“Mallory is extremely loving to our pets and has put us at ease with leaving our senior dog and senior cat in the care of someone other than family. This allows my pets to stay in the comfort of there own and reduces so much stress on them. She is friendly and trustworthy and we are so happy we found her here!”

“We love love love Eryn! Our doggo is skittish at best but she has taken to Eryn (even when it’s been a while!). We cannot express the comfort we feel knowing our baby is safe with her!”

About: I take pride in my work and strive to treat each and every animal I care for as I would my own personal pets. I personally understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your furry family members and do my best to make the experience as amazing as possible for both pets and pet parents. I have worked in the pet care industry for over ten years now. I began dog walking in NYC, then managed a luxury boarding/daycare facility for dogs in East Syracuse. Since then I have also branched out into working in animal rescue as well. I also am currently pursuing a certification in dog training. I currently work for myself so my hours are flexible. I can accommodate dog walking most mornings, afternoons and nights. I currently offer in home boarding but limit it to three dogs per night to ensure the best quality of care. I understand that allowing someone into your home to care for your pet can be nerve racking, so I strive to be as mindful of this as possible. Some of the ways I ensure I do this are by speaking with the client before hand to go over anything specific they need done, entering the home in a safe and respectful manner, greeting the pet I'm caring for with enthusiasm, creating a bond with them & making the experience as fun and stress free as possible.

“This is the first time we used Rover and it was a very good experience. Linda took excellent care of our dog and 2 cats as well as our home. She checked in with pictures at each visit which enabled us to enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were in good hands. We will definitely ask Linda again to care for our pets in the future.”

“Julia was fantastic. We needed someone to drop in for our chocolate lab while we were away for a softball tournament. I realized he needed two drop ins and she was very accommodating. She was punctual, friendly, and took good care of our boy. Would recommend Julia 🙂”

“Vicky did an awesome job caring for Bruce. She was in communication with me and sent great pictures so I had complete peace of mind. I think Bruce really liked Vicky and the feeling was mutual. I highly recommend Vicky to care for your fur baby.”

“Bridget was amazing. She was thorough, communicative and our dogs loved her. The pictures she sent during her time with our dogs were great to get and she left thorough notes on how the visits were. Highly recommend!”

“Kacie was wonderful with my fur babies.they both love her. The second I met her I knew she was the perfect person for my dogs. She’s so sweet and kind . I can tell she loves dogs. She stayed a long time with my dogs making sure they got love. I highly recommend her. Will be using her again and again.”

“Nicole did drop ins for my two dogs for a long weekend. She was very attentive and thorough at keeping you informed on how your dogs are doing. We are repeat customers and would highly recommend her!”

“I was very happy with my overall experience with Rover. It was easy to set up and choose someone to care for my 2 cats when I was out of town. Nancy was great! She came when she said she would and gave me updates at each visit. When I came home, the house was so calm and peaceful. The cats were safe, fed and happy. I would definitely recommend Nancy and will use her again in the future. Thanks! :) Rose G.”

“Alexis was spectacular watching over our baby Maya with some drop in visits to our home! After getting booked for a last minute work trip, she came to the rescue in a days notice and even squeezed in a complimentary meet & greet before we left. She checked in and tracked each walk, reported the pup's bathroom movements, and sent pictures of Maya smiling in her care. Absolutely, 110% would recommend Alexis and trust that we will be calling her again in the future!”

Madison was really great with my dog , Rosie. She is a very kind and caring sitter. She has watched Rosie for us several times and Rosie is always so excited when she knows Madison is coming over! I can tell she truly loves animals and will care for Rosie like I would. I would recommend her to anyone! Thanks Madison!

Mallory is excellent with our cats and dogs! She was available last minute and I was very very satisfied with her service. She gave our pets medication, pills and shots. She was very knowledgeable in administration of meds. She is always punctual and reliable. She really puts my mind at ease when leaving my pets. So professional and friendly! I have come in contact with some sitters that weren’t as professional. I can tell she’s been doing this for quite a while. The pets absolutely love her! My cat always hides and never comes out while we have a sitter but she came right out and that let me know she’s a great loving sitter. I’ll always rehire her when I can. So amazing! Thank you so much Mallory.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
