Animals always sit on my feet!
While I grew up with beagles and then German Shepherds, I adopted my first cat when I was 25. Since then, I have loved more than 30 cats, usually have more than one at a time. I have taken care of dogs of my family and friends since I was a teenage babysitter. I'm a Reiki Master Teacher and I can offer Reiki for pets which may explain while pets tend to sit on my feet when I am with them

Safety, trust & environment
I have a dog crate and smaller carriers to use in my car should I need to transport your pet to go for a walk in a nearby park or a trip to your vet. I will approach your pet gently when entering your home. I will play with them, provide their meals and fresh water, take them for walks with baggies and/or clean litter boxes daily. I will follow your routine to help your pets feel secure in your absence. I will groom the pets if they accept such care.

Always great to have Barbara spend time with my dog, Arthur. She is very communicative and provides updates that make it clear he is well looked after.
While my 2 cats (brother and sister) are extremely shy with strangers and never came out from underneath the bed during Barbara's visits, I was pleased that she sent photos of them in hiding! It was comforting to know that they were being fed properly and the litter boxes were cleaned in our absence. I would highly recommend Barbara and Rover. My cats missed out on meeting this lovely woman.
It was a pleasure to have Barbara take care of my dog. She took the time to come by for a meet and greet before the walk to meet him and understand any nuances. For the walk she was on time, communicative, and great with my dog (even if he barked a lot)! Will definitely use again.
Barbara was a blessing for me over the last two weeks. I found myself needing to go to post op rehab and desperately needed someone to look after my kitty, Henry. She was wonderful. She was there for him everyday and left helpful report cards every day so that I'd be a little less worried.I appreciate her kindness and care during this difficult period. Hopefully I will find a more pleasant reason to be away from home for a few days in the near future and I would certainly book her again.
Barbara had a lot to put up with given my cat's inclination to be suspicious about people and she did everything she could to help me feel safe. Barbara has danced me so much worry and anxiety over Henry's well being while I'm recovering from knee surgery and I'm very grateful to her and very pleased with her work.

Schedule
I will rearrange my daily schedule to take the best care of your pet(s). I carefully plan my day to meet with all my pet sitting clients on my schedule. I allow time to take care of unexpected messes, such as bear raiding garbage cans during long absences.
