I grew up with a wonderful lab/hound mix from when she was 6 months to 16 years old. We had a senior dog and an elderly cat during that time as well, so I love young and energetic as well as older pets. I currently have a 6 year old Standard Poodle named Mina, who is simply my greatest joy in life. In addition to my own pets, my siblings and I ran a petsitting business in our neighborhood from when I was in 6th grade until I graduated high school. We had many regular customers as well as a consistent flow of new ones. I dealt with all sorts of animals, homes, and pet owners over those years. Rover has now been my favorite job for 6+ years. I hope to care for your pet or pets with all the ability and love that I possess!

Since pet care means having a living creature's life as my responsibility, monitoring their health, safety, and wellbeing is my main focus while petsitting. Maintaining a pet-friendly environment, keeping an eye out for any irregular behavior, and making sure your pet is as happy as can be are some of the tasks that keep my focus during these jobs.

We have booked with Samantha multiple times now, and she is truly an amazing cat sitter! She takes wonderful care of Pumpkin, sends detailed updates with great photos, and follows all care instructions to a T. On our most recent trip, when there was a potential issue with our AC, Samantha went above and beyond to make sure Pumpkin stayed safe and comfortable. Knowing Pumpkin is in such caring, proactive hands gives us complete peace of mind while away. We will definitely be booking with Samantha again in the future and recommend you do the same if you are looking for a sitter!

Sam is absolutely amazing, very communicative along the entire stay. Came home to happy and tired dogs!
Samantha did a great job caring for my cats for a week while I was away. She ensured they were fed, had fresh water, and that the litter box was in good shape. She also went above and beyond by filling the treat puzzle for them each morning. My cats are shy, so having the treat puzzle to play with gave them some fun while I was away. I would rebook with Samantha again!

Schedule
I left my traditional retail job in summer 2022, so my schedule is now focused on pet care. For both cat-sitting and dog-sitting I can visit your pet(s) as needed throughout the day as well as stay overnight. For dogs I can also provide walks and outdoor time included with the stay. For house-sitting I will often be able to stay with your pet(s) during the day as well if needed, but since I do have family in town and appointments now and then, before booking we should discuss your pet's parameters for being alone.

- I find that knowing basic information about an animal such as age, breed information and/or adoption history, diet, and exercise needs are essential, but knowing what they struggle with or excel at is also important. What commands do they know? What are their eating habits and favorite treats? Are they afraid of anything? These things will help me not just know about the animal in question, but help me get close to actually understanding them!
