“Tabitha is an incredible sitter and companion for my dog Scout. I can see the care and detail she takes in playing with him and making him feel important. I travel a lot for work and it’s just me so it’s always stressful knowing I have to leave my dog behind. But I’m always assured he’s in great hands with Tabitha. Thank you for all that you do. It truly matters.”

“Tara was amazing! She stopped by our house twice a day to look after our dog and we got such detailed feedback after every walk. We also got awesome photos. About: As an avid animal lover, I've had extensive experience taking care of various pets of all ages and sizes. My experience ranges from the more common dogs and cats to birds, hedgehogs, lizards, horses, fish, etc. I've been fortunate enough to care for pets of my own and been entrusted with the care of pets belonging to friends and extended family. I've also had the opportunity to spend over a decade volunteering at animal shelters in central Maryland. As someone who has used Rover previously for petsitting services myself, I understand how nerve wracking it can feel to leave your loved one in the hands of someone new. You can rest assured that I will provide the same love and devotion to your pets as I do my own :) If you're interested in booking any services with me, I would love to do a meet and greet with you and your pets. This allows me to get acquainted with everyone and have a full understanding of their needs, habits and schedule to ensure the most positive experience for them. My schedule is open so I'm able to provide much more flexibility to accommodate your schedule and your pet's needs! Please see my calendar for specific availability :) While in my care, I can provide pictures and updates on how your pets are doing as often as you would like! Prior to providing any services, I would also love to schedule a meet and greet with you and your pet(s) prior to providing any services. This will allow me the chance to meet your pet(s) with you present and gain a full understanding of their needs, including dietary and medical (if applicable), habits and any preferences they may have. I will be sure to carefully follow all your instructions so I can ensure your pets have the safest, happiest time in my care :)

About: I have a history of household pets which encourages me to continue working with animals! As a full-time teacher, I’m strong in following instructions and providing clear and accurate support for your pet so you can relax while away. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes—from small breeds to large, high-energy mixes like my college coach’s Great Dane-Mastiff dogs. I’m confident handling strong, powerful pups as well as more delicate or senior dogs who may need extra patience and care. My background has given me experience with everything from daily walks and feeding schedules to helping reinforce training routines and managing unique pet personalities. I’m also a strong communicator—I keep owners updated regularly with messages, photos, and anything else that offers peace of mind while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priority, and I take pride in being someone both you and your pets can trust. I’m a full-time teacher and have summers off, which gives me a flexible schedule and the opportunity to take on more pet care responsibilities during that time. While I use some of the summer to travel and spend time with family, I also believe it’s important to keep working—and there’s no better way than by spending time with animals! Pet care fits naturally into my active lifestyle. I love getting outside, so dropping in for visits or taking your dog for a walk is just as rewarding for me as it is for your pet. My open summer schedule allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present while caring for your pets. As a full-time teacher with multiple clearances, I bring responsibility, structure, and trust to every pet care visit. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain your pet’s routine, ensuring they feel safe and cared for in their own space. I create a calm, consistent environment by paying close attention to details like feeding schedules, medication, and enrichment—providing the same level of care and respect I give to my own pets.

“Janine is the best. I can’t always count on her to walk Burke with such short notice. He loves his walks with her. And she is great with responding to my questions”

“I could not be happier with Sam and the excellent care he provided for my dog, Walter! I needed to be out of town for the better part of a week, and having just moved to town, did not have any friends or family to watch after my large canine; Sam to the rescue! I had never used this service or this site before, so initially was a tad skeptical. After Sam's quick response, and then after meeting him in person, I knew Walter would be in good hands. I initially approached him requesting two walks per day, but due to his reasonable pricing, I suggested that I would be interested in adding a third walk every day. Even though I'm sure it was a bit out of the way, he accepted the extra work with alacrity. On top of all this, when I needed to put Walter on antibiotics last-minute, Sam was more than happy to administer the medicine. It was clear from the "Rover Cards" that Walter was getting great walks, and truly first-rate overall care. I would absolutely use Sam's service again, and would recommend him to anyone needing hassle-free, reliable care. I hope he is available if and when I need him again. Thanks Sam!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the past 15 years, when I got a puppy for my kids. A few years later we adopted another dog as a companion. Our dogs are part of our family. I have experience from puppy through senior pup, which includes giving medications. I’ve also worked as a Veterinary Technician and volunteered as a dog walker at a shelter. Both were rewarding experiences which provided me additional practice with sick pet care and leash walking. I am available most days and evenings. I’m available to travel to make home visits, and can walk your pet in your neighborhood or take them to a local dog park or other type of recreation area. We have a gated deck and fenced in area for our dogs. We have one small senior dog who gets along well with both dogs and cats.
