to see you again, using your pet sitting skills and services in the future!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
