This was definitely the case with Amanda and her family. Our boys, Mack (a doberman) and Luke (a Miniature Schnauzer), did very well there and got along well with their family dog and cats. Mack had some intestinal problems while we were out of town and Amanda went the extra mile to make sure he was well cared for and recovered without issue. She also provided regular updates on our boys even though we had no expectation of this, which was great. About: I’ve been involved with dog rescue for many years. I worked with virtually every type of dog there is. From shy, timid to very high energy. I’ve had dogs that had aggression issues. I worked with dogs on leash training, housebreaking, and socialization. I am retired. I have nothing but time on my hands! I volunteer Thursday mornings at an equine therapy barn. But I will still have time to take care of animals on Thursdays. I am open to caring for dogs in my home. But! They have to be dog and cat friendly. I would prefer not to have younger dogs, only because my dogs are older and don’t like young dogs, jumping all over them. My dogs are very dog friendly though. My cats are very dog friendly. When I walk, my attention is on the dogs (not my phone) and when I dog sit, I treat your home how I'd like my home to be treated if someone was staying there (i.e. not really wandering around and/or touching stuff, ha) and again, all attention is on the dog. Otherwise, I'll just be writing away on my scripts. I absolutely love dogs and have raise several from puppies. This is also an outlet for me after the passing of a beloved elderly dog that I had since she was a puppy. I'd be happy to take excellent care of your dogs.

About: I have cared for my own dogs and cats for years, but no longer have one of my own. Let me care for yours when you need me. I am recently retired from full time work, so my schedule is flexible to help care for your pets when you can’t. Pets come first for me. Pets do much better in their own home. Dogs and cats are comforted when they are with someone who is focused on giving attention and love that they need, on a schedule they are accustomed to.
About: I've had a love for animals my entire life and have years of hands-on pet care experience. Growing up with two family dogs taught me the responsibilities of daily pet care, from feeding and walking to playtime, exercise, grooming, and making sure they always felt loved and cared for. In addition to caring for my own pets, I volunteered as a foster with Cincinnati Animal CARE, where I provided a safe and nurturing home for a foster cat. Through fostering, I gained experience helping a pet adjust to a new environment, establishing routines, monitoring their well-being, and giving them the patience and attention they needed to thrive before finding their forever home. These experiences have helped me become a compassionate, dependable caregiver who understands that every pet has their own personality and deserves individualized care. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. In addition to caring for dogs throughout my life, I also had the rewarding experience of fostering a cat through Cincinnati Animal CARE. Fostering taught me the importance of patience, creating a calm and safe environment, and helping an animal adjust to a new home and routine. I provided daily care, including feeding, cleaning the litter box, playtime, and plenty of affection while monitoring the cat's comfort and well-being. This experience strengthened my understanding that every pet has a unique personality and needs individualized care. Whether I'm caring for a playful kitten, a relaxed senior cat, or an energetic dog, I'm committed to making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable! My schedule allows for flexibility throughout most of the week. I attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, so I have limited availability during those times. Outside of those class hours, I am available for pet care services, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I strive to be reliable and accommodating when scheduling visits, walks, or overnight care, and I will communicate promptly to ensure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. At my house I have a fenced in yard so my dog is protected from any of the animals around. Your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I provide dependable care, constant supervision, and secure walks so you can feel completely at ease.

“With the right sitter, I think having our dogs stay in a person's home is significantly less stressful than staying in a standard boarding kennel. This was definitely the case with Amanda and her family. Our boys, Mack (a doberman) and Luke (a Miniature Schnauzer), did very well there and got along well with their family dog and cats. Mack had some intestinal problems while we were out of town and Amanda went the extra mile to make sure he was well cared for and recovered without issue. She also provided regular updates on our boys even though we had no expectation of this, which was great. When I came to pick the dogs up, I saw them lounging in the front room before they knew I was there. They looked right at home. We wouldn't hesitate to have Amanda take care of our boys in the future.”
