About: Hi, I’m Ady and I’d love to care for your furry friends! I have worked with rescue and foster dogs for the past six years, caring for a wide range of behavioral issues, medical problems and physical therapy, as well as severe separation anxiety. If your dog is shy or aggressive around new people, or a rescue who may need some extra support—I’m the pet sitter for you! I currently work part time, so I will have plenty of time to look after your pets! I do have reliable transport from the heart of Woodstock to the surrounding area so I’m happy to make a bit of a drive to reach you, even just for drop-ins or walks. My partner is unfortunately allergic to furry friends, so I get my fill of dogs through pet-sitting as much as possible! I approach each dog gently and slowly, attending to each dog’s unique personality and behavioral/medical requirements. I’d love the opportunity to make your dog feel comfortable while you’re away! My philosophy regarding anxiety in dogs is to mimic their regular routine as much as possible. So, whatever that may mean for your lifestyle and your dog, I’ll do what I can to ensure your dog feels safe. I am also happy to attend to any house-sitting duties (watering plants, taking in mail, etc) while I’m caring for your furry friend! I fostered a two-year-old rescue Catahoula & Pitbull mix this past Winter, with a routine of four walks a day and positive-reinforcement recall and leash training. If there’s anything specific you’d like me to work on with your dog, please let me know! Otherwise, I will make sure your dog is properly cared for and surrounded by a calming, loving companion.

We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for our dog. From the very first meeting, it was clear how much love and professionalism she brings to her work. She was attentive, reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure our pup was happy, safe, and cared for. We especially appreciated the updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It’s such a relief knowing our dog was in such good hands. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and truly devoted to animals. She’s simply the best!

Couldn’t have asked for more from David. I was 3 hours away when I noticed in my camera that my dog was eating his bed in his crate. It was David’s first ever visit with my dog and I put the poor guy through the wringer. He made sure my dog was ok and I am so grateful for everything.

We had a lovely meet and greet with Barbara. She was great with Dot while we were away as we could tell from her messages and pictures - and that Dot was a happy little critter when we got home. It's nice to leave Dot with someone we know will take good care of her.

About: Hello! I’m a professional writer who works from home and often watches my neighbors’ dogs just because I think it’s fun. I joined Rover to help others who might need last-minute dog sitting. My own golden retriever Emmett chills with me all day and we go for walks around the block at lunchtime and we’d love for your friend to join us! I host one dog at a time (in addition to Emmett). I’ve been around dogs and pets of all kinds my whole life and am happy to just spend some quality time feeding, patting, walking or running with a good pooch. I’m super comfortable with all breeds, just maybe not strong enough to handle anyone over 100 pounds unless they’re super well trained. I’ve seen Emmett and my previous dogs, Henry and Teddy, through all kinds of ear infections, hot spots, and geriatric arthritis treatments and am really good at finding ticks! My brother has Emmett’s brother, Gary, so you’ll see the two of them in a few pics together. I’m a remote freelance writer so my schedule is very flexible. I walk Emmett every day at least three times a day so it’s really easy to add an additional dog to the mix. I’m home all day so we all hang. Our yard is unfortunately not fenced but because I spend a lot of time at my computer I balance that with a lot of midday dog walks. When your pet stays here it’s very chill; as long as your dog gets along with Emmett they’ll have full range of the house and can snooze wherever and then we’ll go walk about around the block a few times, which nets out to be about a mile.

Linda was such a wonderful sitter for my little Lulu. Usually Lu is a bit crazy after I come back from a trip and she was calm as can be. I attribute that Linda’s warm presence as much as her care.

About: With over 30 years of hands-on experience as a small and large animal owner, vet tech and care provider, I offer reliable, compassionate care for animals of all sizes. I provide both in-home boarding and house visits, ensuring pets stay comfortable, safe, and well cared for in their own environment. My background in veterinary care allows me to handle medications, special needs, and emergencies. My goal is to give consistent, attentive care while maintaining each pet’s routine and well-being. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because it’s been a part of my life and career for over 30 years. Each day is structured around feeding schedules, walks, exercise, medication administration, health checks, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I plan my schedule to ensure every animal receives consistent, reliable care without being rushed. Weekly routines include maintaining clean, safe environments, monitoring changes in behavior or health, and communicating updates with owners. Because animal care is my priority—not a side task—pets receive dependable, attentive care as part of a well-organized routine. I provide attentive, individualized care in both my home and my client’s home, depending on the service requested. Care includes feeding, fresh water, leash walks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I offer leash walks and supervised outdoor time in my securely fenced yard for safe play and enrichment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines to minimize stress and maintain consistency. All services are fully tailored to each client’s requests, including special needs, medication administration, and specific care instructions, to ensure every pet is comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

About: I grew up in upstate New York, right outside of New York City. We always had a large dog and multiple cats. We've had fish and birds as well. We love animals and have rescued many strays. I am prone to taking dogs on long walks and hikes as I'm used to this from my upbringing. I am a very active and am willing to take your dog on out door adventures too. I've worked a lot with blind dog rescues as well. I've provided medical care and a lot of out doggie patient services to these blind dogs who are just trying to have a happier life. I think dogs are beautiful, loving creatures that bring so much joy to anyones life. I look forward to caring for yours! *I will sleep over your house, I don’t leave dogs alone overnight. The meet & greet is as important for me as it is the dogs to make sure I feel comfortable staying at your house. **I travel for work so my calendar may change further out. Please send me a note inquiring for dates more than 3 months away as my schedule may change from what is currently listed. I am a remote worker so as long as there is wifi in your home, I can spend all day with them. I will thoroughly love as many walk breaks as they'd like! I work with the owners on what is best for their dogs. I don't bring dogs into my own home so its really up to you and how you'd prefer me to manage them.

About: I would love to take your dog for a walk or hike in and around the Woodstock area. I have many years of experience owning dogs and cats, and dog and cat sitting for friends since I was a kid. I have also spent time walking dogs at animal shelters and am trained in pet first aid and cpr. I love big dogs, little dogs and anything in between :) I'm usually available during the day and some evenings and weekends. I love to hike and would also be happy to hike with your dog. I'm passionate about health and wellness and natural living. I'm originally from the UK but have been living in NY for over two decades. I live in the Woodstock area with my two daughters, our two rescue dogs and our rescue kitten. I’m usually out walking dogs in the morning and working from home in the afternoons. My dogs love to play with other pups and we enjoy going on long walks or taking care of pets in our home. I’m also available for drop in visits at your home, or for your dogs to stay at our home while you are away. I always keep dogs on the leash and make sure we get plenty of time outside. I have plenty of dog toys and beds in the house for playing and naps.

Kim did an outstanding job caring for our cat, Nellie. I enjoyed the videos and the conversations. Kim was clearly building a nice relationship with Nellie who does tend to be shy. Additionally, Kim took good care of our plants and diligently followed all feeding and other instructions.

About: I have over 5 years of professional experience owning and operating a dog care company, where I provide dependable, hands-on care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I currently own and train dogs, including service dogs and dogs working toward their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, which has given me extensive experience with daily routines, consistency, and individualized care. In addition to my professional work, I’ve also worked with foster dogs, helping provide stable, attentive care as they transition into new homes. This experience has made me patient, reliable, and comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of backgrounds. Beyond my professional experience, I have over 30 years of owning, caring for, and loving my own animals and those of friends and family. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I prioritize safety, reliability, and clear communication. I follow owner instructions closely, maintain consistent schedules, and make sure every pet feels secure and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s what I’ve built my life around. My goal is always to give pet parents peace of mind and provide loving, dependable care. My schedule is very flexible, as I’m a salaried employee, which allows me to adjust my availability around the needs of the pets in my care. I’m able to accommodate a variety of schedules, including daytime visits, extended stays, and last-minute requests when possible. This flexibility helps me provide consistent, attentive care without rushing, and ensures pets receive the time and attention they deserve. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. Pets in my care are welcomed into my home and treated as part of the household, with the freedom to relax and roam as if it were their own home. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment and closely follow any care instructions provided. My goal is to create a secure, stress-free space where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease while their owners are away.

In November my previous Rover pet-sitter found full-time employment so I needed to find a new sitter for my amazing cat Huckleberry and quickly because my husband and I would be traveling over Christmas week. I immediately started my search for local pet-sitters on the Rover app. When I read Arthur’s bio I was immediately struck by his focus on cats. This was not something I had seen before as cats typically seem to be an afterthought or at least second to dogs in most pet-sitters bios. I contacted him right away and asked about his availability for Christmas week and could he come by that weekend for a meet and greet. He said yes to all and the rest is history! Long story short, he took great care of Huckleberry. He didn’t just drop in and feed him, he really played with and enjoyed him. When our flight got canceled Arthur had no issue taking on another shift with very short notice. I can’t say enough good things about Arthur, he really loves cats and even shared product recommendations that worked with his cats. I would definitely book him again.
