Sandra is amazing! She took such good care of our two dogs. She was very communicative, sent a lot of update pictures and was fast to respond to any questions or updates. When our flight got canceled, she kept our dogs for an extra night on short notice. Thank you for taking such good care of our dogs!

She is truly amazing. She instantly made me feel at ease leaving our baby. Very communicative, daily updates with photos and videos. She goes above and beyond. Our baby suffers from allergies, and she was great with keeping up medications and updates on symptoms. It was his first birthday not at home with us, and she went out of her way to ensure his day was special and got him special birthday treats. She made him feel comfortable, very loving and truly caring. I can tell she has a big heart, and really has a love for animals, I saw she really cared. It was so nice to see, she eased my mind, especially as I tend to over worry about him, and he was very happy with her as so were we. We would DEFINITELY rebook. I cannot thank her enough for her care, love, attentiveness she had for our baby Guinness.

We had a fabulous time with Daniel and Victoria! They are wonderful hosts, We were treated extra special ! ALL the time ! We got to play in the yard, go for walks on the trail, sleep in their very comfy bed and have delicious meals and snacks while we all hung out on the couch and watched TV- We loved how calm, clean, and quiet their home is, especially Mabel, because she’s a bit shy and doesn’t like it when it too loud. Daniel and Victoria let us come over for a visit before our stay, just to make sure we all felt comfortable- We can’t wait to come back for another visit ! Thanks again Daniel and Victoria ! Love Bosco and Mabel - ( Sara too)

I am very happy with the care that my Dallas received while staying with Christina. Dallas is a timid dog and I was concern that she would have problems being away from home. But she was fine, Christina took good care of her and that means a lot to me. I like to travel twice a year and I will be using Christina for all of my future travels!

My dog Griffin has been to other Rover sitters and this was the first time he showed me that he was completely comfortable from the moment he walked in the door at our meet and greet! He walked around the place like it was his own home! Amy and her family took care of Griffin for a 2 night stay. I was so happy he would be able to play with her kids and the other dogs there, as he loves attention from all beings. I will look to see if Amy is available any time Griffin needs sitting again! Thanks again, Amy!

Cindy was great and really put my mind at ease when she looked after my dog, Roxi. We had never boarded her before and were nervous to leave her alone with someone she didn't know. Cindy first did a meet & greet beforehand to make sure Roxi would be comfortable around her & her pets. Then after I booked her, she sent me multiple pics and updates daily and assured me Roxi was doing fine which I so appreciated. I will definitely be using her next time I need a sitter! Great experience!

About: I have 15+ years of experience boarding and caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities, providing a safe and loving environment for dogs has been a part of my life for many years. My family has a long history of boarding and breeding hunting dogs through established bloodlines in Scotland, giving me experience with dogs and their individual personalities from an early age. I intentionally board no more than three guest dogs at a time. Keeping our guest list small allows me to provide personalized attention and gives each dog the opportunity to settle into our home and become part of the family during their stay. 🏡 A true home-away-from-home: I don't routinely use cages or kennels. Our guests are welcome to freely roam and enjoy the home just like our own resident dog, Benji does. If your dog is crate-trained and you prefer that their normal crate routine be maintained, we're happy to accommodate that as well. 🐾Room to explore: My home sits on two acres with a beautiful pond, and walking trails offering plenty of interesting sights and smells for supervised outdoor adventures and potty breaks. 🌳Right on the Heritage Trail: I am fortunate to be located directly along the Heritage Trail, making it easy to incorporate leashed walks, fresh air, exercise, and plenty of sniffing into our guests' stays. 🐶 All shapes, sizes & personalities welcome: From little pups to gentle giants, energetic personalities to professional couch loungers, we understand that every dog is different. I do take the time to learn your dog's routine, personality, preferences, and comfort level. 📸 You'll receive photos and updates throughout your dog's stay, so you can see how they're doing and enjoy your time away with peace of mind. 🚗 Transportation is also available for an additional fee, depending on location, and I am happy to accommodate extended stays of 7+ nights. My goal is simple: provide a warm, comfortable place where your dog can enjoy their own little vacation while you're enjoying yours. Rest assured, during your pups stay they will be only with a familiar face, Benji the house resident and myself :)❤️🐾 Pet care is a natural part of our everyday routine. Because I welcome a maximum of only three guest dogs at a time, I'm able to give each pup plenty of individual attention throughout the day. Our guests enjoy regular leashed walks and potty breaks, including walks along the beautiful Heritage Trail located right by our home. There is plenty of time for play, exploring, naps, cuddles, and simply relaxing with us around the house. I do my best to maintain each dog's normal feeding, sleeping, walking, and medication schedule so their stay feels as comfortable and familiar as possible. I also welcome extended stays of 7+ nights and offer transportation for an additional fee when needed. My home is located on two beautiful acres with a pond and direct access to the Heritage Trail, giving your dog plenty of opportunities for supervised outdoor time, adventurous sniffs, and leashed walks. Inside, I provide a cage-free, home-style environment. Guest dogs have free roam of my home and are treated like part of the family rather than being kept in kennels. I will use a crate if an owner requests it because that is what their dog is accustomed to at home. I accept dogs of all sizes and personalities and take time to learn about each dog’s temperament, routine, habits, and individual needs before their stay. I limit boarding to a maximum of three guest dogs at a time so I can provide close supervision and personalized attention. With more than 15 years of dog-boarding and care experience, creating a safe, loving, and comfortable environment is always my priority. Owners also receive regular photos and updates while they’re away. I encourage clients parents to check in whenever they would like - even a facetime here and there would be nice!

I have always been very happy with Maria watching our dogs. I have used her any time we go on vacation and my daughter is a regular customer now too. The thing I like best ( and my dogs like too) is this is not a kennel- it’s a home that they become part of the family. My dogs never liked kennels and became very upset whenever I brought them to one. At Maria’s they jumped out of the car and were happy to be there - like visiting a relative home. I’m very glad I found Maria and most of all my dogs are very glad too!

Fig had a wonderful time with Jane and her family. We were nervous as he can have some destructive habits when his separation anxiety kicks in, but Jane and Michaela put me at ease during the meet and greet. I insisted on bringing his large crate so that he didn't eat their house if they weren't home, and they were so comfortable with him after the first day that they didn't even need the crate. Fig had a great time, and I was reassured with daily photos of him playing frisbee and generally being spoiled. Highly recommend. Fig will definitely be visiting again.

Sandra and her husband were absolutely amazing with our puppy, Roxxi, while we were out of the country for five days! From the moment we left, they treated her with so much love, attention, and AMAZING care. Sandra kept me updated with messages and videos throughout our trip, which really helped calm my nerves and allowed me to enjoy our vacation knowing Roxxi was in great hands. She was also extremely responsive anytime I checked in. It truly felt like Roxxi was being cared for like she was part of their family. My family and I are so incredibly grateful for Sandra and her husband and cannot thank them enough for taking such wonderful care of our baby! We would absolutely trust them with Roxxi again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone loving, dependable, and attentive to care for their fur baby! 🐶💕

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
