About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals since I was 8. My passion for dogs will never stop growing. I have worked with dogs for 4 plus years now, from boarding, grooming and all around care. I treat and love every dog like my own. Use this link to get $20 off on your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/sabris67056 I’m currently in online school pursing my bachelors, so I have extra time on my hands. I will be in school for the next year. So why not do what I love, right? I have a very friendly dog who is very gentle with all dogs. If your pup stays with me they can be separated with no issue if you prefer. Or have a bestfriend to play with. I have my vet assistant certification to know if there are any abnormal issues or concerns with your pups. I also have 4 plus years of working in a dog boarding kennel so I worked with many breeds including large dog breeds.
“This was the first time using Rover. I will absolutely trust Dawn to watch my Lily again. Dawn was understanding with me and my fears of leaving my pup. Her family was very welcoming as well. She went above and beyond on making her home pet friendly. I received many photos and videos to set my mind at ease. If 6 stars was option I would give it to her!”

“Beckie and her family were the perfect home away from home for our high-energy 2yo German Shepherd. She has a beautiful and massive back yard and provided photo updates throughout the stay. We’ll happily trust Beckie with Echo on future trips and highly recommend her!”

About: Originally from upstate NY, I spent time working as a professional veterinary assistant in Atlanta, GA while in school. In this role, I worked directly under a veterinarian to monitor, clean, and provide medical check-ups for dogs at local pet centers, while also providing care for other animals at a boarding and daycare resort. With this hands-on experience, I am deeply familiar with dog health, sanitization, and administering medications. I enjoy spending time with dogs, understand how to spot early signs of illness, and know how to keep dogs on a fun and healthy routine. Since moving back to upstate NY, I do part-time work as a tech consultant from home. This allows me to give plenty of attention to your pet, while also providing plenty of outdoor activities. My wife also works from home, which allows her the flexibility to help as well. Our house is situated right next to the D&H Canal trail, and we take regular walks on a daily basis.Whether your dog is a growing puppy who needs attentive care or an older dog who requires a reliable, experienced handler, my top priority is maintaining their health, safety, and happiness while you are away. My wife and I both work part-time from home, which gives us highly flexible schedules to prioritize your pet's care throughout the week. Our daily routine naturally includes multiple walks along the scenic D&H Canal trail, which directly borders our property. Because our work keeps us at home, guest pets enjoy consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playful companionship. Our home sits far back from the road at the end of a long driveway, offering a very quiet, safe environment. We sit on 10 acres of land, featuring 3 groomed acres for supervised play and 7 acres of private woods. While our yard is only partially fenced, we have two large, fully enclosed decks that are completely fenced in—perfect for safe sunbathing, lounging, and secure outdoor activities. We also utilize a collapsible fence that we can pull out and set up to create customized secure boundaries if necessary. For exercise, dogs are strictly supervised and kept on-leash as we head down the driveway to our private access point for the D&H Canal trail, keeping them completely away from traffic.

I’m available all week and can be flexible for any pet caring needs. Whether it’s last minute, early mornings or late evenings. I am reliable! I keep pets safe by following your routine for feeding, walks, and medication. Doors and gates stay closed, and I always use a leash outside.
“Alexis is great she takes care of our dogs so well. We appreciate how she exercises them regularly. And sends us pictures of how well they’re doing. They are very happy with her care. We are confident in her and look forward to the next kenneling !”

About: I recently had a German shepherd that lived to 14 years old. I know how to care for senior dogs, I know what it entails. I have no problem administering medicine. He also wasn't friendly with other dogs and I know it's hard to find sitters who also don't have animals. I do not have any animals in my home which will allow me and my family to give all the time, love and attention to your fur baby. I am a stay-at-home mom so I can give your pet plenty of attention. I have a fenced-in backyard that your dog can roam and I like to go on walks. Your dog is allowed to freely roam around my home. I can also crate if needed if you provide the crate. I have a fenced backyard that the dog can access at any time and I have 3 children who would absolutely LOVE to play with and spoil your dog once home from school. If I am at a client's home, I can do whatever the client would like me to do. Feed, fill up the water bowl, administer medicine, let the dog outside and play with him/her in the backyard for a while. I just want the animal to feel comfortable, loved and taken care of.

“Chelsea is a wonderful dog sitter!! She is prompt, responsive to texts and emails and is an absolute delight. She treated my dog like one of her own. Couldn’t ask for a better dog watcher. Will DEFINITELY call her again!!”

“Megen was great, our dog came back very happy! Megen's pets were great play friends and she communicated well while we were away. Megen was also very flexible with drop off and pick up which we really appreciated.”

“All I can say is WOW! I have two dogs, one very anxious who takes medicación, and I had a sudden death in my family which meant I had to travel with no notice. My usual dog sitters were on vacation and I found Courtney on Rover. She immediately responded to my request, called me from Rover late on a Sunday night at my request, and kindly and patiently explained how she would take care of the dogs. I dropped my dogs off the next day and immediately felt better after meeting Courtney and Kevin and seeing their beautiful place and yard. They kept my mind at ease, sent updates throughout the days I was gone, and were flexible about the timing of pickup when I couldn’t make the time we originally discussed. My dogs came home happy and tired and smelling AMAZING as if they had been freshly groomed. Their blankets, bowls, and harnesses were kept neat and organized. Courtney even washed their blankets before I picked them up. I cannot overstate the excellence of this wonderful couple and the care they took of my dogs. The dogs will definitely be back in the future.”

“Cindy was wonderful! She happily accepted our 5 year old Lab for a 4 day stay with only 4 day’s notice. Just when we were feeling guilty about not bringing Sybil on our trip a pic of her looking comfy and happy would show up to make us smile and know she was being taken good care of. Sybil enjoyed her stay at Cindy’s beautiful property and enjoyed her walks in the country too! Absolutely top notch stay in every regard.”

“Jack and I are so blessed to have Gabriel and Annie. I always feel confident that my sweet boy is going to be well cared for. They are very loving and attentive to my fragile old boy. Thank you both once again for giving me peace during my time away from Jack. I will be forever grateful ❤️”

“We had to board our 2-year-old cur Rocky, who was skittish around other dogs and had never been boarded. She allowed us to get him acclimated with doggie daycare sessions which made him more comfortable with her. He stayed with Tara 11 days and we got multiple videos and text messages and photos from Tara concerning Rocky. Each day he was a little more comfortable with the other dogs and began playing with them instead of just sniffing them and watching them play with other dogs. He got plenty of exercise and I think he might have even lost a pound or two by staying more active with Tara than with us. I couldn't have chosen a better person to watch Rocky during our vacation. I cannot recommend Tara enough when it comes to pet sitting!”
“Gretchen took excellent care of my dog while I was away. He seemed very happy during his stay. I also received daily photos and updates about how he was doing. I'll definitely use Gretchen's services again.”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
