“Jadyn was so so great with my girls! this was a last-minute request and she helped us out. No problem and I got two very happy very tired puppies when I picked them up, could not recommend her more for any of your doggy daycare needs.”

“I really appreciate how wonderful Sandra is with my Bella! I love that she sends pictures and updates. It's nice to able to relax while we're away because we know our doggy is safe and well cared for.”

“Daniel watched our one and a half year old cockapoo for a long weekend. Our pup had a great time. Daniel sent daily updates and took him for walks. There is a fenced in yard which was great too! We will definitely book again for future trips.”

“David and his wonderful family are the definition of “above and beyond” when watching our pup Eleanor! He took very special care to provide enrichment, exercise, and to make sure all of her needs were met. He kept diligent notes for us, was an excellent communicator, and was clearly so invested in the health and happiness of our pup. He even sent us home with a couple of treats he’d found out she liked! He’s absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend him enough.”

“I had a great experience with Maria. It’s evident that she and her family truly love animals based on how well they cared for my cat, Pumpkin. Maria also responds quickly and happily sent photos showing Pumpkin as happy and healthy, which I really appreciate. 10/10 I will be booking again! Thanks Maria!”

“Terrance is definitely someone you can leave you dog with and won't have to worry about anything. He has prior experience with dealing with them, his dogs are friendly and calm. My dog isn't used to interacting with other dogs, but with Terrance and his dogs, Leo was able fit right into the pack. I will definitely book with Terrance again.”

“A wonderful experience for Oliver, the 15 yr old terrier mix! Annie took great care of him and to ease our minds, she send a text with a picture so we could see he was in good hands. I highly recommend Annie, she is a very loving and knowledgeable caretaker. We will be using her services again next week for the Thanksgiving holiday!! Thanks a million Annie....!! xxxooo, Oliver and family!”

“You can tell how much Natasha and Hamir really care about dogs and they took such good care of our 6-month poodle puppy Jujuba during our 10-day trip. We were very worried as it was our first time away from our puppy but they did an amazing job treating him as if he was theirs and putting all our worries at ease. Natasha sent us updates everyday with pictures and prioritized Jujuba’s safety. The dog area is separated from the kitchen by gates, so you don’t need to worry about puppy swallowing something that’s not good for them. Natasha and Hamir not only took him on regular walks, but also kept him away from heat when it was too hot outside. Our puppy gets some eye allergy and Natasha cleaned his eyes as I asked. We could see how comfortable and happy Jujuba got with them when we picked him up. We will definitely use them again in future! 🥰🥰”

“Cherissa was an amazing host. I had a cancellation last minute with a sitter due to an emergency and she was available and so easy to work with. She shared pictures and updates of our puppy multiple times throughout the day of what my fur baby was doing. I will definitely be booking with Cherissa again.”

“This was our first time leaving our little Pug, Pancake, with Jane & Michaela. The meet and greet was fantastic-perfect way for everyone to meet each other and see if we were a good fit. Pancake has a quirky personality-she needs to sleep with a person, under the covers, every night:)-and that was totally okay with them. We knew then that these were going to be Pancake's new best friends:) Our trip was out of the country and the daily updates, pictures and videos were so appreciated and adorable. Our boys looked forward to the "Pancake Update" every night. It was such a relief to know she was being well taken care of and she was happy. They kept her active all week and she came home to us happy and healthy. We truly felt she was a member of their family for the week. Will always use these ladies in the future. Perfect pug sitters:) Do not hesitate to book with them!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
