“Carrie is an ANGEL! She was able to help us on super short notice, and took amazing care of our pup. We loved getting cute little summaries of her day, and slept well knowing she was in wonderful hands. Thank you so so much, Carrie! We will totally be using your services in the future, you did great with our girl!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs. I got my dog in college and have been dedicated to his care no matter what. Through moves and full time jobs, he has always been #1. He is a senior now and needs a little extra attention in regards to mobility, so I am comfortable with that. When he was younger he had BOUNDLESS energy as well and was eager to please. I’ve seen both sides and love them and all the traits in between Pet care is a 24/7 deal. They give us unconditional love so we should always be dedicating ourselves to the same. Daily walks, exercise and for sniffing are both beneficial and also just someone to sit by and patrol the neighborhood I care for pets how their owners would because that’s what will make the dog the most comfortable with a new person in their environment. I will always follow the clients routines and expectations
“Cailin was exceptional with my two large dogs and very punctual. She bonded and played with my dogs the same as they accustomed to when we’re home. She even proactively communicated on my cat and took care of a mess my GSD made !”

“I liked Chloe the minute I met her. She came over for a pre visit to meet my cats and learn about their routine. Ava and Tucker warmed up to her right away and I knew they would be in good hands. Chloe arrived on schedule for four mornings and five evenings to feed, play with and attend the litter box. When I arrived home from my trip, the house was in order, and everything looked as I left it. I’ll definitely request Chloe again. 🏠😸👍🏻👍🏻”

“Kelsey was so great to our three cats while we took a well needed vacation. This was the first time we had left them home alone together and in a new house too. We were very curious everyday to see the checkin photos, how they gradually started to anticipate her arrivals and play time, our attention loving boy Walter seemed to have gotten pretty affectionate with her like he wanted her to take him home with her. Absolutely recommend and will rebook Kelsey if she is available in the future.”

About: I’ve cared for many types of animals of different shapes and sizes in various animal shelter, grooming, and veterinary settings. From pets, to livestock, and exotic reptiles. I’m currently a veterinary technician student as well. Your Companion deserves Time, Love, and Care and my purpose in life is to provide them that. I’m very passionate about this line of work. As a current full time Remote Veterinary student, I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I’m available 5 days week in the mornings and afternoons. When I care for your pet in your home my routine is to treat them like family and your home like a sacred space. I am more than willing to respect all boundaries put in place in order to do my job properly. I am a helicopter pet parent so your little guy or gal is safe with me.
About: I grew up around big and small dogs and have had cats, snakes, and turtles. I worked at a vet clinic for a couple months then moved to working at an animal humane society for a year and a half, I am now working at a doggy daycare and have dog/house sat for some family friends. I have experienced in special needs senior pups and I have experienced with rabbits as well. I currently have 3 dogs, 5 cats, a rabbit, and a betta fish and my personal pets. I work Monday-Friday and mainly work 6:30am-1:30pm. I have plenty of time after work to spend time walking and caring for the furry friends, I work no weekends so the furry friends will have some full days of love and attention. Depending on the needs of the pet and the parents instructions I like to do at least 30 minutes of playtime and enrichment, if no fenced yard depending on age and size of day, 30 minutes of walking around the neighborhood and playtime inside of home or enrichment
“Janice checked in our kitties for three days over the Christmas holiday, and we couldn't have been happier with her communication and the care she gave them. Each time she visited we received a thorough report and 20+ photos. She clearly really cared about making sure they were happy and went above and beyond to make sure we knew how things were going. I'd absolutely book her again.”

“Emma did a wonderful job taking care of my cat Hazel while I was out of town. Hazel has several specific needs, like medicine, special feeding instructions, and grooming needs, and Emma handled her complexity with care. She sent daily updates while I was away, which gave me peace of mind to know Hazel was being looked after during a stressful time. Emma absolutely came through for us and I’d recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have experience with taking care of friends and families pets, keeping things cleaned and on the correct feeding schedule. I was a bather at a dog grooming salon for the last 3 years where we specialized in aggressive and senior dogs. So I have experience with handling all personality types and dealing with them in a safe manner. I can trim nails and polish them as well as bathe and dry a dog. As of right now I am doing this full time so I have plenty of time to care for other people's pets. I have a set schedule on here to try and keep things organized but it never hurts to ask if I'm willing to do another day. I currently don't have the space to have someone else's pet at my home as it's a small space with 2 cats already but will respect the rules of the clients home and ensure their pet stays safely on their property or when we go on walks.

My references are stellar, and I am very responsible and trusting. .

About: I have always had some kind of animal in my home and truly because they are so amazing. I have watched many different animals for different people for many years. I have done drop ins just to let dogs out, walked them, and just truly loved on them. I respect and give the best care to all of the animals I care for. I make sure to always keep the families updated because I know how hard it can be, but I promise your fur babies will be so loved! I am currently in school fully online for my bachelors in prekindergarten. I also am working at a school as an aide and completely love it. I’m really looking to fill my summer but also have some jobs during the fall! I will show the attention to your pet the second I walk in the door and always make sure I know what service I need to provide for the animal. My goal is to always make sure the animals are safe and taken care of. I will make sure to ask all of my questions before I show up so that I am able to give them the best care!

“Callie was great with communication and solved a problem with a food mixup to make sure our dogs were taken care of. She is definitely someone I recommend for drop in support. Thanks Callie!”

“Constance has watched our boys before but this time was different. We were in the process of moving when I was told to go on a trip for work. We had emptied our apartment but didn’t want to put our cats in an unfamiliar environment (a new house) and then leave them. So the cats stayed in the apartment and Constance came to check on them. One of our cats became so stressed out by the change to his home that he was a completely different animal. Constance sent me constant updates and (because she works with our vet) she saw the signs of distress and assisted us in getting him anxiety medication until we could get home. Invaluable connection to have if you’re leaving your cats for any period of time. She knows cats and is very helpful in easing my mind when we’re away.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life! I grew up taking care of them, volunteering at animal shelters and helping neighbors with their pets when they were out of town. I will treat your pet just like my own and I can’t wait to meet them! :) I am available during the week Monday through Friday during the summer! I am able to make a quick stop in or take your pet for a walk! I will walk and play with your pets so that they get a break during the day! I can also feed them and give them water if needed.
“Alexa was so amazing with Macie. She spent a lot of time with her on each visit and we got pictures of Macie with each visit. It's so nice to know that our Macie was so well loved while we were away. I will be booking with Alexa again and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My passion began as a child with my poodle, Annie, and grew through my teen year with my pomeranian affectionately known as Cupcake. Those early bonds taught me what a dog needs most: patience, play, and tons of affection. Having spent years pet-sitting for friends and neighbors, I’m excited to bring that same family style care to your pups! Whether your dog is a high energy pup or a mellow gentle giant, I’ll tailor every visit to their specific needs. Looking forward to some new furry friends! 🐶 I’m currently home during the day as a new mom and would love to spend some of that time walking or checking in on your furry friends! I’m available anytime except 3-8pm on weekdays and I have full availability Friday through Sunday. I sometimes bring my baby along in a carrier, so your pet does need to be okay with small humans. I'm a lifelong pet lover and can't wait to meet your four legged family members! I am highly attentive to instructions and deeply respectful of your home and privacy. While I absolutely love the joy that comes with pet sitting, I recognize the level of responsibility it requires. I don't take your trust lightly; your pet will receive the highest quality of care and will be treated with the same love and devotion I give my own animals. I know how much you miss your furry family members while you're away! To give you peace of mind, I provide frequent photos during every visit. Unless you prefer fewer notifications, you can expect plenty of updates so you can see exactly how much fun we’re having and rest easy knowing they are in great hands. My goal is to keep you in the loop on all our adventures, ensuring you feel connected even when you’re apart.

This was our first time ever using Rover and we were a little hesitant with having someone come into the house to care for our furbabies (2 cats) while we were on vacation. Enter in Kelsey! She was great! Kelsey showed up, took photos, and communicated greatly. We never had to worry at all while on vacation. I would definitely be booking Kelsey again for our next vacation to watch after our furbabies.

Paige was so kind & very patient with my cat ! She made sure she had plenty of water & food every day! Even though my cat was very shy, she tried to give her love & attention in little ways. She sent me pics every day & was very responsive. She helped out with little tasks around the house too. Thank you Paige for taking care of my girl!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
