“This is the first time we used Rover and it was a very good experience. Linda took excellent care of our dog and 2 cats as well as our home. She checked in with pictures at each visit which enabled us to enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were in good hands. We will definitely ask Linda again to care for our pets in the future.”

“Such a doll! She offered to come meet me and my dog beforehand for free just to put my mind at ease and make sure it was a good fit! Very kind, polite and I was pleasantly surprised about how knowledgeable she was about dogs and their behaviors in general. My pup is very anxious and he can have a bit of separation anxiety but she was able to suggest some helpful tips and he seemed to be very comfortable with her almost immediately. She sent me pictures throughout and was very patient with all of my nervous texts as this was the first time I’ve left Landon with anyone ever! I can be over bearing but she was great! Very happy, thank you so much!”

“Eryn was a great communicator, very friendly and punctual, and went above and beyond when our heater got stuck in the on position and almost overheated the house. Thank you!”

“Julia was fantastic. We needed someone to drop in for our chocolate lab while we were away for a softball tournament. I realized he needed two drop ins and she was very accommodating. She was punctual, friendly, and took good care of our boy. Would recommend Julia 🙂”

“Vicky did an awesome job caring for Bruce. She was in communication with me and sent great pictures so I had complete peace of mind. I think Bruce really liked Vicky and the feeling was mutual. I highly recommend Vicky to care for your fur baby.”

About: I grew up on a dairy farm with all sorts of animals around. I have had many dogs, cats, parrots, chickens, rabbits, rats, and horses over the years. I have a degree in Equestrian Science and have taken care of animals my entire adult life. I have always been an avid hiker as well and love to take the pups on walks around the area. I currently own 3 dogs, a parrot, and 2 chickens and will give your animals the same love and attention that I give my own! I'm currently working part time and so have plenty of time to play with your fur babies. I am currently available for house sitting, drop in visits and dog walking. If your dogs get along with mine I might be able to do boarding as well. I have a dog door at my house with a fenced in yard along with 5 acres of fields to walk in. When coming to your home, I use my deep knowlege of dogs, cats, and other animals to keep your animals happy in their own home where your pets are MOST comfortable. They have the comfort of knowing they are safe in a place where they can learn to trust me and we can develop a bond so I can give your pets the same level of love and care as I would give my own pets.

About: I’ve volunteered at animal shelters since I was a young teen, taken care of neighbor’s pets while they were away on vacation, and most of all, have thoroughly cared for my own pets since I was a child. I have taken care of cats and dogs, as well as rabbits and other small animals. I currently have an 8 year old long haired rescue cat named Jasper who calls my house his home! 🐈⬛ I’m a full time music teacher during the week, so ideally I will be available to walk dogs on the weekends. Please feel free to reach out with any specific time concerns or requests! If I am walking your dog or visiting your pets for a drop-in, my main goal is to care for them as if they were my own pet. My love and care for animals runs very deep, and I aim to extend that to any pets in my care.
“Jennifer stops by for drop in visits for our senior golden retriever , and we are so lucky to have her coming to our house. Knowing that our dog with someone so caring gave us so much peace of mind. We are grateful for the attention she gives to our pet. She is punctual, always on time and communicates very well. We will continue using her as our pet sitter. Thank you Jennifer.”

“Sammy is the absolute best in the area! She took such good care of our dog Ellie and we would use her services again in a heartbeat. We got lots of pictures of the visit, and she took her for a nice long walk. She definitely knows her stuff with dogs, and when she first met us and Ellie, she let Ellie warm up to her on her own terms and took her time. Before we knew it Ellie was curled up on her lap. We trust Sammy to watch her in the future and highly recommend all of her services! She is very flexible and accommodating as well. Very satisfied dog parents here!”

We have used Madison in the past and we are always happy with the results! Bugsy loves her! I mean absolutely loves her! We have an in home camera & he is always attached to her hip! He is normally very shy so I was shocked when he first met her and took to her right away. I believe animals are very good judges of character and bugsy definitely approves of her! She always follows my instructions to a T, no matter how tedious or annoying they may be! Im a bit of an over bearing pet parent but thanks so much for dealing with me Madison! I wouldn’t use anyone else :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Goshen. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
