“Sandra was great with my Zeus. She kept me informed of his actions and took care of him while I was away. My dog is anxious, so it meant a lot that she cared and connected with him. I will use her services again.”

“Jon was great with my dog, gave her plenty of exercise and sent pictures and updates of her progress. Having a fenced in yard was also a huge bonus for my very high energy dog. Would recommend.”

“This is the second time we leave our pup with Daniel and he's officially our go-to sitter. He and his wife give and show much care and the communication/business side of things always runs smooth. Thanks again Daniel! Till the next time 👋”

“Jadyn stayed with my 119-pound Bernedoodle for five days, and she was absolutely amazing. She maintained regular communication throughout my trip and sent pictures, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Knowing that she already had experience caring for large dogs made me feel very comfortable from the start. My dog was well cared for, and I could tell he was in great hands. I will definitely be booking Jadyn again for my next vacation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Carla took great care of my dog while I was at a wedding. I appreciated the videos she sent and that she was able to accommodate us last minute. Definitely recommend!”

“This was the first time using Rover. I will absolutely trust Dawn to watch my Lily again. Dawn was understanding with me and my fears of leaving my pup. Her family was very welcoming as well. She went above and beyond on making her home pet friendly. I received many photos and videos to set my mind at ease. If 6 stars was option I would give it to her!”

“Amy not only came through on very short notice, she was kind, professional and accommodating. Tango - who had only been sat by family members prior to this - immediately felt comfortable and welcome. He had a ball, was well cared for and even got a bath and nail trim for an extremely reasonable additional charge. Amy is close to the retreat we were on, which was part of the reason why we chose her, but I would seriously consider making the 2-hour trip to her if Tango needed sitting again, regardless of her proximity to where I was going.”

“David and his family were incredible with my Moosey. This was the longest I’ve ever been away from her and I am extremely grateful to have found care that is so considerate and joyful. Moose has a ton of energy and personality, and David and his family ensured that she was loved, exercised, and understood like the puppy baby she thinks she is. He communicated thoroughly about her day-to-day and checked in about any deviations to their or her regular schedule. He is also very flexible and understanding, which I truly appreciated before and after a long trip abroad. Though they are moving, I truly hope (and know Moose does as well) to rebook their services in the future. Amazing, loving, knowledgable family with amazing snacks! Definitely recommend.”

“Very pleased to add another glowing review: this was the first stay for our energetic young cat Bella w/ Maria, her caring family, and resident cats and canines. Maria has a particularly good arrangement and process for gradually acclimating guest cats to a residence, especially one with other felines. As the only pet in our household, Bella's very curious about other cats. The updates and photos show that she was enjoying the run of the house within the first couple days and getting along with the other cats and dogs. It says a lot about the family's skill in creating a comfortable atmosphere for their own pets and boarders alike. Highly recommended.”

“Beckie and her family were the perfect home away from home for our high-energy 2yo German Shepherd. She has a beautiful and massive back yard and provided photo updates throughout the stay. We’ll happily trust Beckie with Echo on future trips and highly recommend her!”

“Francesca and John were wonderful! Buddy did very well during his stay. This was his first time ever boarding and I was nervous about how he would do since he is an older dog. They kept me updated all the time and assured me he was relaxed and not anxious. So glad we found them!”

“I had such a great experience with Lieb. He took amazing care of my dog and went above and beyond to keep me updated. I received lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay, which really helped me feel at ease knowing she was safe, happy, and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again! Highly recommend.”

“Jane's family continues to be our favorite home away from home for Elwood. The level of attention, care and flexibility makes this an outstanding service - one that we hope to take advantage of for a long time to come!”

“Melissa did such an amazing job taking care of my dog Melo. I went away for the weekend and was able to book with her a week before. She introduced my dog to her other animals for the first time and I think he was so happy to have other furry friends for the weekend. Melissa was super clear and communicative throughout. I loved seeing the photos and videos every few hours so I always felt like melo was in good hands. She also had a print out award and treat for Melo after his stay which was so sweet. Thanks again Melissa for watching Melo :)”

“We only used Arsenii once so far but will definitely be going back. Oscar has a bit of separation anxiety but Arsenii's place provides a relaxed vibe and Oscar made himself right at home.”

“Natasha made us so at ease when watching our girl while we got married! She sent daily updates with pictures, and Scout came back like she was on vacation!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
