About: I have never lived in a household without pets before, so taking care of cats and dogs (and fish) is something I’ve done my whole life. I’ve owned four black labs and multiple cats over the years. I especially love big dogs, but am a big fan of all animals! She followed all of my care instructions very carefully and was extremely attentive to my cats’ needs while I was away. One thing that really stood out to me was how quickly she noticed an issue with my cat Bruce, who has chronic constipation. I had explained the warning signs to look out for before I left, and the very first night I was gone she noticed he was trying to use the litter box but couldn’t. She contacted me immediately, made herself available for a phone call, and followed all of the care steps I walked her through. Thankfully, Bruce improved a lot after that, and I was so grateful she caught it so early. She also sent constant updates and photos throughout the trip, so I was never left wondering how my babies were doing. Catherine house sat for two nights as well, and when I came home my apartment was exactly as I left it. I felt like my cats and home were genuinely cared for while I was away. About: I have been in the caring business since my teenage years - babysitting my younger siblings, caring for my family dog, running a summer enrichment program for at risk youth, caring for horses at a dude ranch and a western suburbs farm, minding many friends' dogs, and wrangling my own two senior dogs - brother and sister, now 14 years old. (But, so rambunctious for their first 10+ years). I love dogs and will care for your dog just as you would. One of my dogs is now blind and the other requires daily subcutaneous fluids so I am willing and able to help out with any of your pet's special needs as well..... I know how stressful it can be to ensure a routine is kept. Pet first aid and CPR certified. I am currently on a full time job hunt in marketing analytics and very available (with notice) to care for your dogs most days and evenings as I can search and do freelance work remotely. Depending on your dog's needs I can usually provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours in between errands, etc. My calendar will be updated to show days I plan to be away. At this time, I can care for pets in my client's home. I do need to bring my dogs for the overnight portion of the stay but will keep them separate in a room/space of your choosing during the evening (and on bedroom floor at night). They are very dog friendly just very sleepy and do well snoozing someplace quiet.
