“I did not want to put my dogs in a kennel and was looking for a quiet home for the dogs to stay. Maria provided the perfect place for them. A quiet home on a dead end street where they were given long walks and personal attention during their stay. Maria provided video and pictures to us during their stay. I plan on using Maria again on our next vacation and would recommend her.”

“We were nervous to leave our anxious dog (this was his first time ever being away from us), but Sandy made both us and him feel right at home. She provided consistent updates over the 3 days and was very responsive via text. I would definitely use Sandy again and would highly recommend her to others.”

“David was THE BEST!! I left my dog in David's care for two weeks and I never had a single moment of worry or doubt. He was a thoughtful, dedicated sitter who went above and beyond. My dog Charlie has trauma/aggression issues that make it hard for me to feel safe leaving him with a sitter, but David was extremely attentive and extremely careful. And when my dog got finicky with anxiety and didn't want to touch his meals, David went the extra mile with treats and enticements to keep him eating regularly. Charlie was in the best hands around. Highly recommended!!”

“Daniel took very good care of my boy. He was not used to being away from me, but I feel like he felt like home. Daniel sent me photos and daily updates. I do not live in the area, but I definitely recommend Daniel.”

“Beckie and her family were the perfect home away from home for our high-energy 2yo German Shepherd. She has a beautiful and massive back yard and provided photo updates throughout the stay. We’ll happily trust Beckie with Echo on future trips and highly recommend her!”

“This was our second time boarding Billie with Sonia and her family, and we are so glad to have found someone local who takes such good care of Billie! Thank you to Sonia, Brian, and Vivian!”

“Megen was great, our dog came back very happy! Megen's pets were great play friends and she communicated well while we were away. Megen was also very flexible with drop off and pick up which we really appreciated.”

About: I've been caring for dogs since middle school, including over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog, Aubrey. I've also had family, friends, and neighbors rely on me to walk, feed, groom, and care for their pets. Over the years, I've gained experience with dogs of many sizes, breeds, and personalities, including Golden Retrievers, mixed breeds, Yorkshire Terriers, hounds, Chihuahuas, and Corgis. I especially enjoy caring for senior pets and making sure they receive the patience, attention, and affection they deserve. I like spending quality time with them, grooming them, observing their behavior and how they're doing, and making sure they're comfortable and cared for. I've also expanded my experience through volunteer work with Rockland Orange Furrever Homes and the Hudson Valley SPCA, where I've worked with shelter animals and gained additional experience observing animal behavior and providing hands-on care. Whether your pet needs a good walk, a meal, some grooming, companionship, or simply someone who will give them plenty of love and attention, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I currently have a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I enjoy making time for walks, play, grooming, companionship, and simply getting to know each pet's personality and routine. I'm able to be flexible with my availability and want every pet in my care to feel comfortable, safe, and loved. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and following their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure doors, gates, and other exits are secure, provide fresh water and meals according to the owner's instructions, and give pets plenty of attention and exercise. I also pay close attention to their behavior and overall condition so I can recognize anything unusual and communicate concerns to their owner. During walks, I use safe handling practices and stay aware of the pet's surroundings, other animals, and potential hazards. I want every pet to feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away.
“We are so grateful for the amazing care you gave Cloud while we were away! You went above and beyond—keeping us updated the whole time and sending the sweetest pictures that truly put our mind at ease. It was clear he was in great hands. Til next time!”

“Cici was wonderful with Ruby! I had another rover fall through and Cici worker with me to find a solution. We were able to have a very slow and steady meet and greet. It gave Ruby a ton of confidence for the stay. All the updates about how my pup was fitting in with her family were great. She handled the pup well. Would highly recommend”

“I had an exceptional experience. Mildred was so kind and responsive to all my inquiries. I was a little nervous leaving my Max since he's only been with my daughter and I for a few months. but he was well taken care of! I will definitely recommend Mildred for boarding services, and I will be definitely using her in the future. Thanks again Mildred :-)”

“Daniela took exceptional care of my fur-baby, keeping me up to date with beautiful pictures and messages. I recommend her 100% 😀 Thank you Daniela, you are the pet sitter I always needed.”
“Seamus had a great overnight sleepover and loved playing with the other dogs. Gabe is great with dogs and there’s lots of room for them to run. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.”

“Rebecca was amazing!! This was my first time leaving my baby with someone & she definitely put my nerves at ease! She also accepted the booking very last minute. She sent so many photos & updates too, will definitely book with her again! Thank you!! ❤️”

“Amazing dog sitter, very loving, caring and attentive 👏🏻My dog had a great time , he had lots of fun outside, their yard is huge and fenced . I’m very happy and looking forward for a repeat 🫶Thank you ❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Volha was an amazing sitter. She met up with us before and asked super comprehensive questions to get to know Milly, sent daily updates and photos so we know she was well taken care of, and made our trip away so stress-free. Milly especially loves playing with young kids and it’s clear that Volha’s daughters love, respect, and have been around dogs their whole lives. We will definitely be using Volha and her family’s services again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Montgomery
Kevin was very kind to Pearl and seemed to take good care of her. The only issue I had was there was some lack in communication. I would have to be the one who would ask how she was doing and if I could get pictures of her. As a dog owner I just wanted to feel like I was getting more updates on how she was doing, what she was doing and if there were any issues. Also there were a few items that didn’t get returned to me that I took to Kevin’s house for my dog. He is great and loves dogs that’s for sure. I would use him again and just hope to have more communication especially when we were away so long it would be nice to know how she was doing every few days and get a picture

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
