About: Hi there.. I have always owned a dog in my life. I have worked at an animal shelter for 2 1/2 years taking care of the dogs. I have been around most breeds and personality types. I am calm and patient around dogs and know how to read their body language. But I also love to be goofy and playful with them when the environment is right. I believe every dog is an individual and what might work for one dog won’t always work for another. I have some dog training under my belt from working with other trainers and taking classes but I’m not certified yet. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out! I am currently working part time at an animal shelter so I have plenty of time to dedicate to working with your pups! I currently only offer dog walking and stop ins but will eventually start boarding. I currently don’t offer boarding but I will eventually! About: I take pride in my work and strive to treat each and every animal I care for as I would my own personal pets. I personally understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your furry family members and do my best to make the experience as amazing as possible for both pets and pet parents. I have worked in the pet care industry for over ten years now. I began dog walking in NYC, then managed a luxury boarding/daycare facility for dogs in East Syracuse. About: Growing up I’ve always had dogs and truly think they’re amazing creatures. I’m comfortable with all sizes, and had several larger dogs throughout my life. I will be very patient and kind to your pup and keep their safety and well being my priority! Right now my availability is pretty open and my schedule is very flexible. About: I’ve taken care of my own, and my extended families, dogs for years now and love every second of it. I treat them like my own and appreciate all the love they give me and I give it all back to them. I also have a cat and she’s my best friend. “Dawn is excellent! I highly recommend for anyone to trust your pet with her. My pup has separation anxiety and we have never left him with anyone or boarded him because of his anxiety. The first day we met Dawn our puppy didn’t want to come home! He felt comfortable with her and her Maestro. We left him with her for 1 day and he came home so tired he rested the rest of the night and entire next day, and for our guy that is unheard of, he’s very high energy! Then we left him with her for 3 nights and he had a blast! She sent updates with videos and pics which was very nice as we missed him so much for it being the first time we’ve left him. I follow all instructions closely and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind and ensure your pets feel loved every step of the way. I’d love to meet you and your furry family members! I am very active and love going for walks so if it includes your fur baby that’s a plus! I am here to fit your fur babies needs. I love bonding with ALL animals. I have a horse, a cat and two dogs of my own who I love and care for daily. I love giving treats, baths and lots of play time.
“Kate has a very warm demeanor and my first impression when I brought our dog Astrid over to her house for a meet and greet before boarding, was that she would care for our dog as if she were her own. Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”
“Karen and Richard were absolutely amazing! We were very worried about leaving Bentley for the first time with new humans, as he has always been with family members while we have gone away. We did a full day and an overnight, and we could tell that Bentley had a blast when we picked him up! They sent us pictures throughout the entire stay and Bentley had a great time with the other dogs there. Definitely going to rebook!”
