“Alexa was truly a cat whisperer with my two cats. She approached them on their terms (because cats don’t always warm up immediately!!) and I was rewarded with many pictures and videos of both my cats enjoying her company. She made sure to play and snuggle the cats, giving them fulfilling visits alongside the basic food/litter necessities. I also appreciated that she paid careful attention to the litter habits. I have two boys, and those are known to get urinary problems as they are older. She did a wonderful job communicating her visits and sent plenty of pictures and videos so I could get my cat fix from afar! About: I have a little over 3 years of experience caring for my friends and family’s dogs. They have entrusted me in walking their furbabies when they are unable to, feed and bathe them while they are away, and watch them for extended periods of time. About: I'm a freelance animation writer and dog lover who has had dogs his entire life and enjoys walking and sitting his friend's dogs. Now I'm looking to walk and sit even more dogs to supplement my writing income while also taking advantage of my extremely flexible schedule. I'm very patient, attentive and affectionate with dogs. When I walk, my attention is on the dogs (not my phone) and when I dog sit, I treat your home how I'd like my home to be treated if someone was staying there (i.e. not really wandering around and/or touching stuff, ha) and again, all attention is on the dog. About: I currently work as a veterinary technician and have been in the veterinary medicine field for six years. Growing up, I had a feisty miniature dachshund and a goofy golden retriever. When I moved out, I got my own dynamic duo over the years- a chihuahua mix (Brulee- like the dessert crème Brulee) and three years later an Australian shepherd mix (muffin). Brulee was a very opinionated and particular girl while muffin is a gentle soul and afraid of her own shadow. I am fear free certified and have been since I entered the vet med field, it is something that is very important to me and I practice it with every animal I interact with. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages. If they have special needs, behaviors, or quirks please tell me everything- I want to know all about your pet! Their comfort as well as yours is of the upmost importance to me. I love taking dogs on walks and hikes, allowing them to set the tone and pace- if they want to speed walk, we can do that or if they want to take a leisurely stroll sniffing every blade of grass that is fine too. I will keep your dog leashed the entire time we are out of the house, unless we are in an enclosed backyard. I do not take dogs to dog parks, unless have a well-established recall and if you request me to. However your pet wants to play, I am game- we can play ball, tug of war, hide and seek, or treat puzzles- whatever gets them excited! I am happy to medicate and feed your pet as needed. I prefer to meet you and your fur baby beforehand to ensure safety and it is a good fit! I currently work from home full time and pick up shifts at clinics when I can. My schedule hours vary so I can be available at normal or obscure hours. As long as we can find a window to make it work, I am happy to be flexible for you and your fur baby! I will care for your pets and home like I care for my own. If your pet has specific needs or if you have special requests, I will do my best to fulfill them to keep you and your pup happy, safe, and comfortable!
