“Lisa is awesome!! She was more than accommodating and loved on our dogs while we were gone & sent frequent updates with pics on how they were doing. We will definitely use Lisa again and I know our dogs would love seeing her too!”

“I liked Chloe the minute I met her. She came over for a pre visit to meet my cats and learn about their routine. Ava and Tucker warmed up to her right away and I knew they would be in good hands. Chloe arrived on schedule for four mornings and five evenings to feed, play with and attend the litter box. When I arrived home from my trip, the house was in order, and everything looked as I left it. I’ll definitely request Chloe again. 🏠😸👍🏻👍🏻”

“I recently moved to Ohio and needed to find a new pet sitter. This process has always been so stressful, needing a person my pets liked and I trusted. I lucked out when I found Cheryl! She is a true animal lover who is professional, trustworthy and genuinely kind. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Jeffrey has been a great sitter. He is always on time, excited to see my dog Ducky, and leaves detailed reports of how the visit went - would definitely recommend!”

“I just met Scott for the first time today. There was a possibility I would have to go out of town to the hospital in the next day or two. I have one cat sitter but I need additional one. I immediately felt at ease with him. He carried some heavy cat litter down my steps into my basement and did the litter boxes. He's very kind and although my cats really didn't meet him today I feel very comfortable in leaving him his care.”

“Callie was great with communication and solved a problem with a food mixup to make sure our dogs were taken care of. She is definitely someone I recommend for drop in support. Thanks Callie!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including both large and small dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, turtles, and fish. My professional background includes working at a veterinary clinic for several months, followed by a year and a half at an animal humane society, where I gained valuable experience caring for animals with diverse needs. I currently work at a doggy daycare, where I continue to build my knowledge of canine behavior, safety, and care. In addition to my professional experience, I have provided dog and house sitting services for family friends. I am experienced in caring for senior dogs and pets with special needs, ensuring they receive the patience, attention, and specialized care they require. As a lifelong animal lover, I also care for a variety of pets of my own, including three dogs, five cats, a rabbit, and a betta fish. My hands-on experience with animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments allows me to provide dependable, compassionate, and attentive care for every pet as if they were my own. I work Monday through Friday, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., which gives me plenty of time each afternoon and evening to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, and companionship for your pets. I also have weekends completely free, allowing me to dedicate full days to giving your furry family members the love, attention, and care they deserve. I am committed to ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I tailor my care to each pet's individual needs and always follow the owner's instructions and routine. I strive to provide at least 30 minutes of playtime and enrichment activities during each visit. For pets without access to a fenced yard, I also provide approximately 30 minutes of neighborhood walks, depending on the pet's age, size, energy level, and overall health. Afterward, I continue engaging them with indoor play or enrichment activities to keep them mentally and physically stimulated.

“Amber was great! She dropped by for a meet and greet before our scheduled visit. Came by on time and hung out with our pup for a bit and even brought packages inside for us!! Fantastic communication as well! Will definitely book with her again!”

About: I grew up with cats until I was in my late 20s. My wife turned me into a dog lover with a Yorkshire terrier and Morky the past 15 yrs. They are our everything. We do not have kids bc we spoil our fur children. I’ve never formally cared for animals as a profession but am trying to get into it as a secondary source of income. I work third shift professionally so it allows me to have some unique flexibility with day time hr needs for pet visits. I work third shift Sunday night thru Thursday night. I’m generally home by 6:30a so much of my mornings are free. 12-5 pm would be a little more challenging for me Monday-Thursday specifically but not impossible. Fridays and Saturdays I typically have max flexibility for visits. Our pup(s) are spoiled daily. We have an enclosed fenced back yard. They wear clothes and get daily walks most days when it’s not too hot. We’ve taken them on full multi state road trips for vacations many many times from Florida to Rhode Island to South Carolina and others. They come with us any chance they can.
“Julie is the best! She took fabulous care of my two cats.. one of which has a medical condition, so I am always hesitant to leave her. But, the daily updates and photos reassured me that she was in exceptional care and healthy while we where away. Thank you so much Julie!!! I highly recommend Julie for your pet care.”

“I am so happy with the care Michelle gives my puppies. She is so attentive to their needs and is flexible with my schedule. I love the daily pictures I get of their time together. She loves them like they are her own and that gives me peace while I am away.”
“Constance has watched our boys before but this time was different. We were in the process of moving when I was told to go on a trip for work. We had emptied our apartment but didn’t want to put our cats in an unfamiliar environment (a new house) and then leave them. So the cats stayed in the apartment and Constance came to check on them. One of our cats became so stressed out by the change to his home that he was a completely different animal. Constance sent me constant updates and (because she works with our vet) she saw the signs of distress and assisted us in getting him anxiety medication until we could get home. Invaluable connection to have if you’re leaving your cats for any period of time. She knows cats and is very helpful in easing my mind when we’re away.”

About: I’ve cared for many types of animals of different shapes and sizes in various animal shelter, grooming, and veterinary settings. From pets, to livestock, and exotic reptiles. I’m currently a veterinary technician student as well. Your Companion deserves Time, Love, and Care and my purpose in life is to provide them that. I’m very passionate about this line of work. As a current full time Remote Veterinary student, I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I’m available 5 days week in the mornings and afternoons. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arbor Crest. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
