“I was traveling and needed a dog sitter at the last minute. I read all the near by sitters and picked Simona based on reviews & repeat customers. Simona was great! She has a lot of experience with many different dog breeds. McKenzie (9 yrs old) had a great time with all the little dogs & even a puppy! Simona sent photo which was much appreciated. If I find myself back in Boca Raton needing a dog sitter, I will be calling Simona.”

About: My entire family has always had pets, but pets have always been family to me. I found that I have an immense love for these animals and we're so lucky to have them in our lives. My first ever job was animal care! I have volunteered at many animal rescue places, fostered orphaned kittens just for the love of it. I am able to handle breeds large and small, if your pup prefers an outing to the beach I am also willing to offer those services, I hope you find the perfect pet sitter here. I am an artist and would love to fill the time not working with some good exercise with dogs or even a relaxing day with a kitty, my schedule is relatively open and I am able to handle early clients. Any required walks, medications, accident cleanup, and feedings + litter changes are offered with my services. In my own home it would be strictly indoor care, I offer crate services for dogs in a very quiet relaxed environment overnight. If the dog has a lot of energy and friendly I am willing to have them roam around the house and do a lot of leash time outdoors walking or running in my quiet and clean neighborhood.
“Cristina was awesome! She was quick to communicate, so great with dogs and has a great place with a backyard for the dogs to play, My golden retriever loved that she has two sweet goldens that he could play with. It was an easy drop off and pickup, My dog didn’t really want to leave😂. He had received so much loving attention. I highly recommend!!”

About: Leaving your pet behind doesn’t have to mean leaving them without comfort, attention, and routine. At our home, every pet is treated like family—with personalized care, plenty of affection, playtime, and dependable companionship. Whether you’re at work, traveling, or away for the day, you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is safe, happy, and cared for in a familiar environment. Because when you can’t be there, loving care makes all the difference. I miss having a pet. I will treat them like family! If you allow them on the couch or the bed then they are allowed on them at our home. I work from home, so your pet won't be alone for long periods of time. Since I work from home, I am able to take them for walks when they need it. Your pet can sit with us on couch or sleep in our bed.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover, and taking care of pets is something I genuinely enjoy. I have pets of my own, so I know how important it is to leave them with someone you can actually trust and feel comfortable with. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day, I enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their environment. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding, walks playtime ect.
“First time using Rover as usually my friends or family watch my dog. Booked with Randall and Eli with short notice and they did an amazing job! Lots of pictures and excellent communication. Looks like my dog had a great time! Will definitely use them again!”

“Vicky D. Thank you for taking great care of Gia during her stay. Communication was excellent, and the experience was smooth and professional from start to finish. I would happily book with you again and recommend your services to others.”

“Gale is a wonderful dog sitter! My dog Jojo had such a great time with her. She made him feel comfortable, loved, and had lots of fun. I could tell he was happy and well cared for the whole time. Highly recommend her! 🐾”

About: My husband and I have always had a love for animals and have been honored with 4 wonderful dogs thru our 20 year marriage. Also always dogsat walked and took care of dogs in new york . We moved to Florida 4 yrs ago and look forward to doing the same thing here. We know that trust in a dog walker is the most important thing. Hopefully we can help you with your dog walking needs and you can put your mind to rest that we will do our best to keep your dog happy and active. We are a retired couple. My husband a retired law enforcement officer. We love animals and what a better way to spend our days walking dogs. Plus we all get some good exercise. We have a fenced in yard for your dog to chill in the sun with a few walks through out the day. We welcome dogs, cats ,guinea pigs etc. We love them all.
About: I’ve taken care of, or have had many types of pets- all sizes of dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, birds since I was a young kid. In fact, my older sister was a German Shepard 😄. I don’t have my own pets now, though, so pet sitting is the perfect situation for me. I can only accept your pet after a meet n greet about 2weeks prior to the boarding date. This enables us to check if it’s a good match, and if it isn’t, you have time to find someone else😊. My husband and I coordinate care and love for pets. We must have a meet n greet so your pup feels comfortable. I walk a few miles a day, and I have a stroller for dogs who want to be out, but can’t walk that distance. I also take the dogs to the park or along A1A in Delray, but never off leash. I have an upstairs condo, all dogs will get walked multiple times a day. The dog needs to be able to go up/down the stairs, or be small enough for me to carry. Depending on the dog’s temperament, I may introduce them to familiar neighbor’s dogs, or take them on a long walk, or to a park ( but never an off-leash dog park) for a walk and car ride. I have plenty of bowls, beds and an XL crate, so you won’t have to pack too much for your pet’s stay. Meet n greet is a must🙂
“Jaclyn was great with my mini dachshund Betty! She sent me plenty of photos and gave Betty ice cold water after her short walks in the heat! She was communicative to me and kind to my dog. Will be using her again!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for the last 18 years. I have worked with senior dogs and administering medicine as well. I also have worked with puppies. I have done daycare as well as overnight care and long term . I just lost my 18 year old shitzu a few months ago and miss having dogs around. I am home so I am very flexible and attentive to the animals. We can play, go out for walks , eat some treats and chill. I can cook whatever food is needed for each dog. I have a designated room for the dog to chill in between walks. I also have an outdoor lanai that is screened in so really nice to sunbath.
“We were fortunate Suzanne was available for two of the three days we needed day care for our temperamental poodle rescue while we were on vacation in Delray Beach. He is a senior dog who enjoys a quiet environment and someone to give him their undivided attention. Suzanne was the perfect day care sitter for him! When we visit Delray Beach next year, we plan to book with her earlier to make sure she is available for all the days Boscoe needs day care.”

“Trooper received wonderful care during his stay. He definitely looked forward to seeing Jim and family as he raced into the house each morning! He looks forward to seeing you again in the future.”

“Andrew and his dogs were the perfect fit for my dog! My George can be fussy with making friends, but it was love at first sight. They hit it off immediately. They played well and slept well. I have absolute confidence in Andrew. I highly recommend.”

“She was very communicative, kind and understanding to my situations. She reasonably accommodated my dog and took lots of pictures of her day with him. She definitely tired my little one out and I am truly grateful for the car she provided to my dog and I. I would recommend her to you.”

I left my dog with Cristina for a trial day before booking a longer weekend stay, and I couldn't be happier! Her home is incredibly welcoming, and she is wonderful. While I was away, Cristina sent multiple video and picture updates showing my dog having a fantastic time, which gave me total peace of mind. I am completely confident leaving my dog in her care for my upcoming weekend trip and will absolutely be using her services for all future travel. If you want a sitter who is sweet, communicative, and trustworthy, Cristina is the one!

She was very communicative, kind and understanding to my situations. She reasonably accommodated my dog and took lots of pictures of her day with him. She definitely tired my little one out and I am truly grateful for the car she provided to my dog and I. I would recommend her to you.

Simona was kind enough to accommodate a last-minute request for dog care very early in the morning while I took my mother to the hospital. From our first interaction, she struck me as dependable and trustworthy. Knowing my dog was in good hands allowed me to focus fully on my mom during a stressful day. Simona was reliable, communicative, and paid attention to my dog’s needs. She kept me updated on whether my dog was eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom. Despite the extreme heat, she made sure the dogs got outside for bathroom breaks and then had a cool, air-conditioned place to relax, with plenty of dog beds available. She clearly cares about the dogs she watches and seemed comfortable managing multiple dogs at once while still giving them individual attention. I appreciated her help and would use her services again.

Amanda was AMAZING! We booked her very last minute, and she was so accommodating, kind, and communicative throughout Annie’s stay. She has a fully fenced yard, brought Annie along on fun errands, and sent tons of photos and updates that gave us so much peace of mind. Annie looked so happy and well cared for in every picture, and she came home sleepy from all the fun she had. We would absolutely book with Amanda again - we highly recommend her!

She was incredibly sweet and took amazing care of my dog, Milo. It was clear he got lots of love and attention while I was away. She followed all my instructions perfectly, especially with his food, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I’d absolutely trust her again :)

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Golf commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
